So far so good! I've long been searching for the ideal tubeless tire for my riding style. I ride single speed (hardtail obviously) in the northeast. Most of our trails are very rocky to super rocky. Though I find myself on fast hardpack from time to time too. I've long been a fan of Maxxis tires. Recently the Ardent since it's pretty bullet proof (hate flats!). I've been running the Ardent tubeless w/ sealant even though Maxxis says not to (many people do - it's fine). Now Maxxis finally has an official Tubeless Ready tire! It doesn't look like the tread is beefy enough for my local trails but they have surprising grip so far. And they are much lighter than the Ardent which is really a free ride tire.I'll update if the local trails rip the sidewalls soon... which is what happens to lesser tires.

My bike came from the factory with this tire. I use it with a tube even though it is tubeless ready. The sidewall is susceptible to cuts but if they made it stronger the tire wouldn't be as light. I had to replace my tire because the patches to sidewall cuts I made on the interior look about ready to blow out at the specified pressure. I have to blame the cuts on the terrain I am riding, not the tire. Even after adding shipping costs to Canada the price at Bikeinn was much lower than competitors and their service/tracking/follow-up is impeccable. Thank you.

My son need new tires on his mountain bike and he picked the Maxxis Ikon Folding Tire and he is very pleased with the tire. He is so pleased that he bought another one.The tires ride very smooth and his primary mode of transportation is his bike. He rides mostly on pavement and he said his ride has improved quite a bit from his other tires. It rides very smooth and has great grip. Besides, the tires look great on his Giant mount bike!!This is his first experience with tubeless tires and he couldn't be happier with them.

Super fast and tacky tires...I love em! They instantly seated on my Stan's EX Flow rims and have held sealant through 6 months of hard riding. They are very responsive to slight changes in air pressure and I've been able to try them out in many different conditions. Worked great at the bike park on hard pack and performed better than expected on the loose pack downhill trails in my area. No slips on any of the climbs so far. Might do even better with a more aggressive Maxis tire on the back and the Ikon up front.

Got this to replace a 3 year No Tubes Raven. Slightly more rolling resistance than Raven, noticed it only on first ride. Great traction, I ride Croom forest (central Florida) sand, pine needles, oak leaves combination. Considering replacing my front tire with same. Will make me a bit slower than all the others running Ravens, but might be able to get the advantage on speed through corners. Running tubeless, yes traction on front probably better but it was my rear tire that I needed to replace.

Complements a ardent 2.4 on front. Had a ardent 2.4 on the back and can definitely tell this a faster tire. I slashed a hole in the side the third time out. Which I hadn't done with the ardent in a year and a half of riding. Though to be fair the trail was heavily leaf covered so I was just plowing over everything... Put some shoe goo on the slash and 10 rides later losing no air. Running tubeless on a Arch EX rim. So far no stans leakage out the side wall with the new TR tire.

very pleased with the quick service and product. i recommend this seller and bikeinn i want to suggest that every product should have option of sending product via the government post including dhl etc. because these guys deliver it faster and it covers far corners of any country . i have to purchase many products but reluctant to buy because in past i have experienced troubles with the dhl [purchase from chainreactioncycle] thanks

Performed flawlessly on the Leadville 100 on the front on a 35mm wide carbon rim. Great light fast tire. Works great on dirt roads and can even handle some rocky trails. Will make lots of noise and slows down on roots but still performs fast and light on most trail conditions. Using them tubeless at low psi 30-40 psi but would not go lower than that as Maxis says the sidewalls are not designed for wide rims.

I bought this in a 2.35 for a front tire and paired with a 2.25 in Maxxis Ardent EXO Tubeless Ready rear tire. I thought the extra width of the Ikon would give me a desired slightly more grip in the front than rear in turns, but the aggressive tread of the Ardent provides more grip.It is a really high volume tire with decent grip, it holds air for months with Stans.

We run the Maxxis Icon + 27.5" x 2.8" and 2.35" 120 tpi on loose over hard decomposed granite in Arizona's Sonoran desert. There are thorns galore here. Tubeless is lighter so we run TR at 12-20 psi without tire sealant. Over 600 miles on these trails to date and not a leak or flat. Excellent traction and wear. They fit perfect on carbon or alloy rims too.

for me, a perfectly successful compromise between low rolling resistance and sufficient grip on the single trail. in the 3c version with the best that i had so far. at first i only wanted it for the back, but now i have it on both wheels. I'm curious to see how it is on really muddy ground. whether the coarser tunnels will not be missing? update follows

Great tire. My previous tire was the ikon non-EXO, and I had the sidewalks wear down before the tread. This time I bought exos and they appear like they will hold up a bit better. I use them on trail conditions that range from rocky to sandy to wet. Have them installed tubeless and I run them at about 34 psi (I am a big guy), no problems so far.

I was previously using the Maxxis High roller II which is a fantastic tire. However, I ride mostly in central texas and that tire seemed heavy. I changed to the Maxxis Ikon and I couldn't be happier. Perfect grip and weight. Low rolling resistance as well. Awesome tire. I will be ordering again when I wear these out.

Tire is light and rolls well as advertised. My only complaint is the tread depth isn't as deep as I would like. It is considered a race type tire so weight would be increased if it had more tread depth. So if you want a really long lasting tire, this may not be your best choice.

Just what I was looking for!! I needed a tire with a lot of air I could put under my butt on a hardtail, but needed to be fast rolling and not tons of bite so I keep my traction balance in the front. I need a wider wheel now to really get full use of the volume that's possible.
