Let me say that i am probably biased slightly as I have been using flip cases for the last 4-5 years. As such I got used to them, and their main disadvantages. But I also cannot live without their benefits.This case is branded Huawei, and if not made directly by Huawei then the phone manufacturer must have been involved in this in one way or another, as these cases are shown on their website.The case arrived very nicely packages in a slightly unusual packaging, which was nice to see. It says that the designers were involved and thought about the end user experience.The case itself feels very well made.The case is rigid and the phone fits perfectly. It actually goes in very easily, almost too easily.But at the same time feels very secure. The four corners which hold the phone in place are made or rigid but soft to touch plastic. This protects the phone from scratching during installation.The colour of the case itself is what I can only describe as grey. That is it. The window is tinted, dark.The case is made of plastic, but the outside is textured like leather, and feels very nice, ever so slightly soft. The inside feels more smooth and rubbery, very soft and silky to touch.This should be very gentle on the screen.While the case is closed, by pressing the power button you can see the time and date, and any call/text notifications (only sms, not other apps. Or at least I did not manage to set it up this way.) When you open the case the phone's lock screen comes on. The front cover also nicely folds back if needed.Naturally you have an access to all the phone functions and usb, except for the SIM/SD card 'drawer'. To access it you need to remove the phone from the case.PROS:So summarising the case looks good, feels nice and should protect the phone very well. No worries about keeping the phone in one pocket with some change and keys (bear in mind that three of the phone's side edges are exposed).CONS:As others said, the main problem of the flip cases is that you will struggle fitting it onto any sort of holders, but it can be done with practice. Additional drawbacks is the fact that when the front cover is folded back, it covers the fingerprint sensor and camera. These are typical to all flip cases, and there is not much you can do. You either learn to live with it, or not :)One thing which is specific to this case, is that top, bottom, and one side edges of the phone are still exposed. So could scratch if kept in the pocket with some sharp hard items (keys, coins etc).SUMMARISING:If you can live with all the typical disadvantages of flip cases (see CONS above) then you will be very happy with this case. It is a high quality case which is stylish, elegant, feels great and protects the phone as it should. I personally am very happy with it.

My favourite phone case ever!I recently moved to a Huawei P9 after my LG G4 died with the reboot-of-death, and am not regretting it at all, however, I always seem to drop my phone in the first week of ownership and it really annoys me every time I notice that inevitable tiny scratch on the screen or blemish on the corner, so I looked at protection for the P9.I looked at several very cheap cases, some of them looked alright, but then I found this official case, which although slightly more expensive, has a cool window so you can check on your notifications without even opening it - so had to have it! It's also a nice silver/gold colour which matches my white phone,and was a fantastic price to boot.It's made from a very soft rubbery fake leather material which has lasted very well so far - no creases or marks even along the spine which takes the folding action. Although it doesn't offer true all-round protection (the bottom, sides and top of the phone are exposed), there is a slight overlap of the case so it should hit the case first before your phone - the corners which are the most exposed bits on the phone when dropped are very well protected with a plastic bumper on each corner. The case is also slim enough not to add unnecessary bulk to the phone, which prides itself on being one of the slimmest on the market, so that's nice too - what is the point of having a super-slim phone if you need a huge bulky case which makes it look ugly? I've only had positive comments on my P9 with this case - it really does look really swish.Unlike my previous LG G4's circle case, which left the portion of screen within the circle completely unexposed (and therefore prone to scratches when dropped - kind of defeating the whole point of having a case) - this official P9 case covers the entire screen - even the window section is covered and protected by a translucent piece of smoked perspex.The most amazing thing is, the touch-screen still works through the perspex cover, so when you receive a call, it shows a circle which you can drag up to a green phone icon to answer the call, or down to a red phone icon to ignore, It works really well and is a really nice little feature as you don't need to unlock or even open the case to answer or reject a call. The display shown when the case is closed is quite helpful too - it shows the time, weather and how many unread texts etc you have as well as your step count for the day. It looks cool too! I do miss the 'knock on' double-tap to wake up of the LG phone though.As you can tell, I really love this case (and the phone too - even if it is trying a little too hard to look like an iDevice) - and I'm happy that the case will keep my phone looking new for longer, without making it look bulky or ugly.Highly recommended.

It fits, it looks good, and it works for me - I don't keep my phone in pockets with keys and loose change, and after several weeks use the plastic window remains unscratched. It fits well and does not make the phone too bulky. It is made of some synthetic material with a grained finish on the outside, and does not show fingerprints except of course on the clear plastic window.Closing the cover locks the phone, and the clock is displayed for several seconds. To see the clock at any time, it is only necessary to unlock with the fingerprint reader. Calls can be answered, conducted and ended without opening the case.The fingerprint reader aperture on the back of the case is nicely bevelled for comfortable use.

