After years of using a puppy extending lead for my small Yorkie, it got damaged and we needed to find a replacement. I wanted to get one that was a little bit longer so he had more freedom to move and this one had good reviews so decided to try out. This lead has been dropped numerous times, used every day and is still going strong. The handle is nice and easy to use and the lock function is easy to either encourage your dog to return to you or permanently lock the lead so it shorter. It’s nice and simple, my daughter has no issues using it and she is eight so nice and simple. The clip is quite big so if you had a very small dog such as a Chihuahua, you may find that the clip is a little heavy for them and rests on their back but my Yorkie is just over 3 kg and he doesn’t seem to have any issues with it.There is a small bit of tape between the clip and where the lead starts and then it turns into a cord which I actually find much easier than tape-based extending lead. As I only have a small Yorkie I’ve not really needed to question whether the cord is strong enough but I’m not sure how strong it would be against a large breed dog but I’m sure there is more information about that in the listing. We are very pleased with our purchase and it’s lasted without issue

This was my first experience using a retractable lead, whilst walking my little pug. This extension lead turned out to be just perfect!I have many difficulties with arthritis in my hands, but I found using this flexi lead super easy to hold and using it couldn’t of been easier.Super easy to hold and push slide forward, to lock length, push forward to release unlock, lead then becomes retractable.Within a couple of days I felt completely confident in using this extendable lead.We have many green areas, we frequent regularly this really is perfect as gives my little pug that extra bit of freedom, and I don’t have to worry about him running off.I found this lead extension to be of excellent quality, the cord is thin but extremely strong.Iv been using this extension lead for about 7 months every day and there doesn’t appear to be any signs of wear. And fits perfectly onto harnessSuper quick delivery I would order again and happy to recommend to others.Excellent value for money.I would like to add this retractable lead should never be used to contain a dog to its garden.A bored dog will chew through cable, or may become injured if dog gets caught up in cable.Thank you for reading please click helpful.

Purchased this lead mainly for its very handy flexi multi box you can purchase separately. I previously had a cord lead which was constantly getting tangled and suffered several burns as the dogs so happily insisted on randomly running off or round my legs! I found this tape design actually helped, less tangles, less burns. As for this particular design, besides having colour swatches that just about suit anyone, the major advantage I found opposed to my previous leads, is the lock function. Its excellent, so simple! one button, simply push it forward or pull it back, no more panics and no more burns from grabbing the cord/tape when the dogs run off and the lock doest kick in!Hence much more relaxing walks :)I use this lead with a coupler for a French bulldog and Shih Tzu. The only problem I had was when the dogs pulled hard the coupler extension slipped out of lead once or twice. But I put that down to the coupler, as the ring was quite thin. I have since purchased a coupler with a thicker ring and not had the problem since. Other than that, the lead is a sturdy build for use with both dogs simultaneous, and ergonomically, the lead is a pleasure to use. I would not hesitate to recommend this product.

I got this lead for my house cat, yes a cat! He was a stray before we rescued him and we’ve not felt comfortable letting him roam freely outdoors and for the reason we live in an area with very busy roads and sadly a lot of cats get ran over around us. I don’t take him for walks but I wanted to let him have free rein of our garden without being able to put himself near danger. This lead gives him the chance to explore and enjoy the outdoors!Anyway, to the product review! The lead itself is really good quality and the line on it seems very durable which makes me confident it’s not going to break. I ordered the one for small dogs which is more than adequate for my Maine Coon. The only slight criticism I have about this is that the lock button on it feels a little flimsy to lock the lead, but this may be because it’s for small dogs who don’t have much strength. However this isn’t really an issue for me as I don’t plan to use it I just wanted to let my cat free roam whilst still restricting him from main roads that are all around our garden fence.

I bought two of these for my two Jack Russells. It's perfect for my chubbier dog because she doesn't venture too far away from us when we walk her. The other doesn't like being on a lead at the best of times, so I probably should have gone for a longer one for her. But that's not the product's fault. The lead itself seems a little thin, but then I've not had any problems at all, even when the dogs are pulling quite hard on it. The lead does occasionally lock on its own (without me turning the lock on), which is a bit annoying, but usually a bit of fiddling with it will get it loose once again. All in all, and for the price, I'd recommend this product and would buy it again.(I've currently owned it for several months and had no issues)

The product is good, for me the handle is a little too small to hold comfortably and impossible with even the thinnest gloves on. I do not have big hands by any means but I’d suggest this is better suited to ladies and gentlemen with smaller hands. The quality seems great, matches that of the model I’m familiar with (I think they’re called flexi) however the lead locking system is more complex and fiddly than my flexi model. It is much smaller than the flexi model I’m used to so if you go to the park and let your dog off the lead this is great because it fits in your pocket easily unlike the normal flexi model .TLDR if you have smaller hands definitely buy this lead, if you have normal, larger or gloved hands, buy the normal model.

