To start - Excellent road shoe. The material quality is very good (leather heel cup and breathable mesh/PU upper that wraps the foot). The shoe feels more like a top level soccer shoe than a cycling shoe with fit and form. The dual Boa system really makes the shoe. Extremely easy to use and adjust, even while riding. The dual adjustors and the ability to adjust in both directions make this shoe comfortable during all phases of the ride (especially on longer rides when your foot has a tendency to swell, a few clicks on the dials and your feet feel great again) As for stiffness, there is a little flex in the shoe when dancing on the pedals but it's extremely minimal and could actually be some heel slippage vice sole flex.

I am a serious amateur bike rider. I was concerned about buying a shoe that is in this shoes price range. I have had problems with hot foot and the ability to adjust my shoe as my foot swells on long rides. I have ridden with this shoe approximately 1000 miles. It is the most comfortable shoe I have ever owned for riding a bike. It's lower and upper lace adjustability has eliminated my hot foot issue. It also transfers energy to the pedals. I feel that the pedals are only an extension of my foot. I am considering buying another pair to have when my current ones wear out. These are simply great shoes.

While theee are very comfy they are not stiff st all and flex far too much to put out any real power like say Sidi wire air verbanese. I got them to wear on short recovery rides or to give my feet a break from stiff race shoes. They do that job well. I have worn them on century rides but they are not stiff enough to provide a solid base so feet fatigue is actually greater than my Sidi. They took a hell of a long time to dial in the cleats since there are no reference points or numbers on sole. They also tend to feel like heel will come out on serious sprints. I would never do a hard climb in these

These shoes are superb. They are incredibly stiff while maintaining light weight comfort. The dual adjusters are a nice feature and get the shoe snug. Pearl Izumi markets these shoes as a culmination of their very best cycling shoe technology. So far, I agree. As with all Pearl Izumi shoes, select a half size larger. I wear an 11.5 in most shoes and a 12 in these (with thin Darn Tough socks).

Severely selfish of me to delay sharing my thoughts on this product. This is actually my second pair. And both were purchased at a reduction (definitely worth full price but I couldn’t justify it). Snug fit, comfortable stiff support and stylish. What more could you ask for?

These shoes fits like a glove, are superlight and stiff. I previously picked up a pair of their xproject mtb shoes and was very pleased so I thought I'd try these out. Excellent but pricey.

The lightest and most efficient shoe I had worn. Great for a spinner who use high cadence and endurance rider looking for a good ventilation design.

I love these shoes. Comfortable and nice. I’m not crazy about bold bright colors but the orange adds a vibrant touch to all black cycling outfit.
