The unit arrived in good time after I ordered it and it was new as described but an earlier model. However, after a few initial problems and some help from the guys at Becker, I did manage to get the unit updated to the 2014 maps (latest issue). It then fitted straight into the holder in the car and worked from the first time that I switched it on.I then used the unit to travel to Spain and back (3500 miles) and it worked very well for the most part. The unit is easy to use and has some good features. I.E Shortest Route, Fastest Route, Avoid tolls etc! The only problems that I suffered were caused by a few new roads and a couple of 1-way streets. However,I did have a few issues with the pronunciations of the place/street names!!Overall, it was a good investment for our journey and a plus point was that when I decided to take a wrong turn or go another way, if I knew a short cut, it didn't keep saying "Recalculating" until it worked out the new route as was the case in my last, free-standing unit!Read full review...

I would not buy this at full price, but the used one I was sent was like new and connects well to the Becker site for updates if needed. The system itself is perhaps not as good as a stand alone of the same price such as TomTom but it is fully integrated with the car which is invaluable. It just clips into the tray in the glove box and configures itself no problem. Having the speed warnings turned on at all times is very useful to me as I obsess a bit about keeeping to the speed limits. It does not give full traffic flow like Google Maps which to me is the ultimate route finder but so far doesn't give speed warnings. I think though that a Merc is incomplete without the Becker Map Pilot,so buy one!

Assuming you have a car (Mercedes Benz) which is pre-wired for it this unit could not be easier to install - just slot it into the bracket in the glove-box. Before that you should register it online and make sure mapping is up to date - that can be a bit fiddly and time-consuming but well worth it.Once installed it is easy to use and more intuitive to use than some other systems. We are still exploring its more obscure functions and it may fall a bit short there but not enough to cause us any concern. Its a good buy and more affordable than most SatNavs

Having just bought a Mercedes C Class C250 Estate I was a little bit disappointed that the previous owner had decided to keep his unit.So a friend of mine said he bought his on EBay rather than spend mega bucks at Mercedes getting one.So having found one relative to the car I set about purchasing one. It's completely plug and play and find it far more better than Tom Tom and Garmin sat navy that I've previously owned. Lots of information on it for other countries as well. The only downside is that it don't show speed cameras.

This was easy to fit to the socket in my B class. However, I needed to remove it to update the software and maps using content manager, which you have to download to your PC or Mac. Mac version tricky to find. Once updated and reinstalled works well although finding ways to do things like stop navigation is not intuitive and I've had to refer to the manual (also downloaded) several times. Now I'm getting the hang of it I like it and it's certainly accurate and finds the satellites quickly.

Difficult to understand why there are some bad reviews on this. I've bought an 8 month old one on eBay. Easy to use - in fact simple. Plugged it on switched it on and it was instantly ready. I have since downloaded Becker Content Manager to my Mac (yes Mac) - backed the unit up should I need to restore it - updated the Firmware and Software then downloaded latest maps 2016/17 for €89 ( about £74). It stands me at £240 so less than half price and bang up to date. Well pleased.

easy to use through vehicle controls. useful function in that it only allows you to select letters in known place names when entering destinations. Disappointing that it doesn't know all the place name, then you have to select by location using cursor.Overall it is a good installation saving something being stuck on the windscreen.Mercedes (the voice) is very polite, even when exceeding the speed limit, an option you can set.

18.4.2018

Easy to installl, slip into slot in glovebox and it fires up, extensive range of settings and clear maps, one setting nags every time you exceed speed limit by your chosen amount, might have to change this to extra 10 MPH.Overall the unit is very good and can be set to however you like it. Contrary to what others say it does accept full post codes, this with voice command make route setting easy,Looks good so far.

My C class Becker sat nav kept loosing its memory and refused to switch on when selecting it on the dash button. It would boot up if ejected and reinserted and a few times got me lost due to errors randomly appearing. I fitted a new battery and all has been well since, the price was the best I could find anywhere and as I had bought from this seller before I was confident that it would be genuine and do the job.

Easy to use. Doesn't take postal codes which would make it better. Maps need updating and cost £70 for latest versions.Integrates well with Mercedes SLK. Like the feature of providing Lane images in between the speedo and rev counter. Makes it safer and easier to read.Overall good, but Tom Toms probably better but then you'd not have it integrated with the car which is why you'd want to purchase a Becker.

This unit is so easy to install and use - there is a special shelf built into the glove compartment of the Mercedes and this unit literally just clicks into place, press the Nav button and after a short delay whilst the unit downloads the necessary information and you are away, its really intuitive to use albeit the instructions are useful for the idiosyncrasies of the systemHighly recommended.

Was slightly concerned about buying one of these as I had read bad reviews , but thought sod it I will risk it cause I didn't fancy having a random sat nav on my dashboard, so so glad I took the risk cause it is fab, have had no problems with it (touch wood) it loaded off the PC with no problems before installation into MercedesGood clear voice and clear directions NO COMPLAINTS.....

Bought the product to install in my wife's car, product was just what I wanted and a reasonable price compared to other sellers, easy to install into car, excellent down load information and updates on website and security settings.would recommend product to other user's and would buy again if requires to do so.easily to install and the Nav is easy to update if requires,

I recently bought a 2012 Mercedes C class but it did not have sat nav fitted. I did not know then that all post 2011 Mercedes have Harman audio systems fitted and THEY ARE PRE WIRED FOR BECKER SAT NAV. Just plugged the Becker Map Pilot in the socket in the glove box and within seconds the Sat Nav and I were talking to each other. FANTASTIC PRODUCT.

As others have said, the unit is not as technically advanced as the latest stand-alone or smartphone systems but the clincher for me was seamless integration with my SLK200's audio system and steering wheel controls. The only feature I'd have liked which doesn't appear to be available is a readout of 'true' speed, but this is a minor issue really.
