I got these in the basic green, and they are a decent garden shoe with a few drawbacks. Good for the heavier duty gardening I do in dirt, compost, etc not just weeding the flower bed (though they would be fine for that, too). I like that they fit snug but soft around the top of the foot, so nothing gets in. I felt like my feet were well-protected, and reasonably comfortable.I do think there are problems with the sizing. The left fits great, the right seemed to pinch my forefoot, was a little uncomfortable after a few hours of turning the vegetable garden, but not so much that it bothered me terribly. This is likely because of my feet, but who has perfect feet? And I feel like the size is the main issue.A half size up would have been perfect, and then this might have been a 5 star review.Everyone seemed to recommend a half-size smaller, so I usually take an 8.5 and went for an 8, and it *just* fits with a very light sock or barefoot -- I would order a 9, and maybe they would be better, but I suspect they could be sloppy fitting, and basically I needed them now, so I am sticking with the 8s.Would like it better of there were half-sizes, and when these wear out, will probably look for a Bog or something that comes in a half size.

I love my Muck Boots! They are everything that they are advertised to be. They are waterproof and very easy to clean. The elastic trim does a great job of keeping the dirt out. They are easy on and easy off (just one hand to slip on), which makes going in and out of the house much nicer. I just slip them off at the door, and after a quick break they are back on in no time. My wife really appreciates the fact that I don't track mud and dirt through the house any more. The greatest thing about my Muck Boots is the comfort. I am a 220-pound guy who does not tip toe around my yard work. I storm through it with a lot of hustle and energy. As a result, my feet usually take a beating. Not any more, with my Muck Boots my feet stay comfortable and happy all day. The ventilation is great. Even after working 9 hours in 105-degree heat, my feet remained not only clean, dry, and comfortable, but also remarkably cool. I can't say that about the rest of me, just my happy feet. These shoes are easily worth the price. They are about a half size larger than all my other shoes and boots. A thicker pair of athletic socks fixes this. Great boots, great comfort!

Where have these been all my life???Great for yard work, and incredibly comfortable. I can go from mowing, to digging, to home improvement chores, to cleaning up a yucky mess without the same worries/impossible cleanup/wear and tear I had when doing everything in sneakers. The waterproof lower is impenetrable (no more wet feet, unless you spray directly into the ankle opening), and the sole offers plenty of grip. The removable inner is amazingly comfortable; I can be on my feet all afternoon and not be footsore. The neoprene opening keeps out all dirt, and most water. I will always keep some of these on hand!My only critiques are mostly the sizing. I wear a woman's 9.5 or 10.The 10 much boot was so large my foot came out even with socks. The 8 fits close, but not snug. It's fine to wear without socks. The only other thing is that due to the water proofing, it gets kind of hot and sweaty inside the shoe, but it's a good trade off for the durability and waterproofing.

I really love MuckBoots Daily Garden Shoes. I bought these as a replacement for an older pair that has seen me through season after season of gardening. To order the new pair, I looked at the size of the old ones that fit perfectly - for gardening shoes - those are loose enough to slip on an off easily, small enough to wear with bare feet, big enough to accommodate socks. The old ones are size 7-71/2 Men / 8 - 81/2 Women. That size was not listed for the newer model of the shoes, but I have never worn a 9 so I chose the 7Men / 8Women - The European size was what I normally wear.I am disappointed that the new shoes are a little snug. I hope when the inner lining flattens with wear that they will become a better fit.I think had I gone up to a 8 Men / 9 Women, I would have been tripping over the toe. This is my only complaint and if it works out the way I hope, it will be fine. In every other way, they are great shoes.

I wish I had bought them sooner. I love them. After my old shoes began to leak in our very wet spring, I wanted a convenient waterproof slip on for general yard work and the Muck slip-on provides the best combination of convenience, fit and function that I have experienced.I wear a size 9.5, so I sized down to 9 to avoid heel slippage. Despite sizing down the half size, the shoes soft toe box makes them very comfortable while providing a nice snug fit. I am absolutely thrilled at how easy they are to slip on with one finger. I truly value that convenience, since on any given day I am in and out of the house repeatedly. The shoes also feel light to wear, but provide foot bed cushion and stability. Finally, the tread so far has provided more than enough grip in wet conditions to render slipping a non-issue. If they hold up for at least one year, I would replace them with another pair without hesitation.

The price was right but I had the fancier Mucks before and they not only fit more comfortably but also felt far sturdier. Well, that is to be expected - these are a garden shoe, and the ones I had before were more of a barn shoe. The one thing I dislike about these is that I cannot just slip my foot into them, I have to flip the back of the shoe up to get my foot in because it is far less rigid than the heel on my previous pair of Mucks and gets bent over if I just stick my foot in. When I am running out to do barn chores in the morning, I prefer to waste as little time as possible (and do as little bending over as possible). The soles also feel thinner on these so I don't expect they will last as long as my previous pairs did, which was 2 years apiece (we hike our dogs on a lot of rocky logging roads here in Oregon and the shoes take a beating). But these were on sale, and I was feeling stingy.

