Originally I thought this was a little bit overpriced, but with negative reviews on the cheaper alternatives I took the hit and ordered it.I am glad I did, it’s a great bit of kit. It’s constructed from robust and tough plastic, which once you work out how to remove the lens cover on your go pro, is easy to fit (it comes with instructions). The interchangeable doors (In total 2 Waterproof, 1 Skeleton) are easy to change over, they just fold down and pull off. Works well. Tested & used down to 20.1m to date.I found it easy to control the GoPro on my tray and I could easily see the LCD panel.The extra back covers may be useful for the future. For now, I intend to leave the original one in place.As I'm using it on a tray and don't have a suitable case to carry everything together, I am using a velvet bag to cover the case when I'm not diving. The intention is to protect the case and lens from damage, such as scratches.Originally I purchased a housing with a power pack supplied. Sadly this flooded after a couple of uses, hence me purchasing this case. The clamp on that was very long and easy to knock.

When I first bought my gopro I didn't feel the need to buy a suit for it, since the camera is waterproof up to 10m, and since I didn't dive deep nor practiced though sports, I felt I did not need more gear. But it reached a time I did in fact, and at the time I saw this gopro super suit as too expensive and ended up buying a 3rd partie one for £12. It served its purpose of underwater casing and external protection. But yet again as I experienced more with the gopro I started buying underwater filters, and the very good ones have an attachment only for this super suit. Humm... I was thinking if it was really worth it, and as I started thinking more and more, I thought "screw it let's buy it since the price dropped to £35".

After spending that much on a camera it was a pain to spend another £50 on this but wouldn't risk a cheaper knock off (personal choice). I'm unlikely to go deeper than 10m but wanted the option and the increased ruggedness. The super suit is needed if you want to use different filters on the gopro. Buttons are easy to use and it comes with a full back door to completely seal the unit for diving and a skeleton back panel (has a hole/window) allowing access to the touch screen but I believe this compromises the waterproofing. When you update the firmware on your gopro you can use the buttons to cycle through the recording options via the front LCD screen so you can alter settings without removing the unit from the case.

Never use my GoPro without this - but I only use my GoPro for diving, and don't fancy getting the naked hero 7 black all salty.The clip/clasp is pretty solid, and gives a firm hard click when engaged, really no doubt when it's done.The plastic must be bulletproof, as many times has it been dragged across rocks, the floor, the deck of a boat or the floor of a van/truck when its been strapped to the from of my diving gear and thrown around the place.It's rated to 60m, which is deeper than I can go at the moment, but I can confirm its still structurally sound and still dry inside after a 33m dive. =)It's been battered, dropped, ground and beaten in the few months I've owned it,

Recently received this from ShopVIP for a bargain price.I was a little worried that at such a good price the housing might not be genuine - but need not have worried, the housing arrived in genuine packaging and all components, labels and leaflet inside oozed GoPro quality.If your after GP Super Suit grab one of these bargains before they're all gone.The only negative is that you still have to remove the camera lens protection cover before it will fit in the housing - I would have thought by now GoPro's R&D would have re-jigged the housing design to allow the complete camera to fit inside - I don't like the idea of having to remove the waterproof lens protector every time I want to put it in

Great protective OEM case.Comes with various replacement back panels which can ben swapped depending on the requirements of the user, and the activity undertaken.Used this when ice climbing and it easily withstood a few knocks from falling ice.Can be a easily mounted and tethered to a helmet, or rucksack strap.I've not yet tested the waterproofing of the case.The silica gel packs are a good additional purchase for use with this. I did get a little condensation build top during a recent week of use.The case does add a little bulk to the ~camera, but that is a small price to pay for the extra level of protection this offers.

Having bought the pretty expensive Hero7, I didn't mind spending a bit extra on the Super Suit and despite the price tag, it was a decent buy. The suit itself comes with 2 different screens but I mainly used the waterproof one as that's what I wanted. It was quite difficult at first to get the screen it came with off but once mastered it was easy to get the other screen on. It's a shame to lose the touchscreen facility when fitting the waterproof backing but I guess that can't be helped.Overall it was a decent buy but I do think the price is a bit steep for what you get.

I haven't used/tested this properly yet but I can confirm for anyone interested that this is an official Go Pro product and it is compatible with the Hero 7 black. Like all their products it's well made and I feel the higher price is justified.Specifically for the Hero 7 Black you have to remove the lens in order for it to fit in the suit. I had fun and games trying to do this but once I removed it it fit perfectly. There was a helpful Youtube video with tips on how to remove the lens if its being difficult.Quality product. Happy days.

I bought this Super Suit for my GoPro Hero 7 Black. I had already dropped the GoPro Hero 7 once, without any casing, and whilst the camera was fine, it prompted me to get better protection for the camera.Going with the GoPro super suit was probably the best choice, as it seems very durable, it has been dropped/bumped etc a few times and yet has not received a scratch or chip or similar.This is greatly recommended, especially if you are using it for more extreme sports.

Just received my super suit - tested it - and I'm very pleased with the excellent quality of it. It just goes to show that paying that little extra for the genuine product is always the best option. As genuine camera manufactures products go I did think that this was quite reasonably priced for an underwater housing of such quality. I use DSLR's as well and if you think this is expensive have a look at the price of a genuine underwater housing for one of those.

ProsExactly what one should expect from GoPro: high quality and perfect fit for a GoPro. Everything works fine, all buttons are easily accessible.ConsI don’t like the fact that I have to remove the lens protector of the camera every time I have to use the supersuit.As the batteries don’t last long, one has to open the super suit etc, hence exposing the camera, and exposed lens, to the elements, i.e water, dust, etc.

Happy with this! Couple of spare back doors included, which is a nice touch. One works without blocking the touch screen, three other keeps it water tight. My only concern is that I can see the case opposing against the screen when I'm about 20 metres under water. Hoping this doesn't damage the go pro but I guess they are meant to be tough! Much better value than my full sized camera system, that's for sure.

Even though my hero 5 is water proof the first time I took it into water, water got into it and broke it. After getting a replacement hero 5, I purchased this case to make sure the water didn’t get into the camera. The only down side is if your at a poolside and people are speaking when replaying the footage the voices are harder to hear. But if your just using this with no speaking etc, it should be fine.

I used this product on and off for 2 weeks before writing this review.I have used this whole swimming and in the sea, it’s a great quality product built for sports and hard drop protection.All buttons of the GoPro are useable when in the case and touch screen is still responsive.It’s a official GoPro accessory so Quality is garenteed and I’ve had no problems with it so I would highly recommend!
