This playset is designed for the Equestria Girls Mini dolls. My daughter has quite a few of these, but, if your child doesn’t have any, then be aware that this set comes with just one figure – however, this is an exclusive doll (I have never seen this before and believe it is unique to this set) of Juniper Montage. Juniper Montage featured in the half hour specials, Movie Magic and Mirror Magic, and it is lovely to have her included here. She is fully poseable, has a removable apron, glasses and a cute hat, with move reel detailing.The theatre itself has a removable cardboard screen – this acts as a holder for you to insert your tablet, so you can actually play movies, which is really fun.Obviously, though, children can just leave in the cardboard and pretend play too. The screen has a ticket booth attached, plus there are three movie seats, along with cup holders. In fact, this set has lots of really fun little extras to help make it more special to go to the movies. There is a popcorn machine which ‘pops,’ plus three tubs of popcorn. Should your dolls get hungry, there are also lots of snacks – pretzels, chocolate, ice cream, lollipops, drinks and candies. Also, there is a cash register, tickets and even 3-D glasses.This is a great set for Equestria Girls fans. The little mini dolls are lots of fun and, although it is a shame that only one figure is included, at least it is an unusual one. I like the fact that there are so many different little extra accessories and I am also appreciative (as a parent) that this is actually so easy to use. Just pop your tablet into the slot and your child can put on the video of their choice – there is nothing to download, or link or set up. There are lots of small pieces, so just be careful that you don’t lose them afterwards. If there was somewhere to stash the small pieces, and/or another figure, this would have been five stars. As it is, this is a very good four stars and is really well designed.

I think this is one of the best sets I've even seen. I say this because it has all the elements little girls love, A cool doll (one I've not seen before) and the set up for a really cool cinema complete with popcorn machine (with moving popcorn) as well as seats for other mini dolls in the collection (not included) and tons of accessories including a cash register, popcorn containers with popcorn, ice creams, drinks etc. My neice shared the popcorn with her ponies and took them all to watch the movies. The screen is brought to life by popping a tablet or ipad into the screen holder for a real movie viewing!There is only one doll included, and this is Juniper Montage. Other dolls are available to add to the collection,but my niece doesn't have these so brought her ponies to the movies, and played My Little Pony from Youtube, and I heard her telling her ponies it was their holiday movie! Lol.Juniper can be posed, and you can take off her specs, and apron. She's a very attractive doll with blue hair and a movie reel on her head.The theatre is well made, as is the booth, popcorn machine and chairs. In terms of play and imagination there is lots of scope with this, including playing educational videos on the tablets and your child learning while watching with Juniper Montage and her friends and Ponies too.I live this very much. Currently priced at £29.99 it quite good value when compared with other playsets. Chairs can be used with most mini dolls with jointed knees and legs.She is fully poseable, has a removable apron, glasses and a cute hat, with move reel detailing.

When reviewing this had to remember its not aimed at grumpy middle aged people but at a much younger age range, so than my personal view of 'you dont get much for your £36 do you? an empty place to put your tablet, a doll, some chairs and some random bits of plastic' i have to go with my 6 year old My little Pony obsessed nephews views!His first thought was WOW (loudly exclaimed). He poked the popcorn machine through the hole in the front of the box, then tried to rip the packaging open. Then he got stressed and handed it back to me to finish getting the bits out (as per usual - packaging on kids toys is definitely kid proof!).What surprised me is how much he loved all the cinema related bits,the pretzels, popcorn, tickets, drinks and other snacks. He loved arranging them all on the display shelf. He then removed everything he could from the (exclusive) doll (no idea why, he always does this though, we have dolls with lower arms missing when he worked out they came off!!)He asked me to make his tablet work in the screen area, which in spite of my luddite leanings i managed, then we sat down to watch My little pony (what else) whilst he served me over and over again with various snacks. He then went and found his old Bing Bunny smoothie blender thing and made me pretend smoothies too.I was quietly impressed that something that looked so unpromising at the start seemed to have inspired so much 'small world' play. Highly recommended to anyone who loves My Little Pony, plenty of options for extended play.

Not since the ‘Island of Dr Moreau’ has anyone tried to blend humans with animals, but My Little Pony stepped over this genetic line some time ago with their Equestria Girls range. These dolls look to be essential human in form, but do have some of the look of their pony counterparts with larger eyes and long hair. Fans of the toys will know this already and he happy to play with these hybrids and that brings up to this particular toy, the ‘Minis Movie Theatre’.The set is an impressive one made out of quality moulded plastic. You get one doll, a cinema screen, sales booth, popcorn machine, seats and confectionary. All you could want for a day out at the movies,you could even set the prices sky high to give you that feeling of realism. With all the little elements it does spark the imagination. Juniper Montage is posable so you can sit her in one of the cinema seats and feed her snacks as she watches a film.And you can watch a real film. The screen has an inset, but remove this and you can add your tablet. Put a TV show or film on this and you have a to scale movie theatre. This is a great idea, but does mean to get the most of this to a tablet is advised. The inset shows a group of the Equestria Girls having fun, but it is not the same experience as watching a film. Also, as you only get one doll this is a set for collectors of them as it would be more fun to have three other girls visiting Juniper and her serving them as an usherette.

