As a female I was worried these boots would come up large as they looked quite masculine. They are roomy but fit as expected wearing nice thick socks inside. These were bought for outside marshalling events work with a lot of standing around and with three layers of socks are perfectly adequate for snow/winter temperatures and keeping completely dry at the same time. Highly recommended for women and men! They tighten up naively around the ankle giving good support and my trousers fit nicely over them
