Purchased for my iphone 6 plus.Having used an otterbox defender case for he last few years and on previous models it has been hard to find a reasonably priced alternative, when this popped up in the warehouse I took my chance.I was aware griffin make solid cases and was only worried it maybe slightly bulkier than the defender, this particular model is not, if anything its significantly more streamlined whilst maintaining that heavy duty protection look and feel.Assembly is pleasantly simply, the case is only two parta with the hardened glass front built into the top plastic layer which simply slides into the back to form the whole. The case feels exactly as it is,solid and Im certain it will hold up well if dropped or worse.Thw fitting is very flish for the iphone 6 plus model, no snagging in the slightest. The open front design shows the whole front of your phone under the protective glass not just the touch screen, this makes swiping alot easier. All port are well covered with access relatively easier, the mute switch being built into the case otself is a nice touch and means no opening amd closing of a port cover to use.The only open/close port cover is the charging point and headphone jack all under a single rubber cover, this is where my first minor gripe is. I could say its slightly unsightly when in use, as its essentially one long line of rubber hanging off the bottom of the phone, its design means its probbly more susceptible to snapping off.My biggest issie is the rubber case covering over the phones side power button. Taking pictires using this combined with home is frustrating because it requires a hard push that doesnt always register. To be fair this may give in time but it may also be because the bulk of his rubber cover is too bulky. For what I paid £9 amd what I got, definately worthy of 4 stars and it will certainly do its job

I purchased the survivor slim in black and I am quite happy with it. It feels chunky and robust, like it will actually protect your phone. The rubber material feels purposeful, although from new it feels like there is less purchase on the casing than there should be. Although i’m Sure this will wear off and some grip will appear. The 2 part construction of the case gives you confidence that your phone is suitably protected. It looks the part, but be aware: if your used to the width of your phone without a case, it’s gonna feel like your phone is 3 miles wide in your hands! The style looks good though! The cover buttons feel positively conected to the phone buttons, the gap to access the mute switch is suitably wide enough for some with podgy fingers to get in. All other apertures line up perfectly with the phone and don’t impead functionality. When assembling, you need to be firm when fitting the phone into the inner hard shell. The outer rubber casing is quite flexible, so don’t be scared of ripping it when fitting. Just don’t go Incredible Hulk on it!The negative points are that even though it says it’s been DESIGNED to MIL-STD-810, would probably not pass the test for dust ingress. For example the case edge around the home button can be lifted, which means dust and lint will get under there and same with top of phone near the ear piece and screen facing camera. The screen protector is nothing special, does what it’s supposed to, though there was no alcohol wipe to clean the screen supplied in the kit, I had some in a first aid kit and used that.I also saw this was on prime but somehow was shipped to me on one day service, that needs sorting!Other than that, i’m Happy and glad I got it at sale price! Bargain!

I bought my first Griffin case while in the Army for my iPhone 4S, it was rugged and survived for over 4 years, including 2 of those being regularly on exercise. Having just upgraded, I wanted the same thing so ordered this. It's actually quite different, no rubberised outer skin and only one flap - I'm pleased though as both were drawbacks of my previous model. The rubber would cause my pocket to turn inside out whenever I took my phone out and it wasn't a question of "if" the flaps would break but "when". The one negative about this case is that the one flap covering the charging port is quite badly designed and is attached by only a narrow strip of rubber; I can tell it is just a matter of time until it breaks off.The only saving grace of the flap is that the design of it means, when it does break off, it can be secured in place by rubber parts which are forced through the gaps in the case around the headphone and charging ports so at least I won't just have a hole in the case open to dust and dirt.Having said that, this case does not unreasonably affect the line of my tailored suit when stored either in the trouser or in the breast pockets which is quite impressive given that it offers so much protection; I would say it's almost imperceptible. I have already dropped my phone from chest height (I'm 6'2" for ref) on to wood and concrete floors and neither the case or the phone took any real damage.Overall, very pleased.

Everything about this case is great! This turns your phone into a rock that even paper can’t beat. That was cheesey and I apologise. All ports and buttons are covered and still easily accessible so great for people working on industrial sites where dust is an issue.Screen is covered without impairing call volume / quality or id scanner.Drop wise, I have dropped this from about 2 meters onto tiles and Lino and one meter onto concrete and there is no impact on the phone at all. I don’t recommend testing it intentionally but this is definitely the most rugged and reliable case on the market. If, though it’s extremely unlikely, the screen cover came off the only way to actually get the phone out is by pressing a rubber patch on the back of the case.So you know this phone can’t fall out even if you take the screen cover off!The belt clip, which also doubles as a stand, rotates 90 degrees either clockwise or counter clockwise is a great addition and even locks if you want to make sure your phone can’t possibly leave your belt.My one issue with it is that where the screen part clips to the back part of the case, when you take the belt clip on and off it is easy to unattach one of the screen clips. It’s hard to describe and not really a huge problem as 5 other clips still hold the screen cover in place.

