I guess the biggest compliment I can pay this Cressi Kid’s Snorkel Set is that having seen the kids' one now I want one for myself too! I’ve already got a pair of Cressi swim goggles and was impressed by their quality and thankfully they maintain the same quality levels for their children’s items too. The mask has twin tempered glass lenses with UV protection and they’re surrounded by a soft silicone skirt that conforms to the shape of your child’s face well. The mask is meant for ages 6 to 12 but with the six-year-olds in our family it’s quite a big fit - it's watertight but there’s certainly plenty of room to grow into, so older kids shouldn’t have any problem. It covers the nose too which obviously discourages (ie.totally prevents) the wearer breathing through their nose and makes them use the snorkel instead - it’s really no more unnatural than wearing a nose clip but it can make the inside of the mask steam up quicker. The straps are thick and soft and easily adjustable using ratchet-style clips on each side of the mask. You tighten the straps simply by pulling the loose end through the ratchet and you can do this with the mask in place on your head, there’s no awkward buckle or clip to fiddle with. To loosen the strap you lift the little branded 'Cressi' clip on the side of the mask and pull the strap back through - you can do this while wearing the mask but it’s a bit easier when you aren’t.The snorkel is made from firm but slightly flexible plastic and has an adjustable clip that fixes it onto the mask strap. The soft silicone mouthpiece is also quite large and a real mouthful for our six-year-olds, although once they got used to it they were fine. At the top the splash guard aims to keep water from getting down into the snorkel and works quite well. When I was very young I tried a snorkel which had a sort of valve on it which sealed the top when it was submerged - it ended up giving me a real scare because it sealed my airway when I wasn’t expecting it and it put me off snorkels for years. This simpler splash guard is much better and more intuitive, you’ll naturally just blow out any water that gets in and you’re never left wondering where the air supply went. If any water (or drool!) does collect in the snorkel it has a soft silicone purge valve at the bottom and you just push it to one side, it flexes in any direction, to release the water and clear your passage again.As mentioned, the set is sized quite large and Cressi’s suggested age range is probably about right, kids younger than 6 would probably be too small for it to be comfortable. The generous size does mean the angle of view out of the mask is good and i doesn’t seem to need to be worn too tight to get a waterproof seal, the skirt is soft enough to work for most faces. The quality feels great and with a little care it could last for years - the glass lenses should be relatively immune to scratching but I wish they were more resistant to steaming up. The mask works fine on its own too and the nose cover actually helps kids who otherwise would hold their nose underwater, building a bit of confidence. It’s maybe slightly pricier than some competing snorkel sets but it does deliver the quality to justify it.

I got this mask for my five year old daughter and we tried it for the first time today in an indoor swimming pool.My first impression is that the mouth piece on the snorkel is too big for her as she seems to have trouble staying underwater without getting water in her mouth. This could also be attributed to the fact she kept smiling as she was so excited. I'm not marking it down because obviously she'll grow into it.The mask fits as well as can be expected. It let's in a little water but I think with any mask like this it's hard to find one that doesn't. All you need to know is how to purge the water (look up, press on the glass between the eyes,and breathe out through your nose).This is a great set and my daughter loved using it in the pool. Now we just need to find somewhere slightly more interesting to use it!

A snorkel is about the only thing I enjoy taking with me on holiday other than a good book and some good suntan lotion, my little lad also enjoys coming out with me, I already have a Cressi snorkel which I do like, I thought this would be great for him.A fairly expensive set for a child, I’ve normally pay a lower price for one, normally from a place on the prom while on holiday.First impression are a very well made mask, everything fits well, feel is great.Fit is perfect, its tight but it has to be water tight, soft on the face.This is very comfortable, normally he is fiddling trying to get it to fit and not pinch, this is a very good soft fit.The viewing is clear, great field of view.So pleased with this,can’t wait now to take it with me on my holiday’s

The Cressi VIP Snorkel Set (for Kids) is a good quality amateur snorkelling set for kids.The set comes with a set of child-sized goggles, which fit snuggly to your child’s face without unnecessary pressure or discomfort (something my kids have complained about with previous cheaper snorkelling sets we’ve bought them). The goggles also keep the water out very well and apparently provide excellent vision underwater (so my six-year-old son and daughter say).The snorkel breathing tube fits comfortably into your child’s mouth, with the mouthpiece itself not been overly large or cumbersome.In fact, overall the snorkel set is a very comfortable to wear piece of equipment – and fits our six-year-oldkids pretty much perfectly.

