Not a bad tap by all means. Nothing screams cheap, but nothing screams the usual Grohe nor does it scream high-end either. For the price, there may be better. Even the Grohe logo is tiny and you barely see it inscribed which is part of the reason you may buy a branded tapQuality? Well the basics are all fine. Water pressure is fine although not amazing, the swivelling works well, the pull out is long enough and the tap looks nice. Why not 5 star? Well savings have clearly been made. For instance, while the tap is solid, the whole head and it's pullout part is plastic and very light, (although it's spray painted in the same chrome as rest of the tap so looks the same), but when you do take it out to use it,it feels to me at least like something is wrong as it's flimsy as has no weight at all. It's obvious it's not the same material as the tap and is plasticky, so I don't know how long it will last if you use the pullout daily. For someone else, perhaps an elderly lady doing her dishes one handed, and using the pullout at the same time, this could actually be a good feature rather than a fault as it's so light, so depends from which angle you look at this point. All in all this is definitely a 'safe' tap to buy if you need a pullout version, as nothing is actually wrong wth it like others that have real issues in quality, for instance, things to look out for when buying any pullout tap is - will this tap make the water taste off due to rubber in the pullout, or does water get too hot or too cold to quickly, or is there too much or too little pressure. This tap has no actual problems. Its simply a no frills, reasonable quality pull-out tap, but probably at the low end of Grohe's offerings.Update Aug 2020: still works perfectly and looks great. Seems it was an overall good buy. Finally, I know what it’s like to feel indecisive when buying or comparing products, so If you found my review helpful please mark it as such, as I really enjoy knowing my reviews helped other people make an informed decision.

Overall this tap exceeded my expectations and the instructions were relatively easy to follow. I’ve mounted this tap through a 50mm granite worktop and it works as well as it looks, superb.Included with the tap is very handy multi-fixing tool for securing the tap and its fixings, leaving me to use a couple of adjustable wrenches to fix the water connections. This is one thing to look out for, as the flexible hose connections use 3/8" fittings that are rarely used in the UK. However, my local Plumb Centre had exactly what I needed and in my case this was a couple of male 3/8" to 15mm compression fittings, job done.I fully understand what other people have said about the plastic pull-out part rinse head feeling a little cheap in comparison to rest of the tap,but I suspect the chrome plating will last as long as the rest of the tap. To be candid, I very rarely use this other than rinsing the walls of the sink, so most of its working life it will remain in place for normal use.Overall the build quality is excellent, the lever operation is smooth and the pull-out uses a long spring to help return the rinse head; this, in my opinion, is much better than some other taps that use heavy weights under the sink to pull the rinse head back. In comparison to many other taps, at much higher price tags, this is by far one of the best taps I’ve ever purchased.

The tap is manufactured to a very high quality but, make sure you have very high pressure available. I fitted my tap to mains pressure cold and hot (supplied via a combi boiler) 15mm pipework, but the flow rates are still lower than I am used to. I am afraid I do not have any specific pressures or flow rates, but the tap I removed that had 15mm copper tails and seperate hot & cold 1/4 turn ceramic cartridges worked just fine. Also the operation of the tap takes some getting used to and visitors are a bit baffled, this may be due to the fact that I have fitted it with the lever/cartridge pointing to the right to give more room on the draining side of our sink, but this means the spout outlet is also over the right hand side and I sometimes get my own arm wet.I recommend fitting the tap with the lever/cartridge facing either forward or facing the opposite side to the spout outlet. I must add that my wife has not complained so it might just be my fussiness.

I’ve had several Grohe taps and shower valves. They are always well designed. Always feels well made with good finish. The valves are always smooth to operate and seems to last very well. I can’t comment on longevity of this model but if it is like the rest of my Grohe then it should be fine. This tap’s built and finish is just as good as any Grohe I’ve own.The installation is super easy. I’ve installed several kitchen taps before and already own special tools like the long hollow hex tubes. But this Grohe doesn’t require any special tools to install! You will need adapter to covert from the Euro size hose to UK but no big deal. 2 spanners are all you need.Specific to the design of this model, there isn’t a lot of flat surface. This means less standing water leaving lime scale marks on the tap body. If you live in soft water area, you probably won’t appreciate the difference between this rounder design.

This feels so much better than the cheap kitchen tap it replaced. Once you decipher the various pictures in the instructions, it is very easy to fit, although you will need special Grohe adaptors to convert the European flexible tails to standard 15mm pipework. (The tails are not detachable that I can see.) The adaptors are available on Ebay.In operation, the spring works reasonably well at pulling the hose back into the tap though the positioning of our tap means that it occasionally gets stuck on the back of the cupboard and you have to pull the hose back manually. Swivelling the tap itself is silky smooth as is adjusting the flow and amount of hot and cold water. The finish looks good and hopefully will last.