The phone case was exactly what I wanted and was delivered very quickly, the phone case had been taken out of its packaging at some point and its cardboard and plastic were a bit bent and torn, however the phone case itself was still okay and was still brand new. The fact that the packaging had been opened did not bother me in the slightest, just as long as the item inside was ok, which it certainly was, having looked on line for this exact phone case it was far more expensive than the price I paid from here at Amazon through Hale Communications who supplied it. As far as I am concerned I would have no problems in dealing with this company again and would recommend them. The Griffin Survivor All-Terrain Case for Apple iPhone 6 Plus/6s Plus is the best phone protection one can get for the iphone and does the job wonderfully, even allowing for fingerprint touch through the plastic screen to the home button, as well as allowing for phone charging through the aperture at the bottom of the case for the lightening cable to enter in. For the money this case is the best there is out there, in my opinion that is. Thank you for a great product at a great price, my iphone is now well protected and will look brand new in years to come if I should take it out of this great case at that time, I feel sure of that.

I bought this when I bought my phone at Carphone Warehouse, so no Amazon verified purchase. I had the bulkier version of this for my old iphone 5. It certainly provided great protection, but it was very bulky. This version is slimmed down a lot and comprises more plastic than the previous version which was more rubber. This version I no longer think is too bulky. It all snaps together nice and securely and is pretty easy to fit. I have just returned from a cycle where I foolishly just attached the case to a spare cable on my bike. At some point the phone came off the cable and dropped to the floor. I was travelling at 15 mph or so and it skidded along the road for 6 feet or so.I went to retrieve it and 4 cars came along. My phone is not 1 week old and I dont have insurance on it so you can imagine what was going through my mind! The first 3 cars missed the phone, the last one drove over it. The car was travelling quite quickly so the time the wheel was on the phone was minimal, but still, A CAR RAN OVER MY NEW IPHONE 6 IN THIS CASE. The phone is absolutely fine. The case is showing wear and tear but is still fine and completely usable. Let me repeat that - A CAR RAN OVER MY PHONE IN THIS CASE AND THE PHONE IS COMPLETELY UNHARMED. If you want to protect your phone, buy this case. Simple as that!

Always been a big fan of Griffin products... used the brilliant iPhone 4 Survivor for 2 years and loved it.So now to the iPhone 6 model.I waited for the Survivor to be released before getting the iPhone 6....didn't want to risk damaging this mega expensive bit of kit as I tend to keep my phones for several years. So the case arrived and then I got the phone.I put the two together and thought **** it's not a great fit.Two things really bugged me... especially after my iPhone 4 Survivor was absolutelyfaultless. The access to the power cable port was a bit too restricted and the screen protector seemed less than flush to say the least.I reluctantly decided to persevere with the Survivor....and totally glad I did.The two "bugs" seemed to miraculously sort themselves out after a week or so.The restricted access to the port seemed to ease as the iPhone bedded itself inand the screen protector part of the case flattened itself flush also.(Could have been the heat from the phone or some other sort of Apple magic).Anyway after initially wanting to write the Survivor off and try another brand of case I am now completely satisfied. This is definately a 5 Star case.... In the end!

So the main thing you need to know about this case is that it will protect your expensive phone really well.An obvious downside is it makes an already big iPhone 6 Plus even bigger so you can probably forget about having it in your jean pocket.A not so obvious downside is the plastic cover over the screen. This is attached to the part of the case that secures the phone and clips onto the rubber shell. The cover makes using the touch screen experience a nasty one, needing as much force applied by your fingers as you needed for a Sony Walkman button in the 90s. That push instead of touch is more obvious since the fit is not perfect so you get a significant gap between the cover and the screen. It also takes out from the crispiness and brightness of the screen and seriously affects both the speaker and the microphone when on the phone, hearing and sounding almost as if your iPhone is faulty. It was affecting the iPhone experience so much that I decided to get a Stanley knife and cut around it which obviously made a huge difference. So unless you live next to a volcano (ashes) or on a tiny desert island (splashes) then you could definitely do without the transparent plastic.

I've had 2 cases from Griffin. The one for my iPhone 5 was definitely the best. It looked the most sturdiest. Although the iPhone 4 cover did the job just as well.Protection is most important to me, I feel for the iPhone 6 cover, griffin didn't want to take away from the style of the phone. The iPhone 5 cover wasn't the prettiest. There is less plastic covering the iPhone 6 case, and the rubber isn't as thick as the iPhone 5 case. This kind of reduces the confidence I have in its protection. Also a design flaw - the protective screen isn't flush against the iPhone screen. Slightly annoying but bearable for now. This case is easier to remove than the iPhone 5 case. Not totally a fan of that, cos my kids will keep removing it. Removing the iPhone 4 cover consistently reduced it's lifespan. My kids always end up breaking the flaps that cover the volume control and back camera on previous covers. Thankfully there is no cover on the camera on this one.I like the cover overall. Pretty certain it will serve it's purpose. Thankfully my youngest has grown out of chucking my phone down the stairs. This case doesn't look like it could withstand that.

