Hydro Flask...where have you been all my life?! I am so thankful that my younger sister alerted me of this water bottle / canteen brand because it is out-of-this-world amazing! Like seriously, fill it with ice and water before bed...tons of ice still there in the morning and most of the day as I continued to refill it. This is a game changer, people. i would love to do a little test filling it completely with ice only and take photos throughout a 24 hour period. Perhaps an update to come ;)Ok enough over the top swooning...but seriously I have never seen something as insulating as this. I purchased it as a replacement to my camelbak (Eddy)water bottle with straw because the darn thing started leaking out the top on it's own and I couldnt fix it. It was terrible and left a huge puddle in my car holder, and when I picked it up it usually got me all wet on top of it :-| I was fed up and ready to invest in something that would last. Why I went with this one:Wide lid top - necessary if you want to buy the optional straw top. As someone using this throughout the day at work, in my car, next to my bed...I am not interested in constantly unscrewing the top. I will say that this new lid with handle is pretty great for long term storage and taking on a trip to be perfectly sealed and better insulated. It is said that the straw top doesnt make the insulation last as long. Lasts long to me, but as someone who occasionally camps for festivals in extreme heat - the longer the better and I will use whatever lid makes sense for the time. Nice to have options :)Size: I went with the 18 oz so it would fit in my car holder. Very important to me. The larger one seems awesome for situations where you need a lot more water, but not fitting in my car holder was a deal breaker. The smaller size choices are a bit disappointing. 18 oz isnt really very much and my camelbak was roughly 25 oz. I just wish it was more comparable.Color and coating: This blue is classic and neutral, but more colorful than the gray (that was what I was debating). It is true to color on screen! I kind of wanted the white as it was classy, but the down-to-earth, practical me was afraid it would get dirty easily. Im very happy with my choice. Its a bummer than this bottle style doesnt come in more shades, though. There was a different blue I really liked...and other styles have a lot more of the bright fun colors in the larger sizes. Is what it is. The trademark coating is a nice texture, durable, and its so amazing to have ice within it... but feel completely room temperature in my hand on the outside.** note: I read someone else state this and have observed the same. I have a VW Jetta with the plastic "claws" that retract for different sizing in my center area cup holder. It does seem to leave marks on this bottle (slight scratch marks) and that bums me out. I am having to put this in the door cup holder to avoid that.** Durability: Not that I wanted this to happen, but butterfingers me seriously dropped this right on my laminate flooring. Nothing happened to it! Not dings, not scratches. Impressive. What else can I say... this is totally a worthy investment to anyone wanting a high quality water bottle / canteen / liquid travel vessel. Lifetime warranty always shows the thought and confident put into a product. Love that you can go online and choose a donation charity of your choice out of a handful of non-profit organizations, with 5% of your purchase going to your selection. I always pick the animals charities and went with WWF.I'll be reviewing the straw lid separately but I will state here that it works GREAT and is exactly what I hoped for. NO MORE LEAKS!! Dont get confused and buy the knockoff by the way, I nearly did!!... if you are going to spend this much money, its worth getting the manufacturer's official lids.I LOVE MY HYDRO FLASK :D

Hydro Flasks are fantastic - they keep my water icy cold for over a day, as advertised. I especially like the wide mouth, which makes filling them with ice easy. I also like that you can buy several different styles of lids - flip tops, with straw, etc. The colors are vibrant, they don't sweat, and there is enough texture in the coating to give them some grip. It's worth the price.Regarding sizing: The 18 oz. hydro flask is convenient because it fits into my car cupholder, whereas the 32 oz. size is too large to fit. However, I prefer the 32 oz. volume. Hydro Flask - if you are reading this - I'd really like it if you would make a 24 - 30 oz. version with the same diameter footprint as the 18 oz.version. That would be the Goldilocks size for me.Note: Be careful about dropping them on hard surfaces - Hydro Flasks dent easily.

The Hydro Flask works just as described. My husband is a Sport Official and uses this on a daily basis. He loves it because in hot weather it keeps his water the temperature he likes. It very durable. He ended up getting an additional lid with the straw opening with the finger loop. He loves it because he can use a clip to hook it to the fence and it doesn't have to be on the ground. No problems with leaking at all! He loves it so much we bought 3 flasks in different sizes. I use mine for hot coffee with the flip lid. It keeps the coffee hotter much longer than any other stainless steel container I have had. The company that shipped it was fast and thorough with excellent customer service, and it was available with Amazon Prime. The color/size selection was great an it came in 2 days! I would highly recommend this product.

This might be one of the most expensive brands of its kind, but I gotta say that it gets the job done for both cold and hot beverages. I took it to the beach one day when the weather was in the 90s, had water in it with a bunch of ice cubes, assuming that under that weather, the ice would melt in no time. Even though I opened the bottle several times to drink from it, three hours later, the ice cubes were smaller, but still there! My scientist friends were all wondering what technology they use to allow for that! Similarly, when I had very hot tea on it one day, I kept in my car (where it was cold) for a couple of hours, and when I opened to drink, it was still tongue-burning hot. So yeah, this bottle was an investment, but it works pretty well.

