Good useable size, twin vents -one of which it packs into. Can be compressed further with a strap around the outside. It says 4 people with rucksacks and 6 without! But I think 6 would be very friendly ! Unless everyone was very small. I keep this in the car so my family have shelter away from the vehicle. It often comes with us on longer walks, as my family is quite young we haven't used it up a mountain yet. Could do with a couple of loops on the outsides to attach walking poles too.

Bought this for when hiking without a tent have used it a couple of times for shelter when eating liunch and the elements are standard UK weather. It deploys really easily and it's easy to use even with just two. It also packs away really easily into the integrated stuff sack.I hope I never have to use it in an emergency but will continue to use it to keep me dry, warm and comfortable when out enjoying the hills.I would recommend this product and lifesystems as a brand .

I decided to buy this whilst driving on the M25 motorway in the pouring rain and pondering how I would keep the family dry and warm if I got a puncture etc and had to pull onto the hard shoulder. The two man version would be easier to use if there will only ever be two of you plus perhaps a small child, but if you carry more than two adults you would have to decide who to leave outside in the wind a rain.

The second one of these I've owned, the first got leant out and never came back. Compact and strong, I have 2 minor issues, it claims a capacity of 4 with bags and 6 without, it is quite tight with 6! the other is that the stuff sack is small, great for leaving in the bottom of your rucksack but difficult to re-pack with wet cold hands.

Used for wind shelter while having lunchbreaks in the hills thankfully haven't had to use in a life of death situation But having used several times now I would be extremely safe should an incident occur Downside is fitting back in stuffsack
