Everyone knows that the moment a child has reached the magical age of reason and development the child seeks out and welcomes toys that they can pull-along and dismantle and put back together again. This is the moment when your child is absorbing informtion at the fastest rate - and so it is the moment to teach your child to recognise the letters of the alphabet and learn the the ten digits they will learn to use when the time comes to learn arithmatic. As the child tips out the sturdy wooden bricks you can play many learning games such as spell a word or put the bricks back into the cart in many many challenging ways that quickly teach numeracy and letter ordering in a fun way that never bores your child.Everything about this wonderful wonderous toy is beautifully crafted from wood.It is not too heavy for a child to tow or lift, and the bricks are perfectly sized for small hands and painted in bright iresistable colours that readily attract children of all agesm genders, and races to them. The possibilities are endless and this toy is a wonder to behold. Five stars.

I remember these blocks from when i was little. They origionally belonged too my cousins, who used them regularly. They were then passed down to my 3 older brothers and then too me, by that point the cart had been lost somewhere, i think in the garden. They're smaller than most building blocks, so they were perfect for taking on holiday an days to the beach etc. For many years they servered as an on-hand toy for visiting little ones, and are now back with one of my cousins, for her little boy, and at almost 30years old, they're still in good condition!

These blocks are a lovely reminder of my past. I bought them for a photo shoot and I'm so pleased with them. Everyone seems to be going on about the size of them. They measure 3 cm X 3cm X 3cm, okay yes they are smaller than the original 60's blocks. But they're a good quality product. They're very tactile, and lovely to look at. Much better than the plastic Early Learning Centre equivalent.I'm sure any small child would love to play with them. However NOT my set ha ha ha ha

This cart is quite small, but you can easily make out the shapes, letters and numbers on each block.Although I bought this product through Amazon it was bought from another company (Molibob Toys); I also bought another M&D product from them at the same time, but they charged me two lots of postage (at around £5.00 each time) even though they came together in the same package, so I would avoid this company and look for another.

The only problem I could find with these were they were marked for 3 and over. I couldn't see that mentioned on description on website. My grandson has just turned 1 so he has limited play with them meantime unless he is closely guarded as he puts everything in his mouth and as they are lightweight he could bite a bit off. He loves playing with the cart and pushes it along when he is crawling!

After reading some of the reviews on here I was a little doubtful about the size of this toy. On arrival I was pleasantly surprised, sure it is not the same size as a traditional wooden block trolley, however it is a perfectly acceptable size for young children. I can see this toy being a feature in my babys toy box for many years to come!

Multi-functional and great fun. Children can stack the blocks, learn colours, alphabet, spelling, numbers and organisational skills. They are well made and a nice size for small hands. All the blocks have either letters or numbers on both sides as well as pictures stamped onto the other faces of the cubes. Glad I bought these.

just brilliant. I bought this for my son who is just 1 year old although it might be a bit too early for him to learn abc/123 he could still use it to learn how to stack, pulling the cart and arranging the blocks etc. Would think this is a toy of many educational use. Definitely recommend it.

My little girl loves this toy . She has hours of fun building the blocks up and knocking them down again and tell us wat is on the blocks and the colours of them!!! It is a fab size as well as it is small enough to take out with us and it is easy to store!!!!

Bought as a Christmas present for 1 year old. I was dissatisfied when I opened as it is smaller than I thought. I was expecting the large blocks as it said classic My daughter pointed out that it was easier for them to hold. Still not convinced.

Little one loves this, I hate it because you are left standing and tripping over 30 blocks all over the floor, and does he put them away, nooooooooo! Also it's a good learning tool. He knows all the pictures on the blocks and its a lot of fun.

Fantastic toy for a toddler, though the bricks are smaller than I thought they'd be and we lost one the day we got it. Brilliant quality - the little cubes all have really lovely pictures on that are really well done. I'd definitely recommend

Bought this for my grandson who's 2, he likes playing with it and building towers. The blocks are small but that doesn't cause him any problems and they are colourful with lots of interesting pictures that will help develop his learning.

Very sweet, well-made toy. I hadn't read that it was for a 2 year old + & I bought it accidentally for a 1 year old. However I think the gift is lovely & will be enjoyed by the little boy who I bought it for when he's a little older.

These blocks are tiny. I love Melissa and Doug and the quality is as you'd expect. Fortunately I picked this up for a child that's only 1 so the blocks are suited to little fingers. Just be mindful if you decide to purchase.
