First off, in my opinion, the design of a nut with just two little holes to remove it is pretty poor engineering. However, many bikes come with cassettes with this design. So we do the best that we can. This Park Tool pin spanner does as well as anything that I have tried. If it is possible to get this nut off with just two small, shallow holes, this tool will do it. Just make sure to push the tool hard into the holes as you turn it. Good luck!

I had to purchase the SPA-2 in order to work on my Crank Brothers Kronolog seatpost. I was skeptical at first that it would hold up because the pins seemed thin, but I was wrong as the spanner is made of a very strong metal and shows no signs of wear. I can easily adjust and work on my seatpost thanks to this tool. Park Tool is known for making some excellent quality tools, and this is one of them. At under $10 it's very affordable as well.

So I broke my plastic adjustment tool that came with my Mavic wheels, so it was a bear to adjust my hubs for the perfect fit. Luckily someone hinted at using the SPA-2 and it works perfectly. Best of all, I no longer have to worry about the dinky plastic nubs on the Mavic tool sheering off. Typical Park Tool quality.. this sucker is solid!Oh yeah, excellent spanner as well.. ;)

Solid, I'm not using this for a bike or anything im a hydraulic tech and often need tiny spanners and this has a great solid design the adjustability of it is great and both the pins are nice and short which makes getting leverage really nice. Obviously they are super small so don't be an idiot whipe using them and you should be able to get the job done.

Simple tool. Works as expected. Park Tool quality, whatever that means to you... I personally like their price-to-quality ratio, if you will. Great for a home-mechanic trying to save money by rebuilding rather than simply purchasing new stuff. Buy this and a few different sizes of bearings and you'll be able to rebuild almost any freewheel cog set.

Did the job for removing part of the bottom bracket on my old bike which had rusted and seized in place. I was beginning to think I wasn't going to be able to shift it, but I bought this and it managed it.It wasn't without a fair bit of effort, but this tool stood up to the job, which is more than could be said for my previous pin spanner.

I first got the more expensive SPA-6 tool that is a more advanced heavy duty tool. Trouble is that when used with my tandem bottom bracket its pins cannot engage. The pins are too short to reach the holes because of interference with the bottom bracket ring. But this tool although basic gets the job done.

This tool is not strong enough to loosen a tight locknut. It is intended to hold a bearing cone in position while you tighten the locknut and it does that well enough. It is a bit fiddly to keep in place (it wants to pop out) but it fits a wide variety of different cones.

I had a creaking bottom bracket and with the 1 by crank set I have is self extracting (crankbolt cover with small pin holes) so needed this specialist tool. Loses a star due to cost even though well made and does the job perfectly this should only cost 5-6 quid

I bought the SPA-6 to minimise clutter. The SPA-6 adjusted well and did remove the bottom bracket to service the crank assembly. When I tried using it on my free wheel, the pins did not reach the interior assembly. The SPA-2 will reach with no problem.

I use this tool for adjusting wheel hub bearing play, may have other uses , but so far works on 2012 Easton havoc front wheel and found out works on 2013 mavic crossmax ST front and rear wheels. While the wheels are on the bike.

The item works fine - I'm not an expert, but it does the job.I'm in Australia and it took 3-4 weeks longer to arrive than they specified - a total of about 8 weeks!Very happy to have it, but the wait was frustrating!

Used it to open the cassette of the back wheel, then to close it. It slipped and got grinded on the lock ring, I thought it was going to chip, not at all. It still is intact and will give lots of years of service.

Did the job I bought it for (removing an old bottom bracket cup) so helped me keep building up my frame when I couldn't make it to the bike shop during self-isolation, might come in useful again one day!
