I've tried a 7in and 8in version of this. 7in version (LGV700) is an improvement on previous versions; hands-free phone is restored and the screen is vastly improved. Traffic info works better through the smartphone than through the old (not very reliable) radio wire. Only complaint is that some functionality from old 7in versions has gone; it only offers two routes, like the old 580, while the old 770 and 780 offer three.As for the 8in: I bought it, had a look at the bits inside the box and sent it back without even turning it on. It has a new ball joint that's bigger than the old one and doesn't fit Garmin's existing mounting devices,

expensive 8 inch tablet running old android 6.0.1I wish garmin to release this software in play store at lower price so I can use it on my smartphone with already have data plan so nobody have to connection phone to sat nav any more to get live traffic.

I found this disappointing, on the software and the otr view not good.
