Have been living with this case for a few months now and I'm impressed. The OtterBox bar for quality has always been high in my experience and this case is no exception. When I bought an iPhone X I started with Apple's official case, but had barely had it a year before the silicone finish began to chip and peel away, exposing the hard plastic. I also never felt that this case adequately protected my phone and £40 was very expensive, particularly since it lasted barely a year. Thankfully Apple gave me a refund and this time I went to OtterBox instead. The case snaps on to the phone quickly and easily and provides access to all speakers, microphones, buttons and ports.I haven't had an issue with plugging accessories into the lightning port – the case provides some additional space around the port (around 2mm to front and 4mm to back and sides) but wouldn't accommodate chunkier cables or accessories. I use the case with a Belkin wireless charging pad overnight and it works flawlessly through the case.I've seen no marks or signs or wear and tear so far, and the case is pleasant to hold and use. The back is a hard textured plastic and the front is a very hard silicon with barely any flex – nice and study. There's space around the camera on the back which makes the case suitable for both iPhone X and XS I believe. The silicon at the top or the front is also sheared away slightly to avoid interference with the camera and Face ID sensors in the notch.Overall, the case is of a high quality and fit-for-purpose, which is what I'd expect from OtterBox. If you're serious about protecting your iPhone (which you should be given its cost) I wouldn't hesitate to go for this case or this brand.

I have always had otterbox cases since the original iphone and they have always been very good. The previous one was for an iphone 5 and after about a year the rubber become a bit loose and the covers for the charging ports stayed open rather than clipping back in. With this current design for a 6s+ the ports are open and although this allows dust etc into the area, I have never had a problem with this and it is easily cleaned. My phone has been dropped many, many times by my children and I have never had one break. My wife also threw her phone very hard across the room and into a brick wall (temper temper!!) and the phone was fine. This case is thin enough to not add much to the phone dimensionally and when combined with a good screen protector it works well. All of the apple devices in our family have otterboxes and the only problem that we have ever had was when my son spilled a whole glass of water over his ipad at night and it sat soaking for hours, obviously not a fault of the otterbox! I have had my phone get wet in the rain and it has been fine. I find this particular model the best compromise between protection and thickness for my use but have had one of their more extreme covers for a work ipad with an integrated front screen protector and that thing has taken lots of abuse and has been covered in all sorts including sand and is still fine. Excellent cases and I would highly recommend

I normally would have a leather case covering the back and probably a flip case so the all the phone is covered. This time I had a Gold phone - it's more brass than gold but if you have a phone which is as nice looking as this is then you don't want to hide it away.I have used Otter Box cases before and they have always been high quality. The materials used in this case is as good as anything else they have produced. The sides and corners have more reinforcement than the back and the from of the phone is protected by a lip of the case being raised from the screen. Access to the buttons and port are easy apart from the sound on and off toggle above the volume keys - I find it difficult to turnon and off.The trouble is that it is quite ugly and the sleek phone feels like a lump in your hand. However you invest hell of a lot of money on the iPhone XS MAX Gold that you need to protect it and the only way to protect it but see the colour is something like the Otterbox. So you have a few options. If you are happy to have a grey or aluminium phone you can get other more attractive phone covers. If your phone is coloured (I looked at the new Huawei P30 Pro which is beautiful) then this probably the best on the market. You do have one final choice - don't put a cover on it - scratches on the back etc. but is it worth it?

This was purchased for my wife who has been within the Apple Eco system for well over a decade but the worst part about owning such expensive and somewhat fragile devices is the option on how you protect it!This usually falls into two camps. One where you get the freshest on point 'living my best life' case that looks the dogs but is about as protective as wrapping it in tin foil and casting a spell of protection while hoping for the best. Or you get a case that can withstand a nuclear blast but looks so repulsive that your phone spends the majority of its time shaded from public view. I have always loved OtterBox since using one of their cases for my work phone and this has spilled over into my personal space,my wife saw this on Amazon and gave it a try and has absolutely loved how stylish it looks, it doesn't add too much bulk to the phone. It makes one of the most droppable iPhone extremely grippy to hold and while we are on the subject you feel like you could throw this off a bridge and it would land unscathed. This case has been put through its paces being in possession of a busy and active mom of three and apart from a small scuff on the top of the case the phone still looks immaculate. You could do a lot worse than getting this but i would challenge you to do better with the price point!