This is as functional as it it beautiful. I've been looking for a suitable replacement for my kitchen for quite sometime. I needed one with some hight as I had to keep putting the kettle in the sink to fill it up. It is a delight to use and a lovely upgrade to my kitchen. In this case you get that you pay for although my last one was expensive and no where near the quality of this.As for fitting... my husband replace it himself...he's not a plumber in any way shape or form!... So if you're wondering as I did..can it be done at home the answer is yes. Check out a few You Tube videos first and read and re read the instructions.Make sure you have an extra pair of hands to help when levelling it up etc.

We had a much lower cost (about half the price) mixer tap with an extended reach before this, and whilst it worked, little things made us mutter every time we used it. When we pulled out the head of the previous tap, it was difficult to feed back. The handle was the wrong way around - cold at the back which meant you usually poured hot water which isn't correct. In the end, the old tap started leaking even though it's supposed to be ceramic, so we bit the bullet and replaced it.The Grohe is an order of magnitude better - not surprising considering it's twice the price. Everything about it is better. Smoother. More intuitive. Convenient. 1% here, 1% there, making for a much better result.

I recently bought this tap and here is my experience with it:Positive: Installation manual is very good, installation is very easy (did by my self), everything what manufacturer said is true about quality and easy to use, smooth leaver, nice water flow and so on... price is outstanding for that kind of tap, design is fabulous... fit perfectly in our kitchen. What do not expect for that quality is: Plastic spray head ??? For God sake, why ? :) And did not expect the length how much you can extend the nozzle. I expect it little bit more.My recommendation is, buy it, you would not regret, it worth every penny which you give, even more than that.

The previous kitchen tap was so over and poorly designed with a spray arm and a stubby main arm that only cleared the sink by 5cms so I was in many ways glad when it broke and needed replacing. This Grohe tap is so good. The plumber had it fitted in no time at all and without any trouble. The clean and simple design is very pleasing to the eye and after years of living with a stubby tap, it is a delight to be able to wash and fill anything and everything without flooding the whole surface. It works perfectly, is extremely well designed and feels very solid and good quality. I am delighted with this tap.

Absolutely love this tap. It's the best. We've always bought a specific type of pull out spray taps (3 to be precise!) so was a bit worried about changing to a new type but this is the best tap. The pull out works incredibly well. It's got a sleek and beautiful design, easy to clean...can't fault it at all. Oh as it's German made, the hot and cold are the wrong way round for us in the UK but we just matched wherever the hot pointed to so it made sense! LOVE THIS TAP! Even my dad who is very hard to please about these sorts of things has been really impressed and wants me to order him one!

This tap is top notch. It feels solid, heavy and very well made. Chunky but elegant at the same time.Lovely smooth ripple free flow from the tap, and the pull out spray nozzle works a charm. You press the small button on the spout to change to the spray pattern and release the pull-out nozzle. Can't fault it.You do need a pair of 15mm-to-12mm pipe couplers (usually the norm with European brassware anyway) but they are easy to find - Screwfix has them for less than £2.50 each.Highly recommend this tap.

We love it. Great to use and just what we wanted. Usual Grohe quality. The only problem was we needed to buy a 15 to 3/8 compression fitting adaptor which we feel should have been included as this was for sale in the UK and not Germany. This adaptor is hard to find in the DIY stores so we had to buy on Amazon from Grohe - which wasn’t supplied with the tap! It does seem strange that Grohe have the adaptor but don’t supply it and neither does it say you need it in the description.

I have just bought this tap, the Minta, by Grohe, and am very impressed by it. It outperforms the Hans Grohe equivalent, which i had before, in every respect. I had the Hans Grohe for a number of years but the chrome started peeling off, revealing the plastic shell; also the extending hose developed kinks at an early stage and this impacted flow rates.Grohe is a completely separate company from Hans Grohe. The design and build quality of the Grohe just seem superior.

Absolutely love the tap, the pull-out sprout is very smooth and easy to put back in. Also it's high and big so it makes a nice balance to my big double bowl sink but sadly I have to replace it with the lower Grohe kitchen tap because the lever can't be pulled to max hot (due to the big sink takes up all the worktop space).I only find out the problem after the installation and tested it - it gives strong water pressure though.Lovely tap I must say.

Having recently purchased a new build bungalow - purchases are hot and heavy! This tap is even better than expected from a reputable German manufacturer. Compare with other popular makes and this model wins by a long shot. Would definately recommend but do read the assembly manual carefully there are many parts in the kit. The item arrived quickly and very well packaged.