Nice looking case within its class but does make the phone bulky and removes the beauty of it (as you would expect for this type of product).I feel confident taking the phone into any situation (dirty/dusty building sites, outdoor activities) without a worry. The only compromise to this safety, in additional to the bulk, is the plastic screen cover which is a bit floppy and does seem to make the screen less response and some things difficult to do (swiping the quick menu up from the bottom for example). However, this would probably be the same with any fully protected and encapsulated case so if you need full protection then you should buy this and not worry.I am going to buy another, less protective and slimmer, case (probably the Native Union Clic 360 or Griffin Survivor 'Journey') for day to day use and keep this for when I need full protection.Taking the phone in and out of the case is easy with the sliding front but you do need to be careful to line up the side mute button so that it works when the case it on.

This is the best phone case I have bought so far (I have had several). Not only because it offer great levels of protection for the Iphone6 but also because it is easy to fit via a sliding front cover; no worrying squeezing or compression required. Take care to align the buttons and it works very well. The case is not too chunky or oversized and so feels good in the hand. The surface is a mix of textures/materials so it has grip but also allows it to slide into the pocket. I could imagine wet hands might make it less grippy. All the phone cases with this level of protection have a screen cover and so some impact on the use of the screen but this one works well. The gap between cover and screen seems small and consistent. It fits the Iphobe6 very well. The buttons are very positive. The power port is always the problem area as it is used so much but this rubber cover seems to do the job. Only time will tell if it lasts. In summary; very impressed with tis one.

Bought this case for my iPhone 6 nearly a year ago and I'm so glad that I did. I stupidly in a moment of haste put my phone on the car roof two nights ago. Well the rubber outer of the case did a great job of holding it on the roof until about 40mph then I heard it rattle along the roof and then I remembered what I'd done. Normally this would be £600 down the drain and when I found it I initially thought that. The impact had made the case pop open and the phone ended up out of it put perfectly intact! Bar a very minor scratch on screen where I'd removed the Griffin screen saver bit, some time ago as I didn't really like it. Yes some will say that it's a bit bulky, but it has to be to protect the phone. My case has suffered a couple of cracks from the impact but is still ok. After I finish this review I'm ordering a new case. Should have said that this is second time the phone has came of the roof in this case though first time was at relatively low speed.

Bought 2. One for me and one for my daughter, who has had 3 smashed screens since iPhone 6s came out,and before I bought her this. My one fell 3ft to a concrete floor and is none the worse for it. My daughter has dropped hers heaps of time, and its none the worse for it. She wasn't overly happy about the fact it makes your phone bigger all round,or that you don't know it's an iPhone 6s,but as its in one piece she's got over that. A bulkier phone is better than a smashed one. Recommend to anyone as clumsy as my daughter who drops her phone at least once a day while at work on concrete floors or tiled bathroom floor. It's a great thing and does work,if you drop it. Love the clip on back for watching tv or whatever. It angles for viewing,so no more need to lean your phone up against something. Great to sit on the dash as a passenger and watch F1 on the move whilst plugged in to the lighter socket. No more holding it in your hands or on your lap. It's ace.

After taking a while researching different protective cases for my shiny new iPhone 6S I decided to purchase Griffin survivor summit. The first thing I noticed after putting my phone in the case was a terrible gap in between the screen and the actual protective layer. It took away from the sensitivity of the iPhone screen and the 3D Touch. I noticed on some reviews of the people mentioning the same thing. It's at this point I decided to contact Griffin who immediately said this was probably incorrect and that they would send a replacement case.Eight days later the replacement arrived from the US.The replacement is absolutely spot on no gap hundred percent sensitivity is back and I'm really really happy with the case.I suggest if you have the that many people have reported contact griffin directly who I'm sure will help you out.Are use my phone with confidence knowing that if the worst should happen and I drop it I have some good protection.

The best phone cover/screen protector combo I could find. It's similar to the one I had for my iPhone 4, which was superb, although a tad less sturdy. The version for the 4 was a two-part shell which clamped on front and back, then the rubber protector slipped on over that. It was excellent and when I eventually took the phone out (the only time I'd ever done so: to remove the sim card reset the phone and give it to my dad) it wa in mint condition. Not so much as a scratch or finger print. This version for the 6s Plus is really really good though. Ins read of coming in three parts it comes in two: the rubber case, which fits on the back, and the screen protector, which snaps on the front. The phone is fully enclosed, with rubber buttons to use the functions and rubber flaps to access the headphone and charging sockets.Excellent case. Despite not being as good as the one they made for the 4, this is still excellent. Tough as old boots.
