Twenty years ago, I remember my dad using a product which was very similar to these Rexel Multifiles, for storing invoices and other paperwork for his business. However, with the massive increase in the use of computers, I would have thought that the demand for products such as this must have massively reduced - certainly, my dad no longer uses filing cabinets and the majority of his records are now stored electronically. Having said that, whether there is or isn't demand for this product is somewhat irrelevant, given that this is a review of the Multifile itself and not of the market which it is aimed at.This particular product is a box of 20 Multifiles, with the dimensions being 36.0cm (width)by 22.0cm (height). Based on my recollection of these files, this is the standard dimension of such files, with paper being able to be stored in landscape format, rather than portrait. However, several other reviewers of similar sized files have commented that it doesn't fit in their filing cabinets so perhaps more modern filing cabinets are narrower and so you should check that the width of the files is not less (or more) than the width of your filing cabinet. The capacity of this particular product is also pretty decent and it is claimed that each file can store up to 150 pages (not 300 per the product description). I suspect that this claim might be slightly optimistic, particularly if using paper which is 80g/sm or higher however, they will easily store 100 pages. One other thing I have noticed is that some multifiles seem to be made of recycled cardboard and are much softer and thinner than Rexel Crystalfiles however, that doesn't seem to be the case with these multifiles - they are as strong as any other Rexel file which I have reviewed.Included with each product is a set of plastic tabs and paper inserts for clearly identifying the contents of each file. The plastic tabs attach to the horizontal (top edge) side of the file, rather than the vertical side, making it slightly easier to scan your eye over each tab when skimming for the appropriate file. The final aspect which I would comment on is probably the one which has the most relevance for the majority of people and that is the price. The RRP of this product is stated as being £21.83, which works out at just over £1 per file. I appreciate that Amazon are currently selling the files at a significant discount but even so, this is targeted at the much more budget end of the market. However, the quality is certainly significantly reduced when compared to Crystalfiles and so I guess that is the trade off with the price.

I’ve tried some of Rexel’s more premium equivalents for these files already- the polypropylene ones and the manila ones- which currently cost more than twice as much per file as these ones, and which I’ve praised for their durability and good design. With these, to an extent you get what you pay for. They are cheaper for a reason, made out of much thinner card which will not take either the same weight or the same amount of duress as their more expensive alternatives. They are the ‘budget’ or ‘short-term’ option by comparison- but that’s not to say that they’re poor quality, because they’re not, and for light domestic filing of bills and wills and similar paperwork, they are easily good enough. And they’re still well designed, and sturdy enough in the metal parts, and the ability to easily arrange and move the labels is still hard to fault. The colour selection, while being a little bit ‘primary school’ for sure, also helps in terms of finding what you’re after quickly and helping you avoid sticking things in the wrong places. It seems rather too obvious to say “not as good as the ones that are much more expensive”, as you wouldn’t expect anything else, but for fairly light home use- and for bringing a flash of cheery colour to the dull filing in your dull filing cabinet- these certainly do the job.

I'm not sure of the value of the bright colours here...By their definition, these things hang in a drawer obscuring the colour for the most part. Furthermore, there's branding and product info scrawled all over them.Strangely, they are not equal numbers of each colour; I received 6 green and blue but just 4 red and yellow. Odd.They fit well in filing cabinets and feel robust. The supplied clips are actually easy to attach, slide along and detach.Plus, the supplied card title inserts are also easy to fit and stay in place. There's a separate sheet of even more paper labels which are more flimsy but still fit.I've had so much trouble with other clips that this is the standout aspect for me.So I award all stars but if a similar product was cheaper in a plain colour,l'd go for that.

I've been battling against an old collection of suspension in my office drawer for ages. You know the sort - the metal has become twisted and they are starting to tear. So, what better than a nice colourful new set. The bright colours are cheerful, although I won't see them most of the time. The cardboard feels fairly substantial - the packaging says that each file can take up to 150 sheets which I'm slightly sceptical about as paper is quite heavy, but so far so good. The metal pieces at the top are certainly better than plastic. The set comes with plastic tab and label inserts which can be attached at any point along the metal top piece so you can easily find what you are looking for. So,no excuses now, I've actually got to do my filing!

This box of 20 suspension files are the quality that you expect from one of the most dependable names in the field. They come with 20 crystal tags and 20 labels to insert in them, so there is everything you need to get on with your filing.Rather than the traditional green these comes in 4 mixed colours - yellow, blue, red and pale green, so that you can have some variety in your filing cabinet. They are individually robust and the metal edges at the top slide easily through a filing cabinet. They are foolscap width, so filing A4 documents is a breeze with room to spare. These are really well mad and will last for years given normal use,I am particularly pleased with this pack and am convinced they are a good buy.

I thin kthat the Rexel stuff is like, the best stuff you can buy when it comes to creating an awesome suspension file setup. These are designed for the top down style loaders but you can use in any system (including lateral). The only thing I would say - these are the paper ones. Or 'Manilla'.For a little bit more money you can purchase the plastic ones which well, are going to last you a lifetime. So if you are buying for heavy-duty use then don't get these, spend the money and get the ones that are for heavy-duty use.Other than that you can expect the same quality as any Rexel product :)!

These are your standard foolscap width files In a nice mix of colours. They’ll fit most filing cabinets but just be careful you don’t have one of the smaller narrower filing cabinets as you’ll need A4 sized instead. You get the plastic tabs and perforated card labels - everything you need (assuming you have the filing cabinet, drawer or trolly required). The card is fine to hold papers but if you’re putting anything more substantial in then you might find they start to tear after a while. But for papers it’s idea plus the price is quite reasonable.

Rexel is a respected brand and these suspension files are well made. They come with the plastic tabs and inserts and are fine for general use. The only thing I am not 100% happy with is that they are not as thick and strong as other brands I've bought in the past, so it is essential not to overload these. They come in a variety of bright colours - probably more suited to home-office use than the workplace where personally I would prefer a heavy-duty product.

Measuring 387 x 240 this multicoloured set of suspension files are just what I needed to replace the old and tatty suspension files in my home cabinet. They come complete with clip-on identification tags and inserts (plus a sheet of spares) and the different colours files make it easy to organise into different types of filing. My previous ones lasted nearly twenty years, these feel a bit more flimsy but even if they last half as long I'll be happy

Six bright blue, six light green, four orange/red, four yellow. The right number of Crystalfile transparent tabs and perforated card inserts - all add up to a holly filing cabinet and instant recognition of specific files, by colour.Foolscap size, plain interiors, v base, these suspension file holders run smoothly along the rails and are fairly robust.Rexel are doing their best to make the duller of jobs more fun!

Well priced brightly coloured suspension files. Great if you want to access files easily. The bright colours will make this possible for you to have a colour coded stream in conjunction with the tabs provided. .They are able to accommodate 150 sheets of paper. In my experience these files are not as sturdy as some of the Rexel products, but as long as they are not over filled they are ok for light filing.

I invested in a filing cabinet recently and bought these hanging files to organise all my paperwork. name tags. If you require very thick, strong files, then I would suggest you go for something else. However, for the price I paid, and for what I wanted to use them for, they are perfectly adequate. They hold a reasonable amount of paper as they have a sort of gusset which I like.
