Love this bag. The pattern and coloring is exactly as pictured. The material is extremely durable feeling, and the zippers are very strong, they don't seem to be in jeopardy of breaking when I shove too much stuff in the bag. For the amount of things that I can cram into this bag, and the brand name, it was a great price. The different straps are particularly helpful, the small handle on the side, the shoulder strap, and the two shorter handles that can bee velcroed together for easy carrying. The side pocket is pretty roomy and can easily fit several pairs of sandals, maybe two pairs of shoes, you could do a bunch of DVD's in there, a nice separate pouch for undies or bathing suits,

I purchased the 31-liter size in the "Alana" print and it is fabulous! It is a great size and shape to hold a lot of stuff without taking up a lot of space. The 31-liter is definitely small enough to use as a carry-on bag on an airplane, but you'd have to check the dimensions on the larger sizes. It will also make the perfect gym bag or weekender. I am traveling to Hawaii for 5 days and am only bringing this bag and a large tote purse. I'm a light traveler and the clothes are on the lighter side for a beach vacation (shorts, tank tops, bikinis, flip flops, etc.). The interior is surprisingly roomy considering how compact it looks from the outside. The print is beautiful and the colors are vibrant.

I purchased this for my 9 year old son who is very into surfing and tropical destinations, and he really loves the Da Kine brand because the backpacks last so much longer than everything else and they don't rip and fall apart after 9 months of school. I got this to be used as a karate bag to hold his binder and uniform as he is very involved and attends several times each week. I like that he can put his shoes in the side zipper pocket while he is training and his clothes fit well inside while he is in uniform. He was very excited when he saw it and for him it's like having a proper sized gym bag (my son is on the smaller size, 15% percentile height wise) and it's perfect for him to carry.

Dakine is Awesome! This is the perfect size for an airline carry on -- 31L, 19x10x11 -- within some airlines' 45 inch limit. It does not have an internal zippered pocket, which doesn't bother me because it does have that handy good sized end compartment. I'm thinking of possibly a quicker TSA search if it comes to that. No need to slow that line up.I like the textured, black on black pattern on this bag, and the red adds just enough style element. It's not big enough to get too heavy, but it has handles on both ends as an added convenience if that becomes a useful way to hoist it. The padded shoulder strap caps it all off. All good!

I love this bag so much. Before my son was born, I wanted a duffle bag for travel that would fit more than just my things, for consolidation purposes. This way when we travel as a family, I can fit both mine and my son's things all in one bag - with even some of my husband's things in it too. It's very sturdy and has held up well in the 2.5 years I've had it so far. The shoulder strap pad has a "sticky" material on the underside of it that helps it stay on your shoulder, as opposed to slipping right off. It's also thick enough to appropriately pad your shoulder, should you fill the bag to the brim! I also love the style of the colouring, having opted for the multi-colour striped scheme.

I purchased this bag for my daughter's kung fu equipment. She is 8 and needed something large enough for her gear that she can carry herself. It holds her clothing, nun chucks, sparring gloves, and sparring boots with plenty of room to spare. The side pockets are great for a water bottle, snacks, and even a pair of shoes. My daughter loves the subtle print with teal accents. It is feminine without being girly, which fits my finicky child perfectly! And what could be better than pulling a pair of nun-chucks out of such a pretty bag?This bag seems sturdy and well made. However, I am taking off a star because the connections on the shoulder strap are plastic,

I bought this bag for a weekend wedding trip out of state. I pack light anyways, but this fit everything I needed for my weekend trip along with a stuffed animal puppy for my niece. I didn't want to carry-on and this fit perfectly under the seat. The inside liner is a durable rubber which I think will be perfect in the winter for my ski boots. The shoulder strap has a nice thick pad as well. There are no inside pockets for storage but the side pocket worked great for my toiletries and immediate access items. The entire bag folds into the side pocket as well for easy and small storage. I looked at a lot of other bags online and decided to go with this one based on the reviews and am glad I did.

