UPDATE: These are the most comfortable boots I've ever worn! In addition to wearing v well for many miles of riding on my horseback safari in southern Africa, they were absolutely comfortable to walk in on the street and in the bush. Due to weight restrictions on small planes, they were the only shoes I had left for the last week of my trip, and now I can't recommend them enough! Raising my score from three stars to five! (Still a bit nervous about size variations, though, if I were to order again.)After carefully comparing reviews about fit, I ordered a size 9B for my 9 1/2 wide feet. They fit exactly right! Not sure if the company has quality control issues, or uncertainty about how to size its products or what.

I have bought multiple pairs of these boots. I live in them. They're exceptionally comfortable. I've used them in the barn, for riding, and for work. I can't count how many trips around the riding ring these things have made while I teach. They're not just for the barn, they look great under dress pants and they're amazingly comfortable. I buy one pair a year and wear them CONSTANTLY. They're comfortable to drive in. I wear them to work, I wear them to ride, and if I'm showing saddleseat on Sunday, I just break out the polish because these things will SHINE with a little polish and some elbow grease. Ariat has never let me down. I won't even look for another paddock boot again.

I’m a size 9B. The boots fit perfectly. They don’t pinch or rub anywhere. Good support and fit around the ankle. They have a nice sculpted, cushioned insole that cradles your heel perfectly. Roomy, sturdy toebox. (I can wiggle my toes) There is just the right amount of padding at the top, with thick, sturdy elastic gussets in the back so that the boot doesn’t chafe around the top when you bend your ankle. If you’re trying to decide between this boot and the less expensive Ariat “Scout”, the leather on this boot is of better quality (will polish up better, and looks like it will hold up better) and this boot has one more set of eyelet hooks in the ankle area than the “Scout” does.

I wear a size 9 boot/shoe and these were just too small for me. I ordered a 10B and love them. The foot area is very roomy yet I get great ankle support. I don't even own a horse. I broke my ankle and I needed something that would give me support hoping to not have to keep wearing the physical therapy boot while I rehab my muscles. That will take a long time. It is doing exactly that. If my foot should swell, I have room. I can also loosen the laces if need be. This book is working better than the rehab boot without all the clumsiness. I am very impressed with the comfort. NICE leather. I will wear these boots for a very long time!The somewhat small might just be me and a damaged foot/ankle.

I have stupidly wide feet, like "E width or more" wide feet. I am used to buying the widest shoes I can find and even so, having to go up a size larger to get into them. Then I trip over my toes and destroy my shoes in record time. It's not fun.I bought these in the 8C width, and oh my gosh, they were too wide even with thick socks! I went down a full size, to 7C, and I am SO HAPPY that I will have decent fitting boots in my REAL SIZE for once. Thank you, Ariat.PS: these boots are leather. They will conform to your foot. You want them to be very snug, almost painful, at first, or they WILL be too loose once they stretch. I have owned many pairs of western boots (though these are my first in this style)

Gene's wife writing: Pros's 2nd pair of Ariat boots I've owned. both are perfect for my wide feet and can be worn in versatile situations. Casual, semi-formal, with pants or skirts. This pair is great for hiking, church or work as a teacher. Great support, I had plantar facisitis until I started wearing these. High quality leather. no side zipper=equals superior ankle support.Con'sThe tread does pick up chicken poo really easily. This is not a concern for most people, but probably other country folks are considering these shoes so it's nice to know. They are not totally waterproof, don't jump in any puddles. HIgh quality leather took about a month to break in completely. No side zipper.

A+ Boot. Selling shoes I learned about Ariat and bought their Mule at an employee discount. Fantastic shoe, nice arch support and the classiest possible in quality and style. I worked in it untill it dropped ( about 2 yrs ). No back, knee pain or foot issues. I even climed ladders in them to get shoe boxes from the top shelf. I am now in the server/bartender profession in an old west town. I decided to try this boot because the Ariat brand is tops. It's awesome. Wide width..yeah, true to size, nice comfy comfy arch support, waterproof and skid resistant. Top it all off with a nice turn of the century look and wa la. Ariats are for way more then riding. I highly recommend.

I love my new Ariat Paddock Boots! My foot runs narrow and these boots literally fit like gloves. The arch support and ankle support are perfect for walking around the barn and feeling in control in the saddle. I was expecting quality and have been pleasantly surprised by the above average comfort.

These are the most comfortable boots ever!!. They run true to size and are so well made. I bought both black and brown. Ariats are the first boots that I have been able to wear all day from the first day. One of the best investments I've made.

Very comfortable boots. I bought wide width to accommodate bunions and these worked out great. Leather is firm enough to give support but soft enough to give. I very much appreciate that Ariya has these available in a wide width. Life saver!

Nice sturdy boot. My daughter always wears the heal out - to the inside. This heal is holding up and doing she loves these durable boots - wears them riding and everywhere else. The are not too warm for the Florida weather either.

Amazing quality boots, great leather. But if you have a wide foot, a truly wide foot with a high arch, the wide size in these will probably still be too narrow. The pointed toe despite being wide didn't work for me.

I ordered a 1/2 size larger (because of reviews), but I found these boots run true-to-size. I had to exchange my original order for a smaller size. The exchange pair came within 3 days and was perfect! Great boots!

Aristotle boots are well made and extremely comfortable. I went for long walk the first time I wore them. They are a nice looking boot so could wear with slacks for about town. Or with half chaps to ride horse.

Great! i use them for horse back riding every time i go. They hold up pretty well. After riding i come home and wash them with a damp rag just so they look good and clean after use.
