After reading several reviews online regarding headset press, I decided I wanted to try and save my money by doing the home mechanic approach with a rod, washers and nuts. The headset I was going to press in was a Chris King steelset, which probably is the toughest headset on the market. With the rod and washers, I was unable to get the headset to enter straight. It would missalign, and I would have to knock it out again with hard effort.I then decided to puchase this headset press, along with the Chris King headset press cups, and the whole process was a breeze. After doing it once, I learned that the headset will twist somewhat while pressing it in, so if you want to align the markings on it forward, you have to take this slight rotation into account when pressing in.I do not regret the purchase, since I also used it to press in a aluminum headset into a single speed I am building, and I will need it for a time trial bike I have waiting. I also found use for this press, pressing in a GXP adapter in my Hope bottom bracket.

Working on building my first bike, and as I want to do it all myself I was forced to buy one of these. It works exactly as described, and installing a headset only takes a minute or two with this tool. I would give it five stars, as it's worked perfectly, but I feel that Park is charging a premium beyond their normal premium. While the tool is solidly built I can't see how it's worth the price ($150), especially as other companies are selling their tools for about $75 or $80.

I restore old school BMX's, and this park tool is simply a fantastic product, it makes fitting headset and bottom bracket cups a breeze, they are so easy to install with this a child could do it. Yes it is expensive, but well worth paying if you are installing cups on an expensive restored frame. A great tool!

This is really a heavy en professional tool.It works amazing simple with almost no power need. The bearings glide slowly into their position (I used the tool for PF30 bearings in the bottom bracket). For home use it's probably a little bit overkill. If you think so too, buy the HHP-3.

the tool will last a life time 30 years life time of work cost week wages pay off in bike shop bills over few years. as strong as a horse or bull very power tool few second all it takes press a cup in a cheap tool with rod and washer last only once for press head cup

Yes... it's expensive. But simply using a large threaded rod, two nuts and a couple wrenches does NOT always do the job. I've tried it. If it were always that simple, this tool wouldn't be made. This tool never fails to press cups in straight and secure.

You can almost see why it costs so much - lots of machined steel. It clearly oozes quality. And with the quick-set end stop, this thing is really easy to use on bottom bearings and head sets. But it's still very pricey, hence 4 stars.

I used a homemade one for years, but finally broke down and got this. Totally worth it. A must for any DIY club tool box. If you only need it once or twice, it's still worth it. Use it and re-sell.

If you're serious about cycling and wrenching on bikes, you will eventually bit the bullet and get one of these. Headsets and press fit BB are no problem. Solid tool.

Expensive yes, it is massive, works Great.Loaned it to a friend, he was equally impressed. It works so easy, it's scarey.Only gave it 4 stars because of the price.

Took about 3 minutes to learn the product and install headset. Made me want to buy another bike so I could use it again since it was so rad vs. the DIY one I made.

Tools are one area where you almost always get what you pay for and this one is no exception. Heavy, with good fit and finish, and easy to use.

Don't waste your time on the others, this one gets it done real easy. I was using a homemade press before hand, I'll never go back.

This tool works very well for press-in bottom brackets and head cup installations. I would not trust another press besides Park's.
