This is a basic fan - no timer, pull-switch or humidistat - just a basic fan, designed for fused, switched connections.Easy to install and wire up (with one caveat) and just slides into the Manrose 6-inch solid duct.Quiet (relatively speaking - quieter than my old fan at least) and powerful.Could benefit from a back-draught shutter (but as I said earlier, this is a basic fan).The one negative (and a minor one at that) is that the cable to the fan motor interferes with the cable run and cable clamp for the incoming mains wiring. Why the motor wiring couldn't have been routed so that it was out of the way (or why the cable clamp and connector block has been placed where they have)

This item was easy to install by my self the only thing that I had to do was to predrill four new holes to secure the fan in place and connect the two wires. this took under two hours to remove the old fan and replace with the new fan.on the down side of this item it is a little nosier than the old one but it is very quick on clearing the food smells from the kitchen and I don't get any condensation on the kitchen walls when cooking.Would I by this product again YES as I have the same size extractor fan in the bathroom I will be purchasing this item again.

I bought this to replace a 20 year old fan in my kitchen.Since the hole was already there it was simple to fit this. All I had to do was drill four new holes, plug them and screw in. The plugs and screws are not included.The fan runs quiet. Not silent but the noise level will not annoy you. Also does a good job of clearing burnt toast smoke which is a regular habit in my house so changing this fan may be a regular thing. For the money this is every bit as good as units twice the price.

I paid the full price for this, I do not give praise unless due, all you get is an honest review, the good the bad and the ugly. Bought as a replacement for my sons kitchen. Easy connection and fitting. The fan is very quiet when compared to the item replaced. Bought at a reasonably good comparable cost. It was delivered promptly. There are cheaper versions available but this was worth the money and I would buy one of these again.

Have not fitted it yet, but this is quite a substantial unit and much more effective than the 100mm unit by the same manufacturer. The price was very attractive compared with other places where similar product is priced at nearly £32! Although the overall size of the unit is quite substantial, the size of the motor used seems quite small, so not sure how long it will last in use.

Very pleased with this fan that is removing all the heat from fridges & freezers in my garage - it replaced one that was going virtually non stop for 5 years. At this price its not worth the bother of getting the carbon brushes changed on my old fan. Easy to install into an existing 6 inch hole and connecting up to existing wiring. - Highly Recommended

REMEMBER TO HAVE PLENTY VENTILATION IN A WET ROOM A 6 INCH EXTRACTOR FAN IS IDEAL WITH A SEPARATE HUMIDITY SENSOR WHICH ALLOWS THE FAN TO RUN ON AUTOMATIC MODE AFTER SHOWER LEAVE WINDOW OPEN AND KEEP DOOR SHUT SO NO MOISTURE ESCAPES AND KEEP EXTRACTOR FAN RUNNING FOR ATLEAST OVER 1 HOUR WATCH THEN NO MORE MOISTURE THANKS

Very powerful! We are using it in our bathroom- we need to leave the door ajar - otherwise it can't get enough air to expel!Very efficient at clearing smells and steam from the bathroom. After using 4inch fans (which are useless at this job), this fan is in a different league!

I'd really like to give this fan a 4.5 but it is excellent at what it does... if a little loud!It's sooooo much better than our previous four inch fan, that I have become a fan of this six inch fan!All in all, noisy, but superb... especially given the price.

i installed this fan ceiling mounted in a small meter room i have to extract cigarette smoke it it does the job very well and so far ive had no problems with it at all its powerful and uses about the same electricity as a light bulb .....excellent....l

Good quality and appears to draw in a lot of air. Slotted nicely in the 6 inch hole that was already there. See picture for how it looks. We've got a fused switch for it and I'm told by the guys who fit it, that they think it'll run a long time.

The build quality is good, it is slightly noisy in use however it is a cost-driven design so, for example, the terminal block is just pushed in, not held by a screw. . The overall product does provide value for money

I mistakenly called this a "fanny" in front of the in-laws. Please do not make that mistake or it could be embarrassing for all!That said it is pretty quiet and dead easy to fix up
