Finally an adapter that let's me use a 2nd monitor with my macbook.For my setup I have used this adapter with a dvi-dvi cable alongside a dp-dvi cable for my mac.I had trouble getting this to work initially but I contacted Startech via their online chat, someone called me back and talked me through the installation and changing the laptop settings til it worked. Amazing customer service!!Thank you so much! A huge help whilst working from home.

If you want to extend your desktop real estate to another monitor and don't have the output this USB connection will do the trick.Be aware though that some video playback like streaming video does not play well on monitors hooked up through USB. Plain documents, email etc are fine.

I have tried various adapters with a surface book pro 4 and small "brick" docking station. this is the only one that works.2 dvi to mini-display adapters and 1 usb2dvipro2 and I have 4 screens all running 1920x1080.

It is just a wire, it can't we that amazing. But I have a 2010 IMAC and wanted two monitors added to it. It seems to work fine. A little lag time, but that is to be expected because it isn't the dedicated video port.

For the price, it's been great. Make sure you go to their website directly to download the drivers for Mac or else you'll be pretty frustrated. Works great for both my Mac and PC

Worlds well on a Macbook Air once drivers were installed. Video is choppy, I wouldn't recommend watching a video on the monitor but it can run office applications well.

Replaced a previous version I already had, a little glitchy on initial startup but has worked great for 2 days since. Great product easy to install.

Bought for Mac OS X dual monitors. Worked perfectly! Drivers easily installed from included CD. Couldn't have been easier. Excellent product.

DisplayLink technology is great, especially with my Lenovo.There are also drivers for my Macbook, so I can use this for both machines.
