Love the reel so far. I purchased the 2500 and mounted it on a 7ft Lew’s Speed Stick rod and boy do they make a great combo. It cast unbelievably far and it operates smoothly. I’ve owned the Conflict 1 for about 3 years and so far it’s still operating perfect. I’ve also owned the Clash a few years and it’s still running strong. To me this Conflict 2 is giving the Clash a run for its money when it comes to how everything is operating so far. I have not owned the Conflict 2 that long so I can’t give an opinion on the longevity yet. By the way Ive only used it for freshwater fishing, mainly bass and cats. But I think it’s one of the best reels for the money out there at what I paid for it on Amazon.

Good spinning reel for light duty saltwater. Handles 30" strippers, blue fish, and false albacore with ease. Cast well for a light inexpensive reel using light lures. You can use this reel paired with a light weight rod and be able to fish all day with no fatigue. I Would recommend using for smaller fish. I personally own 3 and use them for the late summer into the end of the season for false albacore and strippers in the cape cod area. I've never personally had and an issue. My fishing partner used the reel for 2 seasons with alot of use and broke a tooth off the oscillating gear catching keeper size stripped bass in the 40" size. Know what your equipment can handle and you'll have minimal failures.

I was lucky enough to hold one of these reels in the local fishing store. What really sold me on this reel was the weight and construction as I plan to use it softbaiting for snapper from my kayak around the coast of New Zealand. It feels a bit more solid and resistant to rust than my Daiwa BG but I would recommend opening it up and giving it a good grease and oil on the metalwork as the factory job is light. Great little reel.

Bought the 3000 model to add to my collection of Shimano and Daiwa reels. Use it for saltwater inshore fishing. Caught 30” trout, snook, red fish, and flounder on this thing. Its very smooth and has good Line capacity. Little heavy, but, doesn’t bother me at all. Drag feels really good! This thing casts very nice too. By far my favorite reel. High quality reel at a fraction of the price for sure!

Of the 4 reels I use, (older penn, Stradic, Spheros and this one) I was getting a lot of wind knots with this one (30lb braid). I had to completely respool it a few time to get it dailed in. I fill it about 3/4 now which is plenty of line it’s working much better. No more birds nests.Overall it’s been working pretty well. Cranks smooth and casts nice. I use on a 7’6” St Croix Avid series.

Very light, I use Battle ll and Pursuit 2000, it feels half as light which is the same size. The action is smooth,lined it with 17 lb. clear mist Nanofil, I have got to get me another one!! By far one of the best reelsPenn has put out, I fought some river stripers today and it proved it's worth. If you want a fishermen to likeyou forever, get him one of these.

There isn’t much I don’t like about this reel, I use it just about every day. I have the 3000 and 4000. Both have 20lb braid. Smooth casting and very light weight. I throw a lot of jigs and spoons and haven’t had an issue with either one and have been using them for about 3 months now. The HT100 drag is also very smooth. I’d recommend this reel.

There isn’t much cut to say about this reel other than wow pretty impressed, it feels like a winch in your hand...really impressed it’s one of only two reels I own that is not a shimano, felt like trying something different and id stack this against my Ci4s anyday, cosmetics of this reel are excellent, exceptional value at this price point

I really like this reel, it's a Smooth Reel, Great for Inshore Light Tackle, Very Light, Looks Great, etc. However, it Needs to Be Cleaned Often, meaning it needs to be carefully freshwater rinsed. Where the handle meets the side of the reel it very very quickly started corroding in between where the carbon fiber meets the aluminum.

Very nice reel and appears to be very good quality. I purchased the Conflict 2 2500 which comes with CNC gears and the HT 100 drag system. It is very light and very smooth. Just what I wanted for drop shot fishing. I use braided line almost all the time and this reel is designed for braid without having to use backing.

Paired it with a 7'0 Penn Battalion. Best combo I've ever owned. Lightweight and easy to work without too much strain on the arm. Definitely would recommend this reel to anyone that does a lot of cast & retrieve, jigging, and wants a product that looks just as beautiful as it performs.

I’m a Conflict fan from way back. Love my new one! The 3000 is a great size for someone looking for something between a 2500 and a 4000. Imma be honest and say imma beat the living hell out of this thing. But I guarantee it’ll hold up just like my others. Happy fishing!!!

Great reel... Smooth and light . I have bought 3 conflict II for my son (2500, 4000, 7000 longcast and it does!). We like them. I'm a captain and have over 30 Penn rod and reels of various styles that I use everday and these are great for personal light weight action.

great reel for the price, l best the hell out of it and it deals with it. l have used it from the beach and have caught many fish with it. as far as Penn reels go l own 5 others starting over 30 years ago l love them all but for just over 100 dollars this is the one.

Lightweight, easily casts longer distances than average spinner.The only reason I am giving it 4 stars because after using it four times the anti reverse locked up, warranty covered repair, hoping that it will not happen again in the near future.
