This is the most effective of a number of microphones that I have tried with Dragon Dictate. It allows me to finally achieve the productivity advantages of dictating documents and emails. In fact I'm using it to write this review, no typing. As a retired engineer who used to design these kinds of products, I attribute its effectiveness that to the physical positioning of the microphone and that the microphone signal is converted to digital form inside the unit, not relying on the computer's converter, which often leave a lot to be desired. The USB connection is also simpler than managing two separate audio connectors.

i bought this mic about a week ago as a replacement for the mic on my headset. Feedback from my online friends have said the mic is clear enough and there is no unwanted backround noise or hissing etc.currently using this mic for teamspeak 3 and voip within games and have had no problems with others hearing me sitting approximately 20 to 25 inches from the micwhile i have not yet made any videos for youtube i do intend to use this for voice over on some youtube videos aswell.the mic itself is on a fairly sturdy base, its not as heavy as i thought it would be but it seems to be sturdy enough, the mic is on a ball point swivel which does allow for some small adjustments of the angle,

My daughter is very happy with her new microphone, and delivery was prompt. She says her friends say she sounds like a different person compared to the extremely cheap mike she had previously. There were a few minor points about the design she didn't like, but they are minor hence 5 stars seemed fairer than 4. These are: the angle is fixed, it doesn't bend or rotate (this may make it more robust of course); the volume adjuster works in an unintuitive way, when you push it right once it increases the volume by one notch but there is no indicator to show the level it's at or when it's at maximum, so she would have preferred a wheel that adjusts volume directly and stops at maximum and minimum; and finally,

I wanted a microphone to record speech onto a laptop. I had purchased a Trust microphone for about £7, but it was not good enough - the sound was very thin and crackly. I thought that, if I paid a bit more for a USB microphone, I might be satisfied. It turns out that I was right, for the Klim desktop USB microphone is very easy to use, with Microsoft Voice Recorder or Audacity, and it gives excellent results. Speech is loud enough and is very clear. There is an on-off switch on the stem and a volume control below it. According to the online user manual, you can turn the LED lights on and off by pressing the volume switch down, but I couldn't get the lights to turn on at all, which was puzzling,

Ok so after destroying 20+ Mics in my lifetime, I'd had enough of the big brands and the rubbish they sell you at a premium price do thought I'd give these a go and the price was right. Upon opening the product first thing I noticed is that it's well constructed my 2 year old won't be able to snap this in half, also very pleasant on the eye design and the usb lead on it is longer than other brands so no more craning my neck to get at the mic also a gold plated usb ?Now to sound quality I used audacity to test it as recommend recording quality and playback 10/10 I then went on csgo with a couple of mates both of which noticed straight away I had a new mic and couldn't believe how much clearer

I'm honestly so impressed by this microphone. I'm currently recording a podcast for one of my university projects, and the last microphone I purchased on Amazon was more expensive but broke and didn't sound half as good as this one. It picks up literally all noise, which is good in some respects as it's usually very clear but if you have any trouble with background noise in recordings like me, I would really recommend noise reduction effects on Audacity to remedy the problem, and then it's genuinely like a very high quality sound. I've used a lot of industry standard recording equipment before and for something cheap with high quality, this is what you want.

The microphone arrived quickly and as described, and works brilliantly, bar a few tiny issues I had.The microphone was not picked up at first by voice chat programs (Discord, Skype, etc) at first, however after a few minutes of unplugging and plugging back in, all worked as expected.There is a section of the base with LEDs, which can be activated by the button above the logo. What is strange about these LEDs is that they seem to be software-controlled, and can only be activated by a SHORT press of the button (holding will do nothing), and cannot be activated without having booted fully into Windows, as far as I can work out.Other than that, the audio quality is okay (not brilliant, but not bad),

I bought this mic as a replacement for my gaming headset, as the onboard sound card was not isolated properly on my ASUS G170 Pro gaming Mobo and any microphone connected via the 3.5mm headphone jack created a horrible feedback noise as soon as anything graphically intensive was going on, so I decided to go for a USB mic to get around the problem. This one has worked great, the sound quality is better than my old headset according to people I speak to on skype and discord despite the headset being significantly more expensive, it's plug and play no install required. It also arrived in just 2 days, much quicker than the estimated delivery date, which was a pleasant surprise.

Box arrived quickly, I opened the contents (press-closed not sealed against nuclear attack, a bonus), unwrapped the cable and plugged it into a spare USB slot. Ping! It started working. I did then open the [recording devices] and make it the default mic but who's complaining. Used on Skype, worked well. Used to dictate into Word ~ it sits about 30" away and it worked faultlessly. Tried singing to it but the dog started howling so I gave up on that. Cannot see the LEDs working, but don't really want that feature so again no complaints. Overall, worked out-of-the-box with no sweat.Edit: LED's DO work,

It was well packaged and delivered fast, then easy to set up with one exception - it didn't seem to like some of the USB ports in my computer, I think it may have been a 2.0 or 3.0 port compatibility problem. However, I got it working and I've been told the audio is good, and with the microphone in front of my keyboard and mouse, my friends say they could barely hear (only when really trying to) the clicks and key presses of my average sounding peripherals.It looks good, has a little bit of flexibility on which way you point the mic (not much though), and the cable is a good length. 4/5 - the USB issue resulted in a lost star.

A solid microphone for gaming. Nothing spectacular, but nothing bad either. The base is incredibly bulky, which does grant it a lot of stability, it's hard to knock it over, but it also takes up a lot of space and looks pretty ugly if you ask me. The "stalk" of the microphone could be more articulate, it moves just a little bit around it's axis, but not enough to have it placed in an unconventional way. I also noticed some feedback when placed in a specific spot next to my laptop, though that could be from a myriad of things and I don't think the microphone's at fault.

For the price this is a good product, and is really easy to use. Sound reproduction of your voice is nice and clear, If you are just starting out on YouTube doing commentaries and have a low budget then you could do a lot worse than this microphone. The microphone has a rocker switch on the base, this is for increasing/decreasing the sound input level. To increase sound, pull the switch to the right. Then to decrease the sound, pull to the left. Then there is a switch on the stem, and this is to turn the microphone on and off. Push up to turn on, and down to turn off.

Nothing much to really say. It's a microphone with a more aggressive design tended towards gamers or anyone who has a red (blue/green) and black setup like me. Or if you just want something that lights up and looks cool. It's pretty sensitive so you don't need to move your mouth near it to talk into, you can sit back in your chair comfortably enough. I haven't really tested how far back it can pick you up, but it picks up all sounds clearly, even me scratching my stubble.My only critique is that it would be nice to have an on/off indicator led for the mute switch.

I wasn't sure what to expect when I ordered this item since I have not used a microphone before. It plugged in, and was ready to use. I read several reviews before I purchased this, since I'm a bit of a technoduffer and it has to be easy to use. What it doesn't tell you is that you have to download Audacity in order to cancel white noise, whatever that is. I would prefer not to have to use that, although I did install it from the link that was included from the email I received, so it was simple to do.The microphone is simple to use and seems to work well.

It works. It didn't cost a mint. The sound quality is actually rather good - background noise isn't completely filtered, but there's no static and (unlike many other microphones I've had) no electrical interference. Accidentally rubbing the mic won't deafen your mates. Wind shield isn't 100% perfect but it'd probably suffice enough to avoid triggering voice activation settings. Probably best you're going to get in the price range, and a fair bit above it. Well worth the 3 days of partying and the Eurofighter Typhoons kept it adequately safe in transit.
