We bought this for our 2.5 year old daughter for Christmas. She had never used the PC before so had no idea about mouse control etc. Two months later she is making good progress, she is able to do one of the games "peekaboo" totally by herself and will have a good stab at the others. She can now use the mouse to move to where she wants to be but hasn't quite got the hang of clicking on what she wants yet! One feature of this DVD is that if the child does nothing for a while, it will move onto another game for them to try, so if your child has got bored with one thing, something new will come up. This can also be a downside though as my toddler found out when she left it to go to the toilet, and came back to find the game she had been playing had vanished! There are games for letters, numbers, shapes and colour, and music, and all the time they are learning valuable mouse control skills too. Many of the games can also be played by hitting keys on the keyboard randomly, so even if your child can't get the hang of the mouse they can still enjoy playing the games. I think this is a good first PC game for a toddler and excellent value for money.

This is an excellent product with great simple graphics and lovely songs and music for toddlers learning to use a mouse. For those running windows XP, this software will not run from the CD as it requires a 256 colour mode. The solution posted below regarding right clicking on the program and adjusting settings under the compatibility tab does not work as the latter only applies to installed programs on the hard drive. This software does not install - it runs from the CD. The actual fix is a 1.2 MB patch at the publisher's web site [...] (When at the web site, you will need the product id number which is ESS354/D).Have fun with the software - it is great fun!

Bought this for my 2 1/2 year old after he'd had difficulty getting the hang of the mouse with other pre-school games. Within 10 minutes he'd made more progress than during all the time spent on other games. A good range of entertaining games with plenty of interaction (voices have English accents too) which require various degrees of mouse control (from sweeping the pointer across the screen to clicking on individual items).Very good as a first computer game, with enough content to keep them interested once their skills develop.Only negative is you have to manually set a low screen resolution on your system before running the software.

My daughter was given this for her 2nd birthday. She could not use a computer atall and did not know what to do with the mouse so the first few times she had a go at this I spent most of the time showing her what to do. Having said that, in the space of three months she has learned to use a mouse, not just the movement but clicking as well, she can count to ten, recite the alphabet, use the keyboard and has had lots of fun in the meantime. It really is amazing how much of a difference there is in her in such a short time and I know most of it is due to her using this program. Highly reccommended.

For the last year our, now, 2 1/2 year old boy has enjoyed this. Initially, it helped speech by asking for characters/animations to be clicked. He then surprised everybody by taking the mouse and doing it himself. He'll quite happily sit and drive the software now. His eye/hand, mouse/keyboard, vocab, shapes, colours, counting, singing etc has come on in leaps. There are some quite catchy tunes as well so beware you might be caught singing them in the office.

This software was originally bought for a 2 1/2 year old. Since then it has been enjoyed by children aged from 14 months to 5 years old. The younger ones enjoy "feeding the dog" and "hide and seek" as these only involve moving the mouse. Other activites involve clicking the mouse on an item or using the keyboard, which suits more 2 1/2 and up, depending on child. Highly recommended though, maybe more 'mouse movement only' activities could improve the product.

We bought this for our 18ish month old little boy, and within weeks he mastered moving the mouse and clicking. He has so much fun and at the same time is learning a lot of words. He is now just over two and is very confident with the computer and mouse, and he knows where his favourite characters are and clicks on them like a pro. His hand eye coordination is amazing.I wholeheartedly recommend this software for all the little toddlers out there!

My 2 and a half year old had already mastered using a mouse playingdownloaded games and so got to grips with this software easily. Itprovides a great selection of interactive games that encourage learningthrough 'play' whilst also developing computer skills. Prizing mydaughter from playing this on the computer was the hardestpart....Would recommend this software for it's easily understandablegames, fun music and quality of graphics.
