I've been wearing these Icebreaker Sphere tops, both long and short-sleeved versions, in all weather and temperatures from about 4°C up to 26°C and found them comfortable although I had to peel them off during the hotter heatwaves when anything other than a loose light shirt was too much. In cooler weather they seem to provide a light warmth which I assume is the merino providing insulation while in warmer weather they feel cool and in hot weather they wick very rapidly. When out walking and cycling I felt myself starting to sweat but whereas cotton becomes cold and clammy and polyester feels sticky, these Sphere tops wicked rapidly, dried quickly and still felt fresh. They're especially good for travel and while away with no laundry facilities, I hung them up overnight each still felt fresh and remained odour free for the full week.I'm a UK size 10-12, 1.75 metres, a slim build with 86cm chest and normally wear a size medium in the Icebreaker Oasis and Everyday merino ranges. However, the sizing of Sphere garments seems to run large and I found the medium-size swamped me in the Sphere range, so opted for small but still found this a very loose and draughty fit so settled eventually on extra-small.For information the extra-small measures 42cm across the chest (underarm to underarm) and 68cm back length and provides a close but stretchy fit. They wash well by hand (my preference) or a gentle machine-wash at 40°C and there's no shrinkage. I let them dry naturally and they dry in a few hours if hung in a breeze. These Sphere tops are high quality, natural clothing which can be worn almost year-round in cold, cool or warm weather and remain fresh and comfortable, feeling soft and almost silky against the skin with absolutely no prickliness or irritation from the merino wool. They're not cheap to buy but will last for years providing good performance throughout, particularly for active-wear. In the future, both the merino wool and Tencel (made from wood fibres) will biodegrade naturally making them environmentally-friendly too.

This is definitely a staple! After it's first wash, it is super soft and lightweight. I have worn it 3 times already (running, walking, and hiking), and haven't washed it yet - it STILL doesn't smell! I am usually a size 8-10. I have an older model of the cool-light crewe shirt in a size small, and it is a nice relaxed/semi-fitted look when worn. However, I prefer looser fits, so I went with the Medium this time and it's perfect. Loose, relaxed, and the shoulder sleeves fit perfectly - doesn't look oversized at all. Perfect for everything I do - from casual wear to MTBing, yoga, running, hiking, walking, etc. I bought the "Amore Heather" colour and its very pretty - brighter than expected. It's lightweight, very quick-drying, highly breathable, and so so comfortable!

I'm a rock climber who works in nature conservation.I chose to purchase from Icebreaker as their ethics re: creating natural fiber products that are gentle on the environment are very much in line with my own. Not all manufacturers of Merino products are alike and Icebreaker seems to be among the best, ethics-wise.As a climber, I've developed rather large muscles in my shoulders and upper back in comparison to the rest of my build. I find it difficult to buy shirts that fit both my shoulders and my mid-section where they tend to be overly baggy. The Cool-lite t-shirt fits me wonderfully and it's so comfy and soft!I'm really happy with this purchase and glad I grabbed two in different colours!

I work as an outdoor professional and tend to spend at least 3/4 of my (pre-COVID) year in the field. From extreme conditions in the mountains to wilderness rivers and everything in between, this is my go to shirt!!! I love the fact that it smells ways better after 30 days of straight wear than a non wool shirt, it’s light and airy, and pretty darn durable for wool. Of course you’ll always get tiny holes and such, but hey, that’s just more character! Highly highly recommend! It fits as specified, and of course stretches out with wear, so if you’re worried about that I would size down. I am 165cm, about 120 lbs and the small fits me great, slightly loose to start.

I bought this as a cool and breathable summer hiking shirt. I wore it in a hot and steep climb last weekend and it was amazing, very comfortable and cool, and I like the light purple colour. The shirt fits pretty loose. I’m 150 lbs, 5’9”, usually a medium in most shirt brands, and I ordered a medium for this. I like the fit though for exercise as it helps make the shirt cool. If you wanted something a little more slim fitting, you could likely size down if you’re thin. The neckline is lower than your basic crew t-shirt without being too low, dare I say the perfect workout tshirt neckline. I haven’t seen how it holds up over time and washing, but so far I love it!

