I always have trouble getting to the phone before it goes to the answering machine, but as I always carry my mobile in my pocket this unit solves the problem. It avoids using call forwarding and also allows me to make calls on the landlines using my mobile. It is really easy to set up too.I like the way it only needs a WiFi connection and I don't have to pay for a voice over IP service. As a bonus, if you want, you can register and then receive and make landlines calls even when you are away from home. It also tells you if you have missed a call when you are still out.

The device is pretty good, but I get a few dropouts mid call. It is quite expensive at over £80, but it works for me.