Buying an official case from the manufacturer of your phone is around 10 times (not exact maths) more expensive than buying a cheap alternative from China. Once, I owned a Samsung Galaxy Alpha (I know), and rather than spend nearly £30 on an official S-View case, I bought a cheap copy of the same. It didn't clip in properly, but did an okay job.Here, I've got the official Huawei one for my P9. It fits perfectly (obviously), and doesn't add too much bulk to my phone, which is a bonus. I've dropped my phone a couple of times since, and we're all good - the front flap doesn't have a magnetic bit to keep it closed, which would have been a nice addition, but on the whole it's well designed.When you open the phone,

Recently got a Huawei P9. Immediately found the phone was very slippery and I was worried it was going to get damaged. Ordered this case after reading other reviews. It is a solid case the fits tightly to the phone. It is well designed and comfortable to hold. It has cut outs for the fingerprint scanner and the camera and after using it a couple of times, you don't realise the cover is on. There is a small clear plastic viewing area to the right of the case. If you have smart case activated on your phone this worked really well. As you can see on the photo's you can see the time, however you can also see who is calling and even answer the phone by simply sliding up without opening the cover.

This is probably the best case you can find for this phone on the market. It is designed by Huawei so it fits perfectly and although you`re paying more than you would for other cases, the quality is very good and it looks very elegant on the phone. I doesn`t have a magnet though and some people have complained about it, but it doesn`t bother me. The only downside I found would be that the window get scratched quite fast. I`ve had it for a month and it has scratched pretty badly simply from staying in my pocket as I have never dropped the phone or something. But at the same time I appreciate that it`s a hard plastic window rather than some thin plastic foil and plastic will scratch no matter what.

Firstly it arrived very quickly & well packaged,well done amazon.1. The coulour: it's a very dark grey & the leather is smooth & mat (not shiny)2. Front window: it's made of plastic but has a sticker protection on it so don't forget to remove it.. the window can be prone to picking fingerprints... Now for the impressive bit: when you close the cover the phone screen adapts its display automatically so you can see the clock and whoever calls or texts you through the little window. You can even answer the phone without opening the case, just swipe accross the window ... Same applies for music, you can change tracks by swiping over the window.3. Lack of clip/magnet : I was worried about this but it's a snug fit for the P9 and ,

This is a very neat cover for the P9. You can answer calls by pushing the circle to the green icon (answer call) and likewise to cancel (the red icon) when a call comes in without having to open the cover. However, when making calls, you have to open the cover (flip it completely around using both hands) and select your contact. If you open the case, it automatically lights up and provides you with the P9 front screen details and apps. When closed, it eventually shuts itself into sleep mode. It also adds a nice weight to the P9. It's not a pure black colour, but more a dark shade of grey. I would have preferred pure black. Also, a cover with slight magnetic hold which flips down instead of across would have been far more practical,

Because it;s the official Huawei version it's a perfect fit. I especially like the front window that shows date, time, weather and call information.It feels good in the hand. My only gripe is that when you flip it back, it obscures access to the fingerprint scanner. But that's a relatively minor gripe. (see below)Update 10/02/17Having used it for a week, the problem with the case obscuring the fingerprint scanner is NOT a minor gripe any more. If you put the phone into a dashboard mount you have no way of accessing the scanner when the screen locks. And you can't put a password in when driving. So, today I bought a non-flip case to replace this one.

This is probably the best non-rugged case you'll get for your P9. The clear window is reasonable quality plastic and has resisted scratches well, though they are inevitable with time. The case doesn't interfere with fingerprint operation or camera & flash, and for those people proud of the Leica connection with their cameraphone, the Leica branding is still visible, emphasising the dual-lens of what must be one of the best smartphone cameras on the market. The clever mini-screen for notifications works so much better than early attempts at the idea, like the T-Mobile Ameo, and I can't imagine using a case which lacks this feature now.

Decent case. It protects the phone well, but the magnetic close leaves a lot to be desired. It falls open very easily. So if you were to drop your phone, there are no guarantees the screen would be protected.The window to reveal the clock is great. Use it a lot.My only issue is that it's difficult to take a photo one handed especially with your left hand. The flap gets in the way of your hand or the lens.Also, I was told by Huawei that: "Huawei does not manufacture any phone cases". So I am left to assume this is fake. Still a good case, but just to make you aware that you are not buying a legit Huawei product.

Really nice case. Feels very premium, window feature works nicely - hardware wise it's spot on, software wise Huawei could make some improvements. Phone is easily inserted and removed but not at risk of falling out.However....After having this for less than a month, it's already starting to show signs of wear at the top, from both holding and in and out of pockets. I expected the edges to be a little more hardwearing for a premium product.You will also want to take the phone out of the case periodically to get rid of accumulated dust, especially around the fingerprint sensor.

Superbly made. The leather effed feels very premium and the soft, almost flocked inside is a nice touch. Even the packaging Huawei put it in is well made. All in all a really good product. The flap folds over the screen and sits flush and can be folded behind if required. When closed, it displays the time/date and the weather together with missed calls/text notifications (an envelope icon - not a preview). You can also answer calls by touching the case window. Highly recommended.

Excellent case, fits perfectly, extremely lightweight.Nice to get a flip case that doesn't make the phone really bulky. Particularly good for this phone as its sleek and slim design is one of the best features.Case looks excellent, and makes the phone look really professional and worth a lot more money than it actually cost.You'd be stupid to not buy this case for this phone.

A fantastic case for my Huawei p9, some have stated that they've received a fake cover, on the inside and outside of the packaging it says it's an official huawei product made in China which would be correct, I don't know where they got theirs from but mine is definitely an official product. Superb product and adds a luxury feel and look to my device.
