The curtain is good enough for the price, but there a couple of points to bear in mind. Firstly, though the seller describes it as being machine washable, the packaging and the label on the curtain both say 'Dry clean only'. Secondly, it's supposedly 'blackout lined'. It isn't. It's adequate at keeping out much of the light, and quite possibly better than average, but it certainly isn't blackout material in the sense of blacking out all light. You would have to get proper blackout lining if you wanted it to be completely opaque.As another reviewer has said, it have a somewhat shiny surface, presumably because of the fine weave; whether you like it or not is a matter of taste,

I'm generally easy to please, especially wrt home decor, which never figures high on my list of priorities. But while these are certainly great value for money, and I found the way the description spells out which is the width and which the drop in the measurements, and the exact size of each curtain, particularly useful, I have to concur with other reviewers who complained that they are not black-out - Hamilton McBride's lie, since they are so titled on the labels.However, wrt washability, the seller's description in the listing is at fault; 'dry clean only' is clearly shown on the outside of the package. Great curtains. These curtains are for the living room and I'm trying to get a good look in this room where a low quality pair wouldn't suffice. I was a little apprehensive about buying curtains online as there's only so much you can tell from the photos and you can't get a good idea of the feel of them. However, knowing that it's easy to return them on Amazon, I took a chance on these and bought 2 pairs along with tie backs.The curtains are a nice heavy weight and have backing on them. This is great as it helps insulate the room. I live in an old, cold farmhouse, so retaining heat is a priority.The blackout feature of them isn't needed by me as it's the living room,

Was a bit dubious about these looking cheap and cheerful given the cost and lack of consumer photographs/description of material. To help I took a photo of the packaging, the material and a close up of the material with my (average size female) hand to give you an idea of the texture and colour. The curtains are light grey/silver in colour with a 'sheen' though not in a cheap looking way. They have a nice soft feel and rest nicely on the floor if you're after that look. Block out light well as far as I can tell but I ran out of curtain hooks so could only judge by the one I hung. Sadly didn't take a photo during today's beautiful sunshine and it's now getting dark, however took a photo anyway to give you an idea.

Back for my third pair of these. I agree with the criticisms made by other reviewers - they're NOT blackout, the heading tape is poor quality.However they're still good curtains for the price. I need a huge size to fit the windows of our rented house, obviously wanting to spend as little as possible. There's limited choice in extra-wide ready-made curtains and most cost a lot more than these.My top tip is to add thermal linings from Dunelm. They don't do them in widths above 90" but I've successfully hung them by leaving the linings ungathered while gathering the curtains. The linings make the curtains look thicker and more luxurious,

Not truly blackout, seems lining is not thick enough but pretty good value and it looks rather elegant in our room.There are 123 slots per curtain and we put a hook every four (three gaps in between) and it looks great but does get a little short. Ended up using 64 hooks but unfortunately our pole comes with only 30 rings, so be prepared you might need some extras.All in all, I would recommend this product, but if you were looking at more than 90% blackout (I.e. Only leaking light from the edges) then I would recommend you put a cheap blackout blind underneath to enhance light blocking. 247blinds do pretty good one at great prices

I love these curtains, they're good quality and have a nice soft sheen to them. I bought the cranberry colour and was so pleased with them that I got the mink too, as well as buying the matching tie backs. The colours are pretty much as they are in the photos, the weight I'd say is medium so not thin and not thick either. I won't be hanging these for a few weeks so I can't comment on if they are true blackout but I did hold them up to the window and also bright artificial light and no light came through. So overall I'm delighted, really speedy delivery too.

Perfect for the job. The fabric is fairly lightweight – but that is good since the rod across the doorway will not take a heavy load.The variety of colours meant we were able to pick one close to the wallpaper so the curtain is very unobtrusive when pulled to the side and it's not bulky either.It provides much-needed privacy when pulled across the glass door to my mother, who is sleeping downstairs, so the blackout works.

Absolutely love these curtains, great quality, great price, quick delivery, read a lot of reviews beforehand and most people were complaining they were not blackout curtains, I have them at window with wooden blinds, they keep the sun out when it is at its strongest, so I would definitely recommend these curtains, they are lined with a nice soft cream cotton lining, I will be ordering again from this seller soon

Really quick delivery, curtains have a lovely soft feel to them and are of a good quality. Slightly greyer/silvery than what I expected from the photo, but depends on the lighting. Works well in my room which is mainly creams. I ordered 2 pairs and unfortunately 1 pair had a mark, returning was so simple and the refund was processed straight away. Great curtains and great customer service. Will use again.

Really a great value. We ordered the largest size for extremely oversized windows & they were PERFECT width & length. Agree with previous reviews they are not completely blackout but they do an excellent job. Lovely curtains & price is sooooooo reasonable even my designer friend said can't beat the price for what I got. Color as expected for Pewter but Beige set was more a light grey with beige tone.

Very quick delivery ? .They are not has dark as the picture I ordered pewter mine are a pale grey which goes better in my lounge luckily .the material is soft and a Criss cross effect .As far as black outs not sure about that I have blinds as well so it does not matter so much to me xhopefully you can see from my photo .I will be keeping mine allot of curtain that does not cost a fortune x

These curtains are a must have for those who like a quality warm and stylish curtain at a fantastic price.I am so pleased with these curtains, our old ones were light and were a nightmare in the summer to sleep, because they let the light in, these are fab, they are thick warm and stylish, a great price to. A must have I could not praise enough. Love these.

I'm actually using these in a way not intended by the manufacturer. I'm residing in a one bedroom flat, but rooms (other than the bathroom and the entrance to the living room through the halfway) are separated by arches rather than doorways. Placing curtains there has preserved privacy, altered temperatures within rooms and has led to better sleep.

135"x90"I was surprised at how good these were for the money. I have covered a 3.5m window for under £100. They are good blackout curtains with a good weight to them and a nice cream lining.Hopefully they will help keep the heat in during winter and out during the summer. They arrived on time even during these difficult times.I am very pleased.