My husband and I have bought several pairs of the muck boot garden shoes as we have horses and chickens and need a shoe that is comfortable yet durable for farm tasks such as cleaning out the horse stalls and chicken coops. They are great for running to the barn in the rain to feed the animals. We like them because they are breathable, slip on easily and do not wear blisters on your feet like other rubber shoes do. Complaints are that they could use a better arch support and that the rubber cracks too soon (<1 year) on the upper portion where your foot flexes as you walk and the shoe is no longer waterproof after this. Manure does tend to build up in the ridged soles and is sometimes hard to remove. We have tried the Muck Boot Edgewater camp shoe but the soles are too slippery on the concrete floors. Despite these complaints we still find this is the best shoe available for our needs.

These muck shoes are great. My wife bought them. But now she thinks I'm going to go shovel sheep poo. Huh. Well they aren't that great!Maybe in the future they will invent shoes that shovel poop for you. That would be good.I like the fact that these slip right on over your socks (well how would they fit under them!) And that they are lined which makes them warm and comfortable immediately. In the morning, when the dew is heavy on the fields, these keep my feet dry and warm while I'm out doing my chores, which primarily include making myself look so busy that I don't have time to collect the herd's poop from the night before. So busy in fact that after my chores, I need a break. So I wander off where my wife can't see me and sneak back into the house to finish a plate of bacon. Then I appear magically near the animals stalls, and alls good.Stop reading this and go buy a pair.

I usually wear a size 8 1/2 so I initially ordered these in size 8 (women's). That fit quite snugly and would have worked had I not wanted to wear socks, so I exchanged them for the size 9 and I'm very happy with them. I was very pleasantly surprised at how incredibly comfortable they are - the first time I wore them I didn't want to take them off! I have a normal width foot and the width of these shoes is just fine. I wear them with smartwool light duty socks for outdoor chores and some walking as well (out in the woods at the cabin - they're perfect :-)Others have complained here that the rubber cracks after a while. I think this is an issue you'll find with any rubber shoes or boots that have some decent flexibility to them.Shoe Goo is highly recommended, although I haven't used it on these shoes yet.

We own Registered Purebred Alpine Dairy Goats and use muck boots while taking care of the goats. We have been buying Muck Boots for years and will continue to buy them until something better comes along. Totally water proof, skid proof and comfortable enough considering they are rubber. They are easy to slip on and off and you don't need to worry about laces. Even the taller muck boots (if you are looking at them instead of these shoe type) are easy to slip on and off and have the same wonderful qualities of the little shoe type. The only problem with all of the Muck boots that we have owned, is that within a year, they split where the rubber bends when you walk (on the sides),which then makes them *non* water proof! Even so, these are still worth buying.

These shoes are just wonderful. I wear them in the mornings when I walk my dog in dewy grass and my feet and socks stay perfectly warm and dry. They fit perfectly, molding themselves around the foot. It took a little while to get good at putting them on, since the aperture you put your foot into is designed to clasp your ankle and can feel a little snug to enter, but that quickly becomes second nature. I also use them when taking my dog on his last break of the night and usually just slip my bare feet into them, so having a really comfortable, smooth lining is very pleasant. I've had Muck Boots for years, the tall ones, so I know from experience that these shoes are going to go on forever.I couldn't improve on this design or the quality of the product.

I was apprehensive about purchasing this item, due to multiple commentaries about sizing not being right. Statements running from the listed size running smaller, or much larger. I even contacted the company to see what would happen if my boots arrived much larger that the stated size.Well, I just received the boots (have them on!) and they match the size that I ordered (12). There was NO sizing issue for me. My standard shoe size is 11.5, but I have one foot that is slightly larger, so a size 12 in some shoes will also work for me. I have heard that it is standard for most folks to have one foot that is slightly larger than the other. At any rate,it is a great feeling boot and I am looking forward to using my new boots--tomorrow!

I needed a lightweight, truly waterproof shoe for work in the yard and around the farm. This shoe is perfect. It's comfortable. The rubber molds nicely to the foot. The rubber on the uppers is thick, tough and doesn't scrape off or tear when I walk through brush. The sole provides good traction, and hasn't separated from the uppers. It is truly waterproof as long as the water level doesn't exceed the height of the rubber. The shoe is easy to put on and take off. They do not provide ankle support when walking/hiking distances, and the soles aren't thick and stiff enough to provide enough protection to the bottom of my foot if walking over small rocks but they weren't made to be hiking boots.I'm completely satisfied.

This is the first pair of rain shoes that I have been able to find that really fit perfectly, are warm enough for snow & ice (thank God, I just moved back from the snowy area of TN on the top of a Mountain to NW FL), and I can walk in slippery areas without worrying about sliding & landing on body. I have had to return numerous wet and rain boots because they did not fit, then there are those that I just kept & rarely use because they do not fit properly & have no arch support. I highly recommend these, I was forced to give them only the 4 stars because of my need for more arch support. I usually wear orthotics, so for me I need more arch support.I use them every morning to take the dog out in wet grass.

like them very much......been buying the original muckboots garden shoe for years....one drawback is no arch support and cant wear inserts with them so can only wear for a few hours before my feet need a rest...they are good for slopping in the mud with for sure for a couple of years then the soles wear thin and sometimes they start to crack on top of the muckshoe where they bend when you step but thats after wearing them for a few years a few hours a day.........dont like the print choices they offer.........wish they had leopard or zebra print....but the green is nice too and i do recommend the original muckboots daily garden shoe.......and the sizes do seem to run like your regular shoesize
