I purchased this straw lid to go with my 40oz Hydro Flask. It makes it easy to quickly sip my drink and, when needed, seal it back up. Initially I had 3-4 straws crack and lose suction (making them useless). After getting those replaced, I did a lot of experimentation and found two things to avoid cracking the straws:1. Don't press the straw all the way up the connector inside the lid. The width at the top of that connector is a little too big and puts stress on the straw.2. Cut the straw slightly shorter than specified by the cut guide. The 40oz flask is the tallest, but the full length straw is actually about 1/8" too long so it pushes against the bottom, creating a slight bending in the straw and causing even more stress on it.After following the two guidelines above my straws are maintaining very well now. Even so I suspect straw replacement will be a fairly regular thing so I ordered a set of third-party replacements (for some reason Hydro Flask doesn't sell replacement straws).

The all black design is a hard plastic, not like the older gray one that was a softer material. However, the gray material would disintegrate after a while, especially if you washed it in the dishwasher. The all black may be a cheaper design, but it appears to last longer.UPDATE - 10/12/17 - a year later, I started experiencing some leaking from the small o-ring under the spout. I tried flipping the o-ring over and that did not seem to help. I contacted Hydro Flask to see if I could order some small o-rings and they replied - don't worry, it has a lifetime warranty! I filled out an online form and they sent a whole new lid! Fantastic service. The lid itself last longer than the old version, but it looks like it wears on the sealing ring - but with a lifetime warranty, this isn't an issue.

I used this for my 40 oz Hydro flask and absolutely love having a straw option as well as the original twist off wide mouth top. I have had my bottle for nearly 3 years and can definitely speak on the quality of hydro flask. After years of being my daily water bottle it has held up amazingly and this lid is no different. I’ve already dropped it twice and despite scratches, it’s still almost in mint condition. The straw part didn’t break off and the plastic didn’t crack. The lid isn’t 100% leak proof and sometimes lets out a little dribble from the straw but it never claims to be entirely leakproof and I have found it to be a non issue thus far. This is one of the best purchases I’ve made.

This is so much better than not having one with a straw/mouth. Worth it, but be cautious of what you put near it when its just gonna be sitting for a while. Sometimes I'll fill it with ice water before bed & leave it on my night stand (with its mouth shut), and when I wake up in the morning, the water has pooled up and sometimes leaks onto my nightstand. I guess this is due to its drop in temperature/change in air pressure as the ice melts, but still sucks. Dont leave it/near on paper. It fits on both my hydroflasks, and comes with 2 straws to be cut depending on the size of yours. I cut mine to the lengths of my 2 different sized hydroflasks, so thats convenient.

Wasn't sure what to expect but was pleasantly surprised. A lot of the old reviews that are bad are from the old lid. The new all black lid is great. Where you suck from is now hard plastic so you don't have to bite down on anything like you have to on the camelback eddy. Also it says "not leak proof" but mine hasn't leaked at all even when turned on its side. I use it on my 64 oz and the finger hole makes that big bottle easy to hold and drink from by slipping your index finger through it and wrapping the rest of your fingers around the neck. Be careful cutting the straw to length. I would cut long and trim to get it just right.

So my daughter wanted that HydroFlask, just like all her little friends. Where as the bottle shes uses is perfectly fine, it doe snot have the quality feel of other, stronger brands ( if you know what I mean). This top does works as designed, it is solid and fits the bottle perfectly. After many month though, like most children, they are now searching for something better. I advised her when she has the money as we only buy you one product type and if you choose to not like it int he future, you may buy whatever you have the money for. Either way, this top still works for it's intended purpose for a HydroFlask top with straw.

The lid came with two straws. I cut the straw down in small bits until I felt that the straw was at the bottom of the 40 ounce Hydro flask. I tested for water tightness and at first there was leakage. I managed to screw the top down tight and eliminated the leakage. I flipped the mouth piece up and found I had no trouble drinking from the flask. This lid replaces the Hydro lid that I had with the flip lid. That one you had to lift the flask to drink. This one you maintain the flask in the upright position. As I use this on the golf course when I play, I will find it easier to drink and store the flask.

Love this! It helps me drink more water. Great for driving as I can drink with only one hand. This is NOT “leak proof”. A few drops will get out here and there. If you leave the straw open it comes out faster. It also sometimes pressurizes and leaks that way.It is “leak-resistant”. I travel with it in my backpack and have never had issues. I can lay it down in my car and it doesn’t drip everywhere.Getting the straw cut to the right height is really important/difficult, but you’ll have off suction or not be able to drink all of the water otherwise.

I got this lid for my first hydroflask ever because I liked the easy access to the straw. After a few months of use, I noticed when the water gets somewhat low the suction is less. I find myself refilling it almost halfway just to get a better suction. Not leak proof. Also makes a suction noise in every gulp, when drinking water. I noticed it wasn’t supposed to make a noise when my boyfriend who has a different lid for his canteen, doesn’t do that. The noise can be annoying in a quiet classroom or library.

I've gotten this item several times for a couple different hydroflasks and I love it. The loop makes it really easy to carry the water bottle around and the spout is easy to pull out and drink from. If you get replacement straws, make sure they'll fit the fitting on the underside of the lid however, I've found that this particular spout isn't compatible with some of the offerings Amazon has that supposedly fit it (those straws were the item that did not match the specifications though, not this spout).

This lid works great on my HydroFlask. The straw ships very long and it has a template for how long to cut it based on the size of your bottle. At first the straw kept coming off inside the bottle when I filled it with ice. This was because I put too much ice in it and it wouldn't move when I screwed the cap on. Now I fill it halfway with ice so that the ice floats around and doesn't restrict the straw. No issues since then. I use it all day, everyday. No leaks or problems to report.

I've tried many others (the HF screw top, flip top, and a two non-OEM straw lids) and this is my go-to. I was worried about leakage after reading reviews from other people but I've hat it for about 2 months of daily use and no leakage at all. Not sure if they improved the product based on the earlier problems or if I just got lucky. One tip: the straws will need to be cut. On the back of the cardboard part of the package is a guide you can use to cut them to the exact right length.

I'm a repeat buyer. Love these tops for my water bottle! I keep my full water bottle on the floor by my bed at night where I can easily reach it without sitting up. Best of all, I can grab my water and drink from it without sitting up, too, disturbing my sleep as little as possible. I do find that the straw part can get a little funky so it's important to clean frequently (maybe once or twice a week. I also like that I can carry my water bottle by the little loop.

I have the yeti 64oz and I have to say that the Hydro flask straw out performs the yeti straw lid by leaps and bounds. It's because hydro flask straw lid is engineer different to have more flow witch is very nice it's almost like they pinched the yeti straw lid. So I was going to buy a knock off hydro flask lid. But don't do that to yourself. Make sure you buy Hydro flask brand and you will love every time you take a drink and this lid doesn't leak.

I am hearing impaired and needed a headphone with volume control to FaceTime with my elderly parents. It fell a little short. I need more amplification than it offers. I can't fault them as it wasn't designed for people like me. I gave it a 4 stars because the description they gave was accurate. The only drawback was the headsets cushions has a tendency to fall off.I was hoping for a louder system for my hearing aids T-coil. My search continues.
