Super light and I like this enough to replace the tibloc I´m currently using and elected to get this vs. the Countryman 3 that I´ve seen others use for ascending. In addition, this specific piece of equipment is also highly endorsed by the Alpine Winter Skills Class I took in Bishop Ca. with SMC for Crevasse Rescue. Super light and will carry on my harness for canyoneering. So, while I have the tibloc the fact that once you pull the biner out even with a strand of cord on it, it´s just too easy to lose. When I pull the biner out on this is stay´s on until you slide the plate. This is the second time I´m ordering it so that I have to for ascending.

I have two pro-traxions and one micro. They are similar in how they work except the micro traxion requires you to feed the rope through the sheave vs simply opening the cheek plate on the pro-traxion which saves time and energy. The micro is better for smaller ropes as well, my 11 mm rubs slightly which can suck if you're hauling loads with it. Over-all this is a space saver for the minimalist. Would be great for top rope soloing. Both models have a self-jamming mechanism which will hold your load or stop your fall. I wouldn't make a habit out of it, but in a pinch they can work well as an ascending device too.

I use this device as part of a toprope solo system in tandem with a Petzl Microcender. The teeth catch very well. It's easy to trust your life to this piece of equipment.I've also used it as a progress capture pulley to haul over 100lbs of gear straight up off of an anchor.Make sure you are familiar with this device before using it in any situation. Rock climbing is inherently dangerous. Do not attempt to use this gear without proper instruction.

What everyone else said. This progress capture pulley is bomber, easy to use, lightweight, and practical.... side note: if you're testing it at home by using it as an anchor pulley to hoist yourself, ... don't forget that you'll need some way to unload the device at the top. Quite embarassing being stuck on the ceiling.... so I've, uh, heard.

Purchased a second one to use as an ascender off my belay loop and the first purchased one for my feet (Texas Prusik) and while I love all the aspects of what it´s supposed to do for canyoneering it´ great IF I´m only going up. No way to descend as long as theirs weight from the biner on the device (which I practice with).

Works flawless. Grabs fast, providing you commit your weight to it, its not caused any issues stripping or fluffing up the rope. It can cause issues if you gently pull rope through it.Got 2 of these for top rope soling. Needs a slight weight to help rope kill through smooth. I used coiled rope

Purchased for Lead Rope Solo, it is very comfortable, does not damage the rope, can be used with one hand (also to switch from lock to pulley and vice versa). I would have preferred a greater feeling of robustness, but it is only a matter of taste given the work it has to do.

I've used other progress capture pulleys (mini-trax,pro-trax, wall-hauler) but this thing is the best. If you haul, or need a crevasse rescue rig, this is the one you want. I see no point in Petzl continuing to offer the mini-traxion, the micro-trax blows it out of the water.

awesome product. love having ,the option of having ,a simple pully or with the traxion locked into place. i use this in mountaineering. lightweight easy set up and works well with wet and icy ropes. used one of these while aid climbing and hauling was a lot more efficient.

This is a great product. Do not attempt to move this device backwards along the rope. The teeth with catch the rope sheath. Take the device off the rope and put it where you need it.I use this product for TR solo. I'm comfortable enough with it to not back it up.

What I love about the loop is primarily for such indispensable devices, low weight, ease of use, always with you. It will help in many situations to lift the load, organize the chain hoist, carry out the saved work and all this without unnecessary waste of energy!

Regarding the Silent partner or the mini-traxion used to be the go-tos for rope soloing before, this litte guy is the standard for self belay and rightly so. Very lightweight, very secure and you can use it as a pulley to pull up your rope afterwards.

I've used mine once as an ascender and it's great. The rope feeds through really well - better than the CAMP Lift I have. It has teeth, so important to remember that impact on your rope. I recommend this product!

Get your top rope solo game on. This thing is bomb proof for TR solo. I've used it on my Dynamic rope for lead solo, and on my static rope for regular TR solo. Nice to have a grigri as well to quickly abseil.

The micro traxion pulley is very useful. I have used the big brother to this at work, and purchased this as part of a 4:1 rescue kit. VERY smooth operation and impressively compact! Highly recommend!