I love my new lead, i have a small scotty sized dog and i just wanted a small and lightweight retractable lead, all my others have been realy big expensive and heavy but certainly not better quality, this 1 is great, its the best 1 ive had out of many, its realy lightweight and small and strong, the brake button is strong and workes great which was another important part 4 me as my dog can be realy strong and pulls realy hard when he see's a familiar person or dog he likes, he gets so happy he would just try 2 cross the road without a thought and the break button stops him sharp, i love it, i wish id just gone 4 a cheaper 1 years ago,

I ordered size S-M and my dog weighs around 14 lbs. The lead is very thin and I'm not yet confident that it is strong enough to stop him running in the street because he tends to pull a lot when he gets a scent. Time will tell. At the moment I use the lead on its shortest distance when crossing the road because the lead is at its strongest point there & then when in a safe area I use the lead to its fullest extent. I would recommend getting a L size if you are in doubt whether it's strong enough to hold your dog.Otherwise, the lead is easy to hold with medium sized hands and expands and retracts easily and smoothly.

Absolutely brilliant lead! My dog (25kg) tends to pull at times when he's excited but seen no issue with the lead. Also love the fact that the tape can rotate almost 360 when it is coming in or out so it's not getting stuck. Seriously trying to persuade hubby to get a couple spares just incase although don't think we'll need any!! It's much lighter than any other lead I've had before so another great feature. If I had to say something to balance my review it would be I would love the colour purple but it isn't in the range - not a deal breaker in the slightest!!!

I was a little apprehensive about this lead after reading some of the reviews however I couldn't be more pleased with it. I have a 7kg king Charles and it is perfect for her. I like the subtle pink spots which mean my partner is happy to use when he is walking her alone and it is comfortable to hold, I can place all fingers inside the handle as can my partner, I know others have commented it is too small however you would have to have enormous hands for it not to fit. I am very pleased with this and can't find any fault whatsoever, fantastic price too.

After losing one of our rescue dogs whilst doing recall training, we just didn't want to take the chance again. I've always been against these leads as most people don't use them well ie let their dogs rrun into the road etc. Both of my dogs are large and strong but these are holding well and are giving them freedom to run and play whilst giving me peace of mind. Just be careful you don't grab the cord as I got a very bad rope burn but that was my own fault. Really pleased with these. Easy to handle even with two in one hand.

The best thing about this lead is the lock feature. It’s so much easier and comfortable to use than the other makes where you have to push a button down. I find that using those is difficult when you want instant control over your dog moving away from you or reeling him back in. This is great quality and locks temporarily at the simplest touch of the buttons where your thumb naturally sits (and I have big hands) and when I approach a road and need to lock the length I slide the buttons accorss and it locks and unlocks easily.

I have rated this a four star because of its cord. It holds great, it looks good but for a puppy it doesn’t work well. A puppy is skittish, exploring the new world and when it’s extended and you want to pull them close and quick it’s like a fishing line, it’s so thin!! When she is older and more controlled i’m sure it will be great but I don’t feel an extended lead with a cord this thin is safe for puppies!! I wish I had bought a belt cord so I could have used it from when she was younger.

Exactly what I wanted.I live on a main road, and my cat loves to go outside. In order to keep him safe I prefer to have him on a lead in the garden. This lead allows him to wander across most of the garden while I secure him to a fence post. It clips on nicely to his little harness and I'm happy to leave him outside to look at the birds. He's only a small 4kg cat so this is definitely strong enough to hold him. Feels nice and secure, not flimsy at all. Very happy with this product.

I got a springer spaniel from the dogs trust (I know crazy decision) shes nuts she spent her first two years of her life locked in a cage and treated badly. So now every time we walk her she goes nuts spins around you running as fast as she can. I brought a expensive lead and it got tangled twice and lasted two weeks. I brought this product a couple of months ago and haven't had a problem since. Probably didn't need to write all this but hey I'm bored on a train... Just buy it
