Penn Fierce II 2500 Spinning Fishing ReelSo far so good. I will return and give more information after having this product in use for a while. I like the size, as I have several other reels that are just too big for general opportunities of the fish available and those reels will be used for bigger fish. This reel I will to use on the water from shore and my Kayak. I really like it for it's price, smoothness and the feel of a quality product. My last reel was returned after receiving it, as it was just wobbly when I handled it and I just knew it would probably fail after some use. Not this one! The handle, the bail the spool when felt with a little force held in place and indicated good design and craftsmen ship.

For the money this reel has been perfect; I’ve landed a couple inshore saltwater fish that were about 20lbs with plenty of control over the battle.The drag works great and is easily adjustable on the fly.The only negative I have is that out of the box one of them spooled the line unevenly. They come with some little washers to insert which fixes this however you don’t know it’s wrong until after you spool the line and see it.These are my first Penn reels and I’m very pleased.

Absolutely awesome spinning reel! This reel is built super heavy duty and designed to last... While still being able to pull in large fish. The action is smooth, the bail wire is super thick, large handle, and nice drag. Overall this is a great spinning reel and I highly recommend it

Bottom line is you're not going to find a better reel for the money, no where. It's A1 quality. I got the 2500 series for bass fishing and it's perfect. I'm going to get the Penn Battle ll next. I hear it's even a better reel, but it's more expensive. Either way you can't go wrong.

Used this pier fishing in the gulf. Hardhead cats, croakers, pompano...... Smooth drag. Well balanced on a 7' glass rod. Very well pleased.

Smooth as butter !!!!! Great reel , I have caught at least a hundred crappie on this reel . No issues whatsoever .....

Nice and smooth. Real quiet. No backlash. Not too heavy. Reell in silver salmon in flowing water no problem.

Great solid fishing reel. Smooth casting, smooth and powerful retrieve. Looks good, fishes great.

Nice reel for the price. I caught a bass with it in 10 minutes. I will buy another for my son.

You can't beat a Penn reel. This one replaced my previous 20-yo Penn.i bought 2.
