When you open this you will find it comes snugly packaged in a free aluminium flask, which is a useful thing to have even if like me you don't use it to carry the tool. I chose this tool because the gold aluminium frame and steel tools looked stylish and more importantly like they would last. Crank brothers seem to think so too as they include a lifetime warranty with it!The tools were a little stiff to get out and the one I picked out would often be followed by a few others if they weren't held back. The benefit of the stiffness is that the tools stand up on by themselves and are less likely to slip when in use. I chose to loosen the tools with two 3mm Allen keys, but do whatever suits you.So to review each of the 19 tools:1-7: Allen keys in sizes (mm):2, 2.5, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8They worked very well and fit closer than some separate keys I already had.8-10: Screw drivers. There are two Phillips and a flathead. These will work when needed, but as they are attached to a large body means that it is hard to get to screws in awkward places like the front derailleur. This could have been helped by placing them as the outside tools instead of in the middle.11-12: t25 and t10 torx. I haven't used these yet as torx are mainly in disc brakes which I don't have, but I see no reason why they wouldn't work as well as the screw drivers and Allen keys.13: Chain breaker. I just used this for my first ever chain replacement and it was extremely easy to use and some friends have said it may even be better than some of their dedicated chain tools. Crank brothers say it works with 8-10 speed chains but it worked fine on my 7 speed.14-19 Attached to the chain tool there is a removable metal plate with the crank brothers logo on (see product picture). This contains 4 spoke wrenches which only label the sizes 0-3 but I assume these are the main sizes. It also has two spanners. The 10mm one is useable but the 8mm one set is inside the 10mm and I found it impossible to use it to adjust my brakes. This has an aluminium flask, t10 torx and extra Phillips screwdriver over the m17, if you are trying to decide between the two.The only thing missing is a pair of tyre levers, but you can understand that they were left out to allow this to have such an elegant form (and crank bros also make the excellent speed lever). I wouldn't hesitate in buying this again, but will never need to as it feels like it will last a lifetime.

Not the cheapest nor the lightest cyclist's pocket multi-tool but everyone of its tools--with the exception of the Torx bit--fits some part of the cycle I bought it for specifically and the closely fitting ovoid case supplied reduces the rubbing contact in the pocket when carried on the bike.As with any compact multi-tool assembly it would be unsafe to rely on its abilities to achieve correct torque settings in workshop conditions; its forte is the capacity to carry out adjustment and repair at the roadside. If tempted by its neatness and its quality of finish then do check its specification against the need of your own bike--my pedals for instance respond to the 8mm hex key whilst others may need the 15mm spanner jaw which is not provided (and indeed is rare to find in a pocket tool set)and those folk with aero spokes may need to carry the specific tools for those in addition. On the whole an excellent purchase and I hope it will accompany my journeys for many years to come.

So received my tool 2 days a go, I got a black one rather than a silver which I wasnt expecting but prefer it to the silver. It is a solid lump of metal it feels really solid. Having read previous reviews about each tool being loose, I had the opposite had to put a little WD 40 to loosen it a bit but I'd rather too tight then overly loose. It comes in a great little aluminium box which is really nifty when in your saddle bag, stops puncturing spare tubes. The aluminium box is a little tight but once you get used to it, it is fine. I shall update this later on when I have had some proper use out of it.

Superb bit of kit, very well made and now you get a nice little case. I had one before and it served me very well but alas some vermin stole my bike along with my tool kit so had to replace tools with new bike. Its the first tool I have purchased along with a puncture repair saddle bag its an absolute must .These have a lovely smooth finish and solidly built its practically half of your bikes needs on the go just for odd tweek and the life saving link splitter tool which is by far the best one I have had used they tend to bust very quick on the cheap makes .Hope this helps

Excellent, solid and well-made multitool. I liked the fact that it comes in a case as it stops potential rips or damage to the saddle bag or my jersey pocket. In the few instances I have needed to use it, the tools have performed exactly as expected. The item is not light-weight but does have a nice solid feeling when using it.I haven't used any other bike multi-tools however, with most tools it is always buying something decent - especially if you are going to be using it on an expensive bike!

I purchased the M19 because I needed a chain-breaker and figured the multi-tool was worth a few extra bucks. I had recently broken my cheap Walmart chain-breaker and needed one to finish a bike repair. This multi-tool was substantially higher quality and broke the chain with ease. I was worried about the chain size because my chain was a 6-7-8 speed, but this tool worked perfectly. I have done a few repairs where I used the hex keys and those seem to be high quality as well.

I like the tool itself a lot actually. What I dont like is the cover. It is a nightmare to putnit in the cover ond taking it out. And without the cover it can puncture your spare inner tube or damage your phones screen if you keep them in the same bag. The tool itself is well built and sturdy. But I would recommend f10 or f15 instead of this. They have a better magnetic cover.

This bike tool is very well made and has already been subjected to a lot of stress. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that the hexs could be a bit longer. Their length makes it impossible to reach one hex-nut past my front sprocket. ...fortunately it's not something I can foresee needing to mess with away from home, so it shouldn't be a problem on the road. :D

Only just got it so can't say how longevity is. Quality and strength appears to be good. The grey version looks really smart. Good number of tools so should cover most emergency jobs out and about. The case it comes with does befuddle me a bit. It's a very, very tight fit which I don't understand why it should be. I'm in two minds whether to use the case.

Very sturdy multi-tool, I've used in multiple times in the month that I've had it and had no issues. The only thing I did have a small problem with was getting the cap off of the case that it comes with. Since it had to use a tool to get the cap off I decided not to keep the tool in the case, also because it is a VERY snug fit to get it back in the case.

I have the smaller Bare Bones bike tool, and wanted one with a few more tool options This is a well designed and made bike tool that comes with it's own sturdy case. You can throw it in your under seat pack for longer road or trail rides. A great value for anyone who wants to be able to make a quick adjustment to a bike component away from home.

I always carry this on my trail and have used twice to fix the broken chain on the fellow mountain biker. Although, end up with a bit of messy hands, it does feel good to help out the one in need. It's feels sturdy and is very reliable. Though it's a little pricey compared to the ones found in internet, it's worth having it.

Very happy with the item. Thought I'd use it to attach my new pannier rack, and it performed well (the difficulty of the task was not related with the tools in use!). Good selection of tools for such a small size. The case it comes with can be rather difficult to get in to, but maybe that's how it's supposed to be?

For £20 this little thing is an invaluable piece of kit for your rides, it has everything you need, comes in a solid metal case no no chance of it getting damaged if you fall off, looks cool and is very well made.Used it so many times for myself and people I've met on the trail, don't know how I did without it.

Really well specced tool with everything you need on the trail, would also recommend buying a small multi tool with pliers and a knife like a Gerber.Down side is it's quite chunky and the Allan keys are short so accessibility to some bolts can be a pain. It's also made from a low carbon steel so rusts easily
