We looked for an efficient cool box that worked better than our campingaz electric cooler in really hot weather (it acts as a coolbox if used without electric for just half a day unless packed with ice blocks, and then they need changing every day to keep milk or meat fresh). We bought the Dometic on the promise of keeping ice for up to 10 days but it has proved to be a disappointment. When packed 30% full with ice blocks they start melting after just 24 hours (26 degrees ambient) and only one or two are still part frozen after 2 days. To get anywhere close to the makers claims this would need to be stored I'm guessing at ambient temperatures of around 20 degrees and packed full with ice.
