Very good binocular at price I paid £142. Deducting a star because there are no objective lens caps, the case is too tight and the lens caps are so tight they take ages to remove (will try some silicone grease) and the case is too small and in effect works the strap off every time you remove it. At about 350 g, plus allnice design they are useful if you are walking longer distance. I generally use Steiner and the extras are much better( case, strap , covers) . Much better than smaller x25 mm x x26 mm (which is why i choose over steiner 10x26) as the field of view looks better and more useable on these x28. X9 magnification good too. These are a compromise: but a really useful one.

Bought these after much online & high street research.I wear glasses and found the field of view of these to be excellent, better in fact than many of the prestige makes like Swarovski, Leica etc.The image is sharp and bright even in low light conditions and for general use as good as that observed through the prestige makes.These are lightweight but very robust and fold quite small for placing in your pocket or a small bag.It would have been useful if these lens caps were joined together to avoid having two separate items, however I overcame this by sticking them together on a piece of wide black "Duck" tape and then trimming the tape to size.I would thoroughly recommend these binoculars to anybody looking for a pair of practical,

The binoculars are excellent optically, with a clear and bright image, and seem almost as good as my much more expensive Olympus 10 x 42. They feel sturdy, are very compact and fit easily in a coat pocket. However, there are 3 irritating aspects: the case isn't big enough and it's difficult getting the binoculars in and out; the plastic, protective eyepiece caps are far too tight and it's difficult to remove them; the twist-out eyepieces are too slack such that, when I am walking, they keep dropping back down. This means that, if I see a bird, invariably I cannot quickly view it as first I have to twist the eyepieces back out. Despite these issues I am very pleased with the binoculars.

These binoculars have excellent optics, as is to be expected from Pentax. The focussing wheel and eyepiece adjustment control are precise and smooth. They are much lighter than a standard pair as they are made from polymer rather than metal. Nevertheless they seem to be robust and I am confident they will last for ages. The binoculars are fitted with tightly fitting protective caps and are supplied with a snugly fitting padded case. I would highly recomment these to anyone who needs a pair of binoculars for casual use and does not want to lug a heavier pair.

This is the second pair of Pentax binoculars I have owned. When the first pair had a fatal accident I bought these to replace them. I liked the first pair so much that I replaced them and I have found the new pair even better.

These are very good binoculars, with a very bright image and light weight. For me however, the Canon stabilised 8 x 25 were a better choice. They are the same weight, a bit smaller, £50 cheaper and I find them easier to use.

It was a bit smaller than I thought it would be and has a narrow field of view. OK for birdwatching from my patio.

Good quality but little or no accessories and a padded neck strap would also be useful.