Keeps liquids HOT or COLD for hours, as specified by the manufacturer, but so do many other brands in the same product category. What's outstanding about this particular brand is that the inside is coated with an amazing powder which prevents the flask from altering the taste of its contents. Other plain stainless steel thermoses seep a nasty metal taste into your water, juice, or coffee. Furthermore, Hydro-Flasks feel great to the touch and they come in many beautiful colors. You can buy different lids for various purposes to customize your usage. Fantastic product, well done! I own three different Hydro-Flasks of different sizes, and enjoy using all of them.

I wish it was a few ounces larger but the next size up was too heavy with water in it. The handle is soft and easier to carry with arthritis in my hands/fingers. I really like the color. The lady at the information desk in the airport lifted her Hydro Flask up to show me hers when she saw mine. She said she owns several. The one she showed me had a lid which was easier to drink from when walking but she said that one leaked and this lid never leaked. The ice and water stayed cold - not quite as long as advertised but impressive. I haven't tried hot liquids yet. I've never had a water bottle that didn't sweat when ice was in the bottle.

This bottle is no joke. Have been using it throughout the whole summer (at the beach, on turf fields for sports) and it has definitely kept everything cold. If you put even just a few cubes of ice in your water will be FREEZING. Very sturdy construction (it's taken a few drops now) and at most got a minor dent when it hit the concrete. I think the only thing to be aware of, as other people have mentioned, is that the outside of the bottle can get hot if you leave it in direct sunlight on a bright, hot day. If you put anything over it though, it stays cool enough to handle.

This is my first Hydro Flask product and I'm very impressed. As a long-time Yeti Rambler user my bar was set pretty high and I have to say it seems like HF is actually the one to beat. Quality is apparent inside and out, has a great feel to the powdercoating. Heck, even the lid--which you almost expect to be kind of an afterthought--is superb. All this is for not if it doesn't perform, and so far it's a winner. Filled it up with ice and water just to see what it could do, and a full 24 hours later I still have ice.5 stars. I'll be buying more HF products in the future.

i was introduced to Hydroflask last year by a coworker. I first purchased a 40 oz and then i purchased a 21 oz bottle. I am now updating my collection to have different sized for different needs in my household [not to mention i lost my 21 oz one at Disneyland *tear]back to the main topic, this particular bottle i purchased to use at work. I fill it up with ice at home in the morning and refill with water throughout the day at the office. This bottle does not disappoint. I swear the ice stays there for up to 2 days [personal experience.] love love love it!

This was the only truly leak-proof insulated beverage container I could find on the internet. I needed something I could throw in a bag and carry to work, filled with hot coffee, knowing it would not spill on me. It does an excellent job. The outside stays room-temperature while the beverage inside stays as hot as the moment it came out of the coffee maker on my 40 minute commute, and for hours afterward actually if I keep the lid on. It stays warm while I'm drinking it, too, even without the lid, and I take probably an hour and a half to finish it.

We have 5 hydro flasks and absolutely love them. I bought this one for my mother-in-law. I really like the new screw on cap and paint. The paint has a little roughness to it (isn't completely smooth like the original flasks). By the feel and the look of the paint it seems better quality. The new lid has a flexible handle attached to it for easy transport. I contemplated buying a new flask for myself because of this cap because c'mon the hard plastic handles that you can buy are a joke. I love the new upgrades!

Great water bottle and would buy again.Pros: Excellent stainless steel build quality, grippy powder coated finish, nice insulated top with durable handle. Keeps cold or hot all day and the wide mouth is very easy to clean. The metal is smooth around the rim so comfortable to drink from. Overall you pretty much get what you pay for.Cons: 18oz is a bit small for a $30 bottle. The Hydro Flask wide mouth series really should start at 20oz, then go to 32oz. Oh well, don't regret the purchase.

I swear I use my Hydro Flask for everything. Not only do I take it everywhere, I also use it at home to keep my drinks cold. I'm a fiend for always having a cold beverage to sip, and with the Hydro Flask, I can put some ice water in and it will stay cold for days on end. One of the most useful things I have ever bought. Well made and easy to clean. Most of the colors are too bright for me but the graphite gray is a very handsome dark silver metallic finish that goes with every backpack.

So far so good. I have a 32oz Hydro Flask that I use frequently, but wanted a smaller bottle as the 32oz can be heavy. I'm a big fan of insulated bottles and have had great luck with the HydroFlask. I will say, I do not think that the bottle keeps liquid as cold (haven't tested hot liquid) as the S'Well bottle, for instance, but it still keeps cold for several hours. New top style is also great, however you can still purchase the older "Nalgene" style top separately.

It will keep your water ice cold. I have the 18oz version, which effectively replaces the standard plastic water bottle. It's just slightly larger in diameter, so it'll fit in most holders and compartments designed to hold a water bottle. Or just stick it on a carabiner. Great for traveling. Also stays clean and is easy to clean. It WILL take fall damage if you drop it while it has water in it. Mine has dents on the bottom from just one drop from waist height.
