I have owned one of these for around ten years I think and still use it now as my 'go to' despite all the different devices and fashions since. (I love my gadgets and camping bits and like to chop change and experiment and own far more than I need, but I cannot justify other pots because of this)It is still in perfect condition, no dents etc however it is discoloured through use particularly on open fires.Unlike other reviews I have read here I use mine with a meths stove and wind shield.Depending on your budget you can get the Evernew DX Stand and Meths burner which are also titanium or you can make a stove from an pepsi can.It all fits inside the kettle. burner, trivet (if you use one)folding wind shield, folding spork, some esbit block (in a bag to prevent food contamination) tinder card, a sponge to clean and stop rattles. Fire stick, honestly you can fit so much inside one of these allowing you to have more than one option of cooking.I have used this on the camp fire coals and the plastic on the lid handle has still not melted.Size wise it is ideal for boil in the bag camping meals (two at once fit in) or I have cooked veg/stews etc in it (although stir alot or it welds to the sides/bottom if left to its own devices).I have also used this at work. Taking in Cous Cous and other instant type of meals, simply adding water from the kettle as its just the right size and so light. (got a few strange looks from other staff but saved a fortune compared to the canteen)Being shorter and wider brings more balance on canister stoves or if you use the Evernew DX stand. I have used this pot on all three types of stove, canister, alcohol and mixed pressurised liquid stoves (MSR Dragon fly type) I believe the short stout shape is better than the tall slim design of other pots. You do need to use your common sense, obviously when its over fire it gets hot, so a tent peg/knife is handy to get the handles in position. The trick of using foil lined bubble wrap to make a pouch for the kettle works brilliantly allowing you to cook, drop the kettle straight into the pouch then sit with it on your lap and eat in comfort works an absolute treat. (a quick google will explain this better than my brief words)In transit/storage I use the elastics that came around an old roll mat which fits as if custom made for the job. One vertically to hold the lid and contents in place the other horizontally holds the handles down, the foil heat/wind shield in place. The whole cook set is then totally self contained in one package only a few millimetre larger than the given dimensions.Great bit of kit. £40 is a good price with free delivery. If it creeps up check google as this is a very common item and there is a lot of competition amongst camping shops.

I own the MSR Stainless Steel 1.1L pot that many of us are familiar with but with the 50's comes the need for a lighter backpack. I've cut weight for water purification and now cooking. This started with the triangular shaped Esbit stove and heating cubes. The MSR 1.1L material takes away too much heat to be feasible with a reasonable number of cubes. The Primus Titech 600ml did the job but the material coating the handles torched in just a handful of boils and has a loose lid. The MSR Titan Kettle has a tight lid, I was able to hold the handles after two cups of water came to a rolling boil (1.5 cubes needed), and it has a natural finish (no topcoat as far as my eyes could detect). The pot label can be slowly pulled off in one piece. There is no residue but appears to be a shadow which may come off in washings but it's for backpacking and makes no difference to me. I'd buy this pot again. The extra money was worth it over the Primus Titech. The MSR is larger and the right size to put the standard green plastic type of cup into. There is no bag with the pot.

How can you not love this kettle/mug ??Perfect for a solotraveller - you need about 400 ml of boiling water to a good big cup of tea/coffee - and about 350 - 400 ml boiling water to most freeze dried food portions for a single traveller .And more than acceptable for 2 persons - 2 cups ready in the morning in one kettle boil - 2 portions of freeze dried food ready in one pot boil .. :)Extra pros : it has a larger bottom area towards the stove - increasing heat transfer to the pot and its content = faster boil !! Super compact and light on weight !! Possible to erect the handle on the lid by lifting it up to vertical ,and yank it back into the indentation/notch of the foundation holding the handle !!As a trekker in Scandinavia I might in principle love to have an extra handle on the top of the kettle/mug to hang it above a bonfire - but it is so small , that it is better to place it in the outer areas of the bonfire ...Please forgive me for any spelling errors - I am Danish ....

This is a great one-pot-does-it-all kettle. It's sized so it can be a large mug or small pot. A little too small if you're thinking this pot is for one-person, one-pot system. You'll have to be a real minimalist. I used it as part of two-person, 3 pot/bowl system. Gives great versatility.Super lightweight as expected with titanium pots. Lid fits very snug to the pot. Won't fall off. If anything, you have to yank pretty hard to take it off. The handles will get hot if the pot is placed on a stove/open flame, but what can you do? I just used gloves. It's a little pricey, but you get what you pay for. High quality, durability, lightweight. Overall, I love this kettle. It'll be part of my cookware for years to come.If you can afford it, get it.