After many years of wearing standard merino t-shirts & a dress, this is my first Cool-lite item. The super-soft fabric is very comfortable & the occasional small itch experienced with standard fabric is non-existent. It's a bit heavier in weight plus feel, possibly feeling a touch warmer as a result, but definitely better at moisture wicking & drying. I really like the low crewe neckline - as a small person, I can rarely wear anything but Icebreaker's high crewe & V-neck options. Still has the same no-stink qualities I love about the standard merino fabric. I'll be looking at more from this line in future.

This was my first merino tee and I’m a convert. I bought this for the gym as I was so over sticky, tight, smelly activewear. Loved the dark pink colour, the material is quite lightweight so I probably wouldn’t want to wear a colour that’s too light as it would show my stomach more obviously. It’s both cosy and super breathable at the same time! I loved that after a workout I didn’t get cold chills as I cooled down. I wore it all week and zero smell. It started piling a bit though.. the website says you should wash it within 3 wears each time to prevent that so I might try that going forward.

First thing I bought at icebreaker and it is great! This shirt has been on overnight hikes and runs in 90+ degree heat and 100% humidity in Florida to week long hikes in California. Even when I’ve drenched the t-shirt in sweat, it dried quickly and had relatively little odor. I have shirts that dry faster, but they stink. This is a good product that delivers on its promise to keep you cool, dry, and stink-free. One note, as someone with larger arms, I had to get a medium so they weren’t uncomfortable. The rest of the T-shirt doesn’t fit that well as a result. Not the best fit, but worth it.

I live in Texas and have avoided wool except on the coldest days of our winter- until now. I bought two of these t-shirts for a week-long camping and hiking trip and I’m 100% converted to light-weight wool in warm weather. This shirt is breathable and cool and I can wear it for multiple days without it getting stinky. The cut is flattering, especially the longer length. It’s also easy to wash out and dries quickly. I really only needed these two shirts for the whole week and LOVE when I can pack light. Wore comfortably in temps up to 90 degrees. I’ll definitely buy more Icebreaker.

I have replaced all of my t-shirts with these. Love the materials icebreaker uses. I have a hard time regulating my body temperature for medical reasons and these shirts are a great way to ensure I don’t get too hot or cold, year-round. The panther color is more like a striped heather than a true heather. My only complaint is that the colors are all pastels. I stick with grays and blacks because of this. I wash and machine dry these (not recommended by Icebreaker). I love how no fuss they are and how luxurious yet casual they make me feel.

I really like this one even though I normally prefer a lower cut. But I use these for weekend house wear and sleep wear and for sports. I love the colours and it feels very soft and lightweight yet warm. Very happy with it having been on sale and didn't want to return it! I am normally a size 12-14, being 1.74m tall and about 65-70kg weight. Size S of the Icebreaker garments for base layers seem to fit me best. I use size M for middle layers (long sleeve tops) and size M or L for top layer garments (zip hoodies, depending on purpose).

Love this shirt! I've been looking for a long time for a fabric that is comfortable, quick-drying, keeps me warm when it's cold and cool when it's warm, and the fabric blend used in the Cool-lite Sphere T-Shirts is perfect! Plus I love the colors - I bought 5 of them! I wear these shirts when I'm exercising and also just for every day wear. I also really like the cut and how they hang a bit on the long side - at 5'10" I'm on the tall side and prefer shirts that hang well below my waist. These are now my go-to shirts for everything.

16.11.2019

This is a great shirt for pretty much any activity. Nice enough for traveling. Breathable enough for activity. And it really does keep you cool in the heat better than other fabrics. It is well cut and has a nice fit - very comfortable. I would use caution though for rough activities: this is my second one because after 2 years my first one got a bunch of holes from my backpacking waist buckle, and my climbing harness. Sizing is pretty good, I’m 5’2, 125 lbs and curvy and the small fits well and isn’t too tight across the chest.

6.8.2020

I bought the purple color, and it is a very lovely color. Only a tiny bit see through--have to wear a nude color bra underneath. The fit finder recommended a M but I typically purchase one size larger in icebreaker t-shirts because I find that the M are tighter in the shoulders and waist than I like. Larges end up being a little big in the chest, but the shoulders feel better. Mediums also cling around my waist, so I like the L better because they are looser in the waist. I am 5'4" and 135 lbs with a 33" waist.