This product is very good for its purpose, dropped many times and the phone looks fairly new. I have had this for a year now and it has finally worn down, I've now upgraded my phone and gone back to Otterbox to buy a new case. I have used this with a tempered glass screen protector and I'm very pleased with how it's performed after the amount of times I've dropped it.Reasons for marking it a star down:- Dust can get trapped in the back and it has worn down the back of my phone a bit, there are tiny chips in the gold. There's probably no way to prevent this if you're keeping it in your pocket but I would recommend taking off the case and cleaning it at least every month.- It discolours after about 5 months (see image),I bought this when it was much cheaper so this didn't bother me but if you want your phone looking nice you will need to replace it every 6 months or so.- Rubber that goes round the side of the phone has started detaching - this could have contributed to the dust getting in the phone.Other than these points it's a brilliant case and it's a shame it does discolour, that was the most disappointing thing but it has kept my phone almost good as new. It does have a bit of bulk to it but I liked this because it made the phone more secure in my hand.

Before buying this case, I had tried rubber cases; plastic cases and most recently used the Apple leather iPhone case, which had good grip and was thin. However, several drops (and screen replacements) later and I figured that the Apple case simply stopped the phone from getting scratched and did little to prevent drop-related damage. That prompted me to get this Otterbox case. It's a simple idea, that works well. The main case is tough polycarbonate, and the outer edges are soft rubber, so it combines strength with a good grip. I've dropped my phone once from a desk onto a tiled floor since getting it, and there was absolutely no damage to my phone or screen. Some reviewers have commented that the rubber and polycarbonate have come apart.I've had this case for around 2 months, and it's showing no signs of splitting so far.I've got an iPhone 6, so I still use wired headphones; the right angle headphone connector fits with no problem. I've also traveled recently and had to switch the SIM card out a couple of times; the case pops off easily, yet feels like a snug fit the rest of the time. The case does make the phone a little bulkier, but not to a point where it's a problem.I would definitely buy again.

I've just bought an iPhone Xs and was cautious about the case. There were a few other cases that I would have got but I couldn't be bothered waiting to see if it fitted and then if not have to return it, as I wanted to use the phone.I checked around online and I know that Otterbox is a very good brand. After some Googling, I found an article from Otterbox saying that their cases fit the iPhone Xs, which they do!The case is a good quality case, it's very sturdy and made out of quality materials. I'm used to the iPhone 6 and the weight of it so not sure whether it's the weight of the new iPhone and the case or whether it's mainly the case but it does seem a little heavy.Probably just me though. The case fits the phone just right, you can't tell if it was designed for an iPhone X or Xs so Otterbox have done a good job here.It can be difficult getting the phone in and out of the case, I would recommend pushing away from the buttons, at the bottom of the phone if you are trying to get the phone out of the case.Other than the weight, the ease of getting the phone out of the case, I really like it. I hope it will last a very long time! :)

I have an iPhone XS Max.Without a case it is just too slippy to handle. I wanted an easy to find, very visible case ( bright colour -yellow) and one that was very sure to grip- ie not slippy. It also must offer a degree of protection, this Otterbox is very substantial but all the buttons operate with ease. However, the case must also be smooth enough to slip into a pocket with ease but not too slippy to fall out of my hands. I usually have to apply sandpaper to the case edges for my own satisfaction but not so with The OTTERBOX.I do have large hands and this case does add more to the phones bulk than my previous Spigen case. However,l find it easier to use because it fits my hands better.I have several cases that just ‘didn’t cut the mustard’ - from apple to unknown brands. This beats the lot. This case does support both my Mophie and Elephas wireless chargers and despite its depth, all my various makes of lightning chargers fit easily. In a nutshell-Best case to grip and for slipping into the pocket, that I have had. This review is by me, RICHARD PHILLIPS and I don’t take kindly to sellers bribing me to say something else.

At my work we supply all of our mobile technical staff with an iPhone 6s and the Otterbox Symmetry cover. These are rigged and protect working phones to the extent that we can reallocated them as workers move on.I decided to upgrade my phone and being very much an android person I pulled the trigger on the new Huawei P30. Now this does come with a case in the retail pack and I added an Apiker tempered glass screen protector.Only two weeks in and my new P30 slipped out of m pocket as I was leavin my car and it hit a concrete floor, shattering the apiker protector. so I ordered this Otterbox and fitted a new Apiker. The Otterbox fits the P30 very neatly and allows me to use all the controls, the cut outs for headphones and charge lead are spot on and the whole thing is very solid and with a raised rim should protect the screen much better. Easy to grip and adds a solid feel. The back is completely flat and so when placed down the phone does not rock about as with the other case that I was considering. It is a lot of cash for a plastic cover, but compared with the cost of a new phone it is an easy investment.

