Let me start by saying I'm a bird watcher and so is my whole family. We have tried every kind of binos from Swarovski to the humblest. My mother has a pair of Swarovski's and these pentaxs give them a run for the money! I bought these for our up and coming trip to Central America to go birding and I'm very pleased with them. I've already field tested them many times and I'm very happy with the purchase. My husband has an older pair that are still his favorites he uses all the time. We highly recommend these!

I wasted money Bushnell H2o's which gradually fell apart.Can't afford premium European brands, but Pentax SD's bridge the gap.Lightweight and the clarity, light transmission is excellent.Twist up eye cups for glasses wearers and good quick release rain/lens cover.All the attributes of high end / high price roof prism but on sensible money from world class brand - Pentax / Ricoh Imaging.

These binoculars feel solid in the hand, there's no flex whatsoever and all joints and dials more securely (focusing knob, eye cups).The view is sharp, clear and with nice natural color. Though there's minor color fringing in high contrast situations (branch against grey sky), for actually looking at something instead of stress testing, it's not noticeable at all.

Bought these binoculars for my husband for his birthday. He absolutely loves them. Good size, not too bulky and they work beautifully. Really enhance the Mountain View from our balcony.
