I got this for mountain biking on hot days: no sleeves, but full coverage in the back and shoulders so my hydration pack doesn't chafe. It's awesome. The material is silky soft and cool, doesn't feel clammy when wet unlike some synthetics, and it does not stink! (Upon first wear, it had a bit of a wet dog smell when sweaty, but I think this was just the dye or something because I wore it without washing it first. It goes away.) It's also durable for how light it feels - I crash-tested it, no holes. :) It is pricey for a tank top, but it can replace a whole wardrobe of cheap polyester workout shirts because you can wear it multiple times in a row without it smelling or looking disgusting. I'm 5'3",

The Sphere Tank is my first piece of Cool-Lite apparel and I'm an immediate fan! I have a lot of Icebreaker clothing and really love it, but have always found it a bit warm for many summer days, even the tank tops. But now, I can wear Icebreaker merino in the summer too, having discovered Cool-Lite. It's comfortable, fits well, and is no-stink—perfect for hiking and travelling. I am already planning to order another tank and probably one of the low crewe shirts too. I'd love to see a couple of versions with an interesting graphic, like in the tech lite shirts. I am 5'4", 123 lb. and the small is perfect on me.

Love this shirt! I bought for a trip to South America, where I would be trekking as well as spending time in the city. It worked well to keep me cool in the hot weather, both while trekking and more leisurely walking around the cities. It wore well (eg didn’t pill with my backpack). I like the higher neck on the back. True to size. The shirt doesn’t smell with multiple wears and washes easily and dries quickly. The only disappointment is that the colour is not similar to the picture- it’s more navy than the picture shows. Still a nice colour, but not exactly what I wanted. I would definitely purchase again.

I bought this tank to be one of my main hiking tops, and it is quite comfortable and soft. I have now worn it 3 times, on two hot hikes and one day in the sun, and haven't washed it yet! It definitely lives up to it's naturally odour resistant claim. No smell. Plus, when wearing an old backpack that rests against my back, (not like the newer mesh ones) I do get sweaty, however, that sweat is gone quickly once I have the backpack off, and don't feel it when I put on the backpack, like you would with regular cotton tops. I look forward to wearing my long sleeve next month on a 5 day backcountry hike!

I love the lilac colour of this versatile Icebreaker tank. It is a valuable addition to my everyday wear and travel pieces. It is light weight, but can be layered under a zip jacket, teamed with a classic cardigan, a pullover sweater, or worn with shorts to work out. I love the new colours that allow my travel tops to have variety, be interchangeable with the function I am taking part in. Love that this rolls very small, washes and dries quickly and looks wrinkle free when dry. The rounded hem is complimentary to all shapes. Thank you for designing a beautiful tank.

So happy to have found this tank! Armpits fit well (not weirdly big or tight), length and fit is great (not tight fitting, but not loose), perfect weight, and good quality. I waited to write this review until I had washed a few times (I wash in a delicates bag on delicate cold and hang dry). The only negative is the side seam is slightly twisted, would be a 5 if that weren't the case. However, I would still buy again in the future. For reference, I am 5'6", 125 pounds, 32D with an average to slightly short body. I tried on both XS and S and kept the small.

This is the third Icebreaker Cool-lite garment in my wardrobe and it won't be the last! I love the drape, comfort and non-creasing versatility of this fabric. I also own a black sleeveless tunic and a grey t-shirt. Both have become essential when packing for travel, not just for active wear..they look smart, and can be layered up or down for style and temperature. Despite it bring slightly see through, I love the golden apricot colour of my tank top for summer. I hope to see Icebreaker come up with even more designs and colours in this fabulous fabric.

I’ve added this tank to my adventure uniform as a perfect under layer. I ordered an extra small and found there is still some room and it’s very generous in length. Worth knowing that it is kind of see through if that sort of thing would bother you. I’ve worn it three days on a recent trip with no smellyness. I was hoping that the straps were wider and a bit more coverage around the armpit and shoulders only so that it helps with any abrasion from my rucksack.

This tank is perfect for me. It covers what I want covered while allowing for freedom of movement and minimal clothing. I am usually a large in Icebreaker, but the medium is a perfect fit. I’m 5’8” and weigh 142 and have a middle-aged pudge belly. The cost may seem high for a tank, but I already know that Icebreaker’s quality is worth it and that I’ll have this tank for years. Ideal for summer by itself, or under a fleece in cooler weather. .

This is what I’ve been looking for in a top - mostly, but not exclusively, used for exercise. The fabric is lovely - soft and light - the softest merino I’ve found so far. As people usually say, it breathes, doesn’t smell, and dries quickly in what has been a very hot summer. I’ve ordered a second and have the benefit of the end of season sale! I imagine that it will also be a nice first layer when the weather gets cold.

The fabric is lovely and I wish Icebreaker made more casual, non-athletic shirts (3/4 length sleeve, long sleeve) like this. The neckline is a little low for working out outdoors (I have to wear sunscreen above the neckline with this one) but that is likely because I should be in a size XS. For reference, I am 5'5" (165cm), 111 lbs (51kg). Still, a lovely shirt. The pinstripes are a nice change from a solid color.

I use it as a baselayer under my cycling jersey on cool days and on it's own for hiking and running on warmer days. It is so versatile, remains stink-free for several wearings, and I love the wool/Tencel blend. It's durable and easy to care for (I wash in machine on warm and line dry). I love the black heather color (not as see -through as a pale pink version I got a few years ago - too sheer to wear alone).

I got the tank in grey. It's light weight and has a flattering cut. I've had it for a few weeks and I love how versatile it is. I can wear it for work, out on a run, and on a hike- all in the same week! And it still smells good!I ordered a small. I'm 5'6", 140 lbs with an athletic-ish build and a small fits well, but on the tight side (in a good way imo). For a loose fit, I would recommend a medium.

This is the perfect summer tank. Lightweight, comfortable texture, amazingly stink resistant. I'm very picky about how clothes feel on my body but also want style. The cut on this is perfect for an easy breezy style. This can take you from the farmer's market to DIY landscaping and with a quick dunk and hang dry it's ready for a work day on Monday. I'm really hoping they make a few more colors!

Love these tanks. I have multiples in a variety of colours. I live in them during the summer and use them as under shirts in the winter. They are quick drying which is fantastic and love that they do not stink after sweating in them. This colour is a bit see through as they are very lightweight. Since they are super lightweight, they do get holes and have snagged them. Overall great.
