The pivoting light combined with the (strong) magnetic base make this a versatile light source. However, I would question the claims made the in description about its light output. I have other other torches of around 100/150 lumens and appear far brighter than the 300 boasted of this torch. Furthermore, the lens is a prismatic type, diffusing the light over a wide area, not very far, 4 to 5 meters max and unable to project light as a beam. The switch is a 3 stage device - press once for on at full brightness, again for a lower level of light and a third for off. Surprisingly bright on highest setting and if you hold the button it slowly depleted the brightness so you can have a custom brightness, at least until you turn it off and it resets. Great feature that means you can conserve battery by only having as bright as you need.There is a very strong battery in the base so you can stick it to the wing of your car whilst you change the tyre. I really wish it had the clip on the back to attach it to a rucksack like on the mini ones. Then it would be almost perfect.Almost perfect because the head does swivel but it is not very tight so it wobbles about so you can only set a rough angle for the aim of the light, which is a bit annoying.

This powerful 300 lumen handheld torch has a wider beam giving a greater dispersion of light, so it would be extra useful for illuminating a garage or any dark room. It's 30 lumen lower power beam is perfect for illuminating smaller areas and its lower beam would not disturb someone sleeping, for example.The torch base has a strong magnet which can attach the torch to any metallic surface. My husband and I are well pleased with it. Good price, too.

I have another version of this Energiser torch which I like so I decided to by this one as a spare. It is equally as good. Compared to very expensive torches claiming extra brightness it competes very well and is the brightest I've come across. I think it is very good value for money and I would buy again.

Good product idea but every time I switch it on about 20 seconds later the beam seems to stutter slightly and stone a bit. Not sure if this is just my particular torch or a fault.Anyhow I can live with it and delivery was good.No problem with the seller though.

I have now bought 3 of these having lost the first one to my Son In Law who is a mechanic. They are perfect for keeping in the car, especially being magnetic for working under the bonnet. Very bright and dimmable. Good piece of kit all round.

The size is good and the light is very bright but comes with a lower setting, the magnetic bottom is powerful and really helps. The rotating light part is just great also i mean this is just a top very portable torch. I bought 2 in the end.

Used this will doing some work on the house, under floor boards, in tight spaces etc. Very handy having the swivel head and 2 brightness settings. The magnetic base was especially helpful

With head that turns with two brightness of the beam and magnet at the bottom you can reach any pleace at perfect angle. Great value for money