NICE FIT========This is a good value mask with a silicone skirt which had a comfortable fit.FOG====It didn't fog at all, I'm not sure if there is a anti fog coating but it was very clear under water.DESIGN=======They look nice and it should be noted that it's intended for surface snorkelling not for deep sea scuba diving.SIZE====Good for children and younger teenagers.OVERALL========The mask and snorkel fit fine and they're very comfortable. The silicone seal and mouthpiece is soft and not too rigid.A tip was given to me on holiday: always rinse and dry afterwards with fresh water. This will help prevent the silicone becoming brittle and should prolong its use.

Our 10 year old uses this in the swimming pool where he does some swimming and diving classes (we're as yet to use it in the sea).The goggles and snorkel are very well made, feel sturdy and the glass looks to be real glass thus scratch free and easy to see through.The snorkel is just right, however it does not have any safety features so will take in water if submerged (just like proper adult snorkels).We very much like the quick release mechanism for tightening/loosening - this makes a huge difference when putting the mask on and off - namely it does not pull hair, does not hurt the child's face.As to size - we think this is comfortably useable up to 11 or 12 years.

This is a really neat snorkel and mask. Very well made and a good seal around the eyes and nose. It came just in time for our young one, in the family, to use it. She found it tricky to mouth breathe but managed to use it OK within twenty minutes after daddy coached her. It fitted great around her eyes and nose. The snorkel clipped on easily and M was pleased to be able to see under the water without her eyes stinging. The adjustable head strap is very good and made of a clear rubbery silicon-like material.M nearly left it at the baths, but daddy found it and packed it away for next time. I think these goggles were a hit and the snorkel is a work in progress.

Excellent set for young children. We can get this to fit my five-year-old daughter and seven-year-old son, both very comfortably, and although we haven't made it to the sea to trial this one yet, it seems to manage a good seal around the mask in the bath!There's a quick release for tightening/loosening the goggles and the snorkel seems to work well. My only reservation is that for a similar price I think it would be possible to get a similar version (also by Cressi) with better anti-splash cover at the top of the snorkel. I could be wrong about its efficacy though - we're not in a hurry to intentionally get a lungful of water.

This junior snorkel set is really comfortable to wear. Unlike other face masks we have tried over the years, Cressi masks have very soft sides; meaning they do not cause red marks on the face. The one piece style is very comfortable and the snorkel adds extra fun at the pool, or the beach.You can adjust the buckle to fit, the snorkel has a splash guard, no water leaked in and the lens do not fog. I really think this make are the best we have used. I recommend these highly and they are especially useful if your child does not like getting water in their eyes or nose, as this covers the top of the face.

Good fit for some children, the silicone is soft and the headband on the mask is easily adjustable. It keeps water out but we had some initial leakage prior to adjusting for a very tight fit for my 7 year old whereas it was fine for my 11 year old from the start.The mask appears well made and robust.We did have an issue with the snorkel valve but it appears to have resolved itself so as not to be a problem.All in all a quality product but you might be wise to try for size before you buy, not all children's heads are a uniform size.

Got for my 11 year old. She loves it.Like all Cressi googles - lovely soft silicone - comfortable to wear. A perfect seal around her face, and nose. The teardrop shaped lenses give an excellent field of vision. And they don't fog up (yet). The mask also covers the nose to keep you from inhaling water.The snorkel - soft mouthpiece, long tube with wave guard on the end. Works well.A lot more substantial than the play sets you get on holidays - this is the real thing, for kids.One happy daughter.

My 9 year old grandson said his mask was leaking, so i purchased this one as a better fit, he liked the mask but not the snorkel, which in fairness seemed shorter than his previous one, but kids can be a bit fussy, so this still gets five stars as it does what it says on the tin. It might be ok for my granddaughter later on as she learns to swim and then I can teach her to snorkel, but then it will be the wrong colour. but its no good telling children that its a good make

Tried lots of Ill fitting snorkels from shops before I reverted to amazon to find this great product for my 5 year old and I’m sorry I didn’t do it sooner. It’s leak proof which is first and foremost the most important with a beginner snorkeller and it’s comfortable doesn’t fog up and he absolutely loves it, we can’t wait to try it out on holiday in the sea and see a few exciting things other than just feet in the local swimming pool

Excellent quality mask which fits my 5 year old perfectly. It stops the water going up his nose which has given him more confidence in the water. One problem to consider however, is that many public pools (including Bentwood centre) don't allow you to use a full mast which covers your nose, due to Heath and Safety reasons. I personally think that is ridiculous and OTT.

Great for a kids first mask and snorkel. This is typical cressi quality and seals on the little ones face extremely well. It's designed as a miniature version of an adults and performs equally as good. The purge valve on the snorkel was an added bonus and will enable the little one to clear any water easy.