Perfect size. Big enough it can fit a whole weeks worth of clothes plus a pair of shoes and my toiletries bag and it is still small enough to take as a carry on bag on the plane if you pack all items that are allowed as check on. It’s super light weight so when traveling you don’t waste weight limit capacity with just the bag but it’s also durable enough to check on and get beat up by the airlines baggage handling. I’ve had the next size down for about years and I traveled with it 1-2 times per week and still holding up great (got this one as that one was a little small) the only real thing I’d like to see is either a second separated zipper section on the other end,

Good strong well made soft bag, 31L is a good size, about the max, as a girl, I would want to easily carry. Has a soft same material padded section sewn in as part of the shoulder strap. Maybe just me but one of the photos for this colour way (Kalea, soft turquoise) looks as if one of the side panels is a different colour/Dakine written on it & its size - that's the inside of the side pocket - the bag is entirely the colour as shown. As other reviews state there is no extra padding to the base, just the material. The bag arrives folded up into itself, very neat, but means when opened out its rather crushed, needs to be used a few times for it to look as per photos. No inside pockets,

This bag rocks! When you get the package, you think there is NO WAY this can be the right bag. This is cause the bag folds in on itself to the size of small pizza with a handle to boot. However, when you open it up; it is every bit of the 74 liter bag which you paid for. This bag is great for the week long vacations or families that pack alot of "extras" when traveling! For me, I found it a bit too big for a weekend trip; so I will be purchasing the next size down for this (51 liter). Also, I will probably purchase the 31 liter for carry-on. The construction is solid and the zippers are not like the cheap ones that you get on every other bag. I look forward to using this for years to come.

I'm such a sucker for Dakine - they just do EVERYTHING right. This thing is so much bigger than you would think just looking at it. Really well constructed, sturdy, and you can fit a TON of stuff in it. Easily a full week or two worth of clothes and toiletries. I love that it folds into itself, too - so convenient for storing when I don't need it. I ordered the larger size as well, which is great, but it was a little TOO big to be practical for my regular use so I returned it for this size instead. The 51L is my new go-to duffel for traveling. For 3-season weekend trips, I could probably fit everything both me and my partner need inside, and it still isn't terribly big or heavy.

I was looking for an everyday gym bag that I could use at my university gym. The quality of this gym bag is awesome (besides the plastic strap clasps). Unfortunately, I had to return this bag simply due to the fact that it was larger than I needed it to be and the shape didnt work with lugging my backpack around also. If your looking for a duffle bag for a long day at the gym with minimal pockets I would definitely recommend this.Helpful Note: although not much of a difference in size I ordered the Adidas Fearless Club Bag since it has organizational pockets within the bag and a shoe compartment. Definitely something I can carry all day on campus comfortably.

Bought this bag for a 5 day trip (warm weather) and it had much more room than I had expected. I also found it really neat that it collapses and zips into itself for easier storage. The only 2 things I'm not super fond of are it's absence of any interior pockets at all and it's absence of any protective padding (although I have to admit, I read the reviews in advance, so I already knew what was coming). I am certainly quite a fan of this colorway though. After considering it's overall value and functionality, this duffel bag is the PERFECT carry-on luggage and/or week-long bag and will be accompanying me on all of my future trips anywhere.

Love Dakine bags and this one is no exception. Originally ordered the 51 liter size for my swimmer who often needs to carry 7-8 towels, plus clothing and supplies. The 51 liter was too small for what she needed so we returned it and got this 74 liter beast. It is AWESOME. Gigantic bag, extremely well made as our three other Dakine backpacks have been, and I can attest it will, in fact, fit a small child (plus his full size blanket) inside! :) In fact, it almost fit my 5'2' 14 year old child inside as well. Our first Dakine backpack was purchased 2 school years ago and still looks new despite heavy daily use. Do not hesitate to buy.

I was really excited to get this duffel, since it matches my Dakine luggage set. Overall it is a good bag. It comes folded up within its self, so its convenient and small. Opens up pretty easily and quickly took shape. It is much larger than I imagined, which is great! I just packed for a weekend trip and was able to fit 3 outfits, pjs, a pair of Uggs, another pair of shoes, a sweatshirt, and all the necessities of a woman, with ROOM TO SPARE. The only disappointment is that there is the one side pocket and that's it. I wish it had another outside pocket or maybe even a front one. Other than that, no complaints so far!
