Some reviewers have complained this is too flimsy for a sat nav case but I wonder what they were expecting? The description quite clearly says it is a soft carry case and that is exactly what it is. I would say that it is for every day use - to put your screen in the snug fitting case to store in your glove compartment until you next need it or carry it around in your pocket or, in my case, my handbag. I also bought a very good Navitech hard carry case to transport my Garmin Nuvi 2599 and its accessories by plane to Italy prior to our car rental - I felt that packing it in a suitcase or carry on bag, my Garmin needed more protection than this soft sleeve. Purchased for Nuvi 2595 LMT. If you want a snugg as a bug in a rug pouch then this is for you. It's exactly as described, doesn't add much bulk to the Nuvi but offers a decent amount of protection. It's a lovely snug fit, great quality, nicely stitched and it's made specifically for the Garmin 5 inch sat navs. Of course if you drop it from a great height then this case probably isn't going to save it (although a standard drop from thigh height may be okay). Keeps it clean, scratch free and would highly recommend.

This is much more padded than it looks in the photo, so will give the sat nav good protection (unless its dropped from a height!). My sat nav, 5", fits in very snuggly and has no chance of falling out. Whether the fabric will stretch and make it less secure, only time will tell. I would be very happy to keep my sat nav in my handbag with this cover, but it also (just) fits into a hard cover that I also bought, along with the car charger and laptop cable.

This is a very good Sat Nav. I have used it already to navigate around Cornwall and it was spot on each time. Not sure about the traffic delay information. It told me that there was a delay at Stonehenge, however it indicated <5 mins which in fact was approx. 2.5 hours. The lifetime map update is a great feature. I have updated already and it is easy to do.

I use this pouch for my Samsung Note mk1 phone. After 2 years of daily use it's still in pristine condition and has protected my phone without a single scratch.This pouch is made with the best of materials for the job and by skilled people who know what their doing.I would highly recommend this pouch for any device that would fit into it snuggly.

my only issue is it is not big enough to take the mount on the back of my Nuvi, which means i have to disconnect the device from its connection point.Im not sure this will be such a hang up for others, my concern is that over a period of time the fit on the back of the Nuvi may get a worn and not work properly due to the connection.

This is an ok item as in it does the job and keeps it from getting scratched etc, however I think in hindsight I would have preferred a case that closes. That does not mean that the case is no good, it's a nice tight fit for the sat nav which stops it sliding out and there is plenty of protection for the screen.

Just wanted a case to protect the navigator from scratches and dust, and for that purpose the case is fine. I don't think it will provide much protection against drops. If you need that there are other cases to choose from. For my purpose I am pleased with the finish, size and ease of use.

It is certainly a great improvement on a previous Garmin. It makes driving to unknown destinations much quicker and cheaper. On the downside, it gives wrong directions on to local places I know well. Downloading updates is also not as easy as stated, though Garmin's staff are very helpful.

Perfect for a slip-in cover. A bit pricey for what it is, but it seems to be good quality, and Garmin-branded. Won't give high level of protection from shocks, but perfect as a protective sleeve to keep the screen clean when not in use, and compact enough that it can slip into a pocket.

I got the soft carrying cases for my new satnav. It fits my Garmin almost perfectly, the downside is that there is nothing to stop it from slipping out. This means that if you regularly take it out of the car then you will need to watch how you hold it so the sat nav doesn't slip out!

I was after a non-bulky case to protect my Garmin sat-nav when it was stored in the glove box. This fits the bill (and the sat nav) perfectly. Give a good level of protection against scratches to the screen and the occasion drop without being too bulky.

Many of the cases advertised for the Garmin Nuvi series are actually soft slip-on cases which offer no real protection against knocks. This one is semi-hard zip-up case, which does. The hard shell ones are rather cumbersome. This is a good compromise.

looks good and protects the sat-nav. Only negative point is that you have to dissemble the entire holding apparatus, this way a relatively flat and easy-to-loose piece has to be taken off before you can put the sat-nav in the carrying case.
