I found these poles ergonomically designed and easy to extend to my preferred length. As I have arthritis in my right foot, I found them an enormous aid to reduce the 'foot load' on steep descents. I am very pleased with these poles which are compact to carry and store.

Twist lock mechanism best I have used.Tough poles, for when you are carrying a heavy pack.