The MY LITTLE PONY Equestria Girls Minis Movie Theatre Playset arrives in a nice presentation box where you can view the set and the bits and pieces that comprise of this toy. There is a lot of detail and components that make up the whole set which over time children will get to pick up on the finer detail that they can engage with. The set comes with one figure that is unique to this set in the universe of Equestria Girls Mini dolls. There large screen on this playset can be removed and if you have a suitable tablet this can be used to run a video on the tablet as a substitute for the screen. Our grand-daughter has her own table which she runs whilst watching the movie with the Equestria Girls Mini dolls,it’s a good social interactive experience that they all participate in. There are plenty of snacks and drinks to have whilst the picture is running, with what is included in the set there is a wealth of small details to add variance whilst playing.I thought the construction of the playset was of very good quality, well thought through and overall of a very good design. If well looked after and treated with respect this will be around for some time. For the asking price I would consider this as relatively good value for money for what you potentially get.

My daughter is a huge My Little Pony fan and this is on her christmas list to Santa.Personally I don't have a lot of faith in the quality of some of the Hasbro toys. Having owned one of the expensive castles which was terrible quality.Upon saying that this seems to be good quality. There isn't a lot to it in fairness so the quality really isn't an issue.The Equestria girls is another universe of the MLP where they are the exact same characters but "people" instead of ponies.My daughter loves all 4 of the films and has a very large collection of both the "people" dolls and ponies dolls.The doll that the set comes with is apparently limited and comes in this set only. I am unsure who this character is though.I consider myself lucky enough to remember the main ones names, I couldn't possibly begin with the other secondary characters.The main thing is my daughter will absolutely love this set. I think that any little girl/boy who love both the Equestria girls and ponies will find this a great addition to their toy box :)Added bonus that their Ipad/tablets can be included into playtime, my daughter will be amazed to know that detail.

This is a great play set that my daughter has absolutely loved. It is based on the My Little Pony Equestria Girls cartoon and comes with the character Juniper Montage. The set only comes with one mini Equestria Girl but does come with a lot of extras, like drinks, sweets etc for the cinema. There is also a popcorn machine that children can press to make the popcorn flip and it comes with cinema seats. There is a toy cinema screen which is very clever as it is made to fit an iPad or other tablet into. The idea is obviously that the children have a film/cartoon playing on the iPad and the dolls can then be watching a film. The downside of this is that as soon as you put an iPad in there with something playing on it,the child's attention turns straight to the iPad and they stop playing. I personally think this stops the children's creative imagination from developing. This is a great play set but only when used without a iPad or tablet.

This My Little Pony playset features a cinema complete with seats, a popcorn stand (you can press a button to pop the corn), box office and food cart (complete with some model foods). You can slot your tablet into the cinema screen so that it looks like you are really playing a movie (I do not think this set would be particularly interesting if you don't have a tablet or your tablet is not the right size to work with the set). The set is tacky and the colours are lurid which means it will appeal to plenty of little girls! The set also comes with an exclusive doll called Juniper Montage who looks like a sort of nerdy anime usherette and is actually pretty cute. I think this set will absolutely appeal to My Little Pony fans.I feel it is slightly overpriced as some parts of it don't feel terribly sturdy (I imagine the button on the popcorn machine will break quite easily), but I guess the price is fairly standard for a branded toy.

My niece loves this. We haven't used with an ipad but instead she loves drawing her own backdrops on cardboard and slotting that in (great to get them creative!). Great little set with lots of bits, including popcorn in boxes, drinks, sweets etc. It only comes with one doll (Juniper Montage) so you will have to buy other dolls if you want more than one. The 3D glasses only fit on certain dolls (definitely Pinkie Pie, and I think Juniper as well but not the other dolls that we have). My niece loves ballet and likes to act out shows with the dolls like it is a theatre rather than a cinema. So cute.

This is a cute set. It's made from good quality plastic and it works. The popcorn pops in the machine and the chairs fold etc. It's a clever idea to have the screen also be able to house your tablet and play a real show. Lots of accessories which make a big difference to the success of small world play toys imho. Generally good then but I do think, at this rrp, it would be nice if there were at least two figures, as you really need viewers in a cinema. A bit annoying to have to get the dolls separately if you want to give a 'complete' gift.If your kid loves the MLP world this is a winner.

This was a huge success with the seven and ten year old girls. I was worried that it looked a bit tacky but they were literally jumping uo and down with excitement as they are MLP fans. I like the idea of this encouraging imaginative play and it's a fun idea to be able to used a tablet to play a real movies for the toys. as other reviewers have said the downside to this is that there is only one figure provided with this set - although she is exclusive to this set but you need at least one more figure in order to have any interaction.

A super play set for a little girl who loves my little pony. What I can't quite grasp is they are dolls not the points my daughter's loved. However this is a movie theatre with all the trimmings, popcorn maker, drink cups and all other little pieces that relate to a movie theatre. With the set you get just one doll but more are available in singles and doubles for a bit extra separately.

Bought for a 7 year old's birthday. She's delighted of course, I personally feel the toy is a little over priced but that is why you expect to pay for this kind of thing and as it was a birthday present which has made my daughter very happy then why not.

My daughter loves this equestrian girls set and has endlessly played with it, so from a child's point of view it gets top marks however I think it is totally over priced for what's actually in the box and think £20-25 would be a more fitting price.

Exactly as described, was a gift for my Niece, she loved it was already aware of the issues with the dolls legs lols, she's only 6. But it is what it is, her and her brother love playing with it.