One of the best little ultralight pots you can get. Very well-made and durable. I have used mine for well over 1000 meals (lots of backpacking, car camping, and also home use) and it is still going strong. I've used it on propane stoves, electric stoves, and on open campfires. It can crush/bend if loaded from side to side, but it can be bend back pretty easily. Note that after accidentally crushing it once, I bent it back into shape - if still works great, the lid fit is slightly tighter now, but still reasonable. It's nice that there is no coating (just solid titanium). Food has been burnt on and scrubbed with metal utensils, rocks, sticks, sand, etc. more times than I can count, with no damage.

Exactly the right size for 100g Coleman screw thread canister, a large plastic mug (with handle cut off so it fits inside the pot with a canister in it) and a KOVEA Titanium stove, plus windshield and heat reflector and a few 3in1 coffees, or other saches. Very good brew kit, and although titanium is generally not great for cooking, with a low flame from a decent stove you can get away with heating beans, making rice, pasta and noodles and a bunch of other stuff. And I'm still finding out things to do with it. Use it on a fire as well (but that takes a lot more practice for cooking). Highly recommended.

This thing does it all and does it well. It's super lightweight. You can slide the handle on top to lock it into place. The lid is secure. It does have three somewhat hard to see scores for measurement(each one being 1 cup). The kettle design is great for pouring hot water without spilling it. I was able to nest an 8 oz canister wrapped in paper towel in it just fine so I'm not sure why some other people are having issues with that. Maybe the canister brand or something.(I used Snowpeaks). A bit expensive but well worth it.

I love this kettle. It is super light and it works. To keep the weight down the material is thin so it is possible to bend it out of shape but this is the trade off for weight savings. The lid is quite sturdy so I suggest when traveling with the kettle to keep the lid in place to give the unit strength, or use the kettle as a bottom for a large water bottle. The side handles are pretty stiff which is a good thing as it limits rattle, the lid handle will need to be secured to keep it from making noise.

The Titan Kettle is nearly perfect. It's lightweight, packs very nicely, and is sized to hold enough water for two meals or one meal and a cup of coffee. I was also able to pack my Simmerlite stove inside the kettle which was very convenient. The lid fits snug and the fold-away handles worked just fine (although, the handles will get hot depending on how you position the kettle and/or the flame intensity). My only wish for improvement would be volume indicators on the inside of the kettle.

Very light and strong. Lid handle can be locked upright. Can fit an MSR microrocket and 100g canister stove inside with room to spare. Fits a 230g gas canister just. Lid fit is snug which is good. Expensive but a quality product that will probably outlive me so I am happy to recommend it. Perfect size for water-only hiking meals or making coffee/tea for 2 or 3. Another great MSR product especially for those weight conscious hikers out there. You know you want it.

The original review.i wrote for this pot was not correct! I had written about the Evernew pasta pot by mistake! This pot was purchased as a gift for my brother who I backpack with from time to time. This is a perfectly sized little pot. We used it last weekend to boil all the water for our morning coffee during a camping trip to Michigan. It should be rated at 5 stars, not 4 stars. Very light weight, the lid fits snugly, and plenty of room inside to store things!

If you don't mind the price then this is the kettle you should buy!The size & weight are good. You can boil up enough water for 2 cups of coffee/tea/whatever in this. You can cook up pasta or other food items that need boiling water.I have a caldera cone with spirit stove that is designed to work with this kettle - together they work well and I can boil 2 cups of water using 1oz of alcohol. That's pretty efficient.

I participate in high adventure backpacking as a 50'ish Boy Scout leader, not in the best of shape. Every ounce counts. This allowed me to drop about 50% of the weight of a stainless steel pot. (I do not feel comfortable using aluminum for health reasons as well as its ease of crushing). The only thing it needs is some sort of volume measurement inside the pot, so I don't need to use a cup measure.

I was a huge fan of the GSI minimalist pot but due to a change of cooker I needed something with a wider base. I decided after a lot of research to go for the MSR and I have not been disappointed. It is a fantastic piece of kit and I won't go on a camping trip without it. Very practical and the easy poring lid makes it perfect for boiling water.

Perfect size for top of micro rocket. Serves two mugs or two rehydrate-in-the-bag meals. Boiled within 3 minutes. Handles not too hot to touch when I used it. Does what it should at very low weight. I fitted my 250 gas canister inside it with a hanky round - stops any wear and tear and can be used for handle if hot. Very pleased.