Have used this case for over a year now. Despite being treated appallingly, it is only showing light signs of use.I have dropped my phone (iPhone 7) from reasonably heights countless times with no damage at all.You need to be firm when putting the phone in the case, and it tends to be one you would leave on all the time, since the tough rubber means it isn't the quickest to remove. However this means the phone does not move at all within the case and is therefore well protected. The case is hard wearing but easy to slip into a pocket, unlike some rubber cases. It is thinner than others I have used but clearly works effectively. It is comfortable to hold and the slightly raised front protects the screen when dropped/placed face down.It does not block the speakers on the iPhone 7 and there are no issues accessing the charging port. The volume and sleep/wake buttons remain responsive and the loud/vibrate switch is easily accessible. There's a reason these cases have such a good reputation. Definitely worth the money!

Having purchased Otterbox Commuter series cases for my previous two iPhones, I was disappointed to learn that this range is no longer available in the UK although is obtainable through Amazon.com in the US. Symmetry series does preserve the slim contours of the iPhone Xs Max and offers good protection if dropped but lacks the rubber plugs for the bottom edge sockets that Commuter has, although of course there is no headphone socket to protect now so we are only lacking the lightning socket rubber plug in this case. Having said that, this case in black is very smart (with no Apple logo hole in the back, unlike the Commuter series) and offers the essential protection you need without making it bulky which the Defender series does,as Defender is designed for more heavy-duty requirements. The main difference is that whereas the Commuter series case is supplied in two parts, the Symmetry case is supplied in just the one piece and is therefore simpler to fit. I would always recommend Otterbox cases.

Have used otter box for last three iPhones found then to be really sturdy, *touch wood* never cracked a screen with all past cases and once even threw one of the past iPhones at the wall and no cracks.Bought the transparent glitter size X for the XS and it fits well. Just bought the phone last week and with a toddler it’s already been dropped loads and even on tiled flooring and it’s been fine. When on, the case does leave a 2mm gap around the back camera but that doesn’t really bother me.*update*August 2019After 8 months the case has protected the phone well, was given a remanufactured iPhone as one of the cameras stopped working but luckily there was no damage seen on the phone so it was under warranty (thanks to this case)toddler threw and cracked the corner of the case off so decided to buy another one.In the pic you can see the old case does change colour but that’s not an issue as I value protection from the case being more important

Have always bought otterbox cases for all my families phones and they were brilliant good quality and hard wearing, until this one. I had read the reviews on discolouring, but really liked the idea that I could show off my lovely new rose gold phone without sacrificing protection, and the stardust model gave it all the more glitz. I secretly hoped that with the yellowing being such a big issue both here and on the otterbox website itself, that they would have addressed the problem and used an alternative material. But after 4 months mine too went a horrid yellow colour like it had been in a room full of smokers for 10 years. Real shame. It also scratched really easily on the reverse, someone we had not experienced on other otterbox cases. Just bought the Symmetry Skinney Dip which is lovely but doesn’t quite match the colour of my phone but close enough. So we shall see how we get on with this one.

I bought this product to go with my new iPhone XS three months ago.It offers good protection and I am happy with the cutouts- they are perfect! Doesn’t interfere with the cameras or anything, which is always a bonus.I’ve dropped my phone a few times and it’s always survived without any damage. It’s not too difficult to put on or take off either (which I assume is good). It came with a box and information which I’ve kept just incase.I would easily rate this product 5 stars if I didn’t have one problem with it.I’ve only had it for 3 months and the case is slowly turning white on the curves on the back. Whilst I have dropped it, I haven’t dropped it that much, and I don’t just chuck my phone in my bag.So I am just a little concerned about how it’s lost it’s colour.Nothing more than the looks of the case though (or at least I hope!).

This was crystal clear back as promised, and though the sides are opaque, it is not very and you can still see your fingers behind them. The button covers work fine too.I bought some screen covers from a different company which were guaranteed to not interfere with care but see the reason is they leave part of screen uncovered, so this is something to bear in mind.I think I will chance it and leave it as is and just hope the generous raised edge means if dropped vthwt no chance of the very teeny bit of unprotected screen gets a hit.All in all a beautiful pixel 3xl back and edge protector which as want cheap hopefully will last well and not yellow or crack.I shall add comments if it does have any issues but as only had this less than a week too early now to comment on longevity or durability.
