Got this for myself and the dog. I've got a much bigger tent, but wanted something that was instant to pitch and that I could dry easily back home (so that nipping away for a short break would be little more hassle than throwing it in the car and going).I looked into various options and in the end was torn between this and the Outwell Fusion 400. Whilst that has a separate inner tent, it did look a bit fiddly to pack away and didn't have the same height this does (145cm, compared to 162 for this). Seeing how cheap these were on Amazon, I decided to get one.I'm very pleased with it. It is really easy to put up and take down (simply take it out of the bag, open out the poles, lift the middle section up and pull the telescopic legs down/open). There is a great video on YT (from SimplyHike) that gives a review and pitching demonstration. The height is really impressive for an instant pitch tent (I'm 5'10 and can nearly stand straight up in it).The size is fine for my needs. It is a bit small, but thinking of getting a folding camp bed for more space underneath (in case I want to use it for longer breaks). I'm also able to put it up indoors (if I move a few chairs out of the way) to dry it off and leave it overnight if it's too wet outside. It would fit 4 (especially teenagers or kids) with sleeping bags (but no room for anything else), two adults and a child (3 airbeds) or two airbeds with a little room (2-3 feet, depending on your bed width) in the middle. For me, there is enough room for an airbed, the dogs bed, a small ice box, a table and chair and all my gear with enough space to move around the middle and have a nicely lit sitting area by the door :)One thing that disapointed me was that there is no insect mesh on the door (it says there is in the above video). However, the closable mesh panel on the back is more than big enough for a tent this size so you don't really need one on the door as well. And if you're worried about bugs getting in, there is a plastic loop in the centre of the ceiling, so you could easily hang a cheap mosquito net down as an inner tent (I use it for hanging one of those cheap washing hangers from). My solution (to bugs) has been to just keep the door closed and instead of going in and out for cooking stuff, to put what I need in a small storage box (which also doubles up as a bedside table at night) before going outside to cook.(UPDATE: I've since bought a Sea to Summit Mosquito Net AMOSSP which fits perfectly across the door. It needs to be the double version, as it comes with a pole that (when the string is attached to the air vent at the right length) sits right across the top of the door. I just peg the right hand side (as the net has peg hoops on it) and you just need to close it across the door. Will put a photo or two on after. There are also a couple of meshed openings in the roof as well. All of these meshes and their covers can be zipped and closed from the inside (so no need to go outside anymore to close the vents when it is cold). It also has a zippable electrical opening on the base. Other "features" include a large pair of windows/curtains on the front and a pair of pockets (book-sized) inside. One last thing to be aware of; if, like me, you're going with a dog then the door isn't ideal. There is a straight zip along the base and a curved zip along the side and they both meet in the bottom corner when closed. That means if your dog pushes its snout around a bit (as they tend to around doors) where the zips are then they could easily push it open. There is a small triangle cover (about 6cm covering the zip ends), but I doubt very much it would stop them. My solution has been to just leave my camping chair in front of the door at night and to not leave my dog in the tent alone at any time. You could also close the zip ends with some twisted garden wire or a small padlock (from inside or out) so that it is securely closed. UPDATE: I've found that a spring-loaded keyring clip (the type you just press a little lever down to open) is perfect for clipping the zip ends together.Basically for one or two (especially for short breaks or multi-trip journeys) this is great. You will probably need a bigger tent still, but the ease of putting this up means it will always be tempting and will get a lot of use. Being able to throw a few things in the (lightly loaded) car and nip off for a weekend is quite a revelation if you're use to the struggles of a bigger tent :) There are only 8 base pegs and 4 guys to peg down. You can literally be fully set up and sat drinking your "post pitching cuppa" (with plenty of headspace around you) within 5-10 minutes!Optional Extras:Coleman Instant Tourer Tent Footprint -BlackColeman Tent Carpet 230 x 230 cmUniversal TarpI'd also recommend using low camp beds rather than airbeds (unfortunately taller ones will probably touch the tent sides) as it gives you space to store a few extra things shoes etc. since space is at a premium.

I purchased this tent as an alternative to a bivvy for fishing. I was sick and tired of crouching down to get in and out of my bivvy (JRC) and found this Coleman to fit the bill. Some real pluses... it goes up very easily with one person... it remains rigid in moderate winds without the guy ropes (one of my bug bears, tripping over guy ropes!)... rain will get in the vents if you do not Velcro them shut properly... the ground sheet is not the best and I fear it may rip after extended use (I have purchased a separate ground sheet from the local caravan shop, one of the woven type, which was a 'second' for £10 and cut it to size and it is not too heavy to carry along)... The back window is great, letting in air and having a mesh window so as bugs don't get in... no mesh to the front door which would have been nice but then I use the back window for that purpose... the flap for running electrics into the tent is great and no water comes in when it is used (I use 12 volt leisure batteries for my lights and entertainment so don't have to worry about battery acid getting inside, just leave the batteries outside)... buy some good pegs as the ones that come with the tent are too flimsy... when packing, Coleman had the foresight to make the bag larger than it needs to be so packing away is very easy (as mentioned by others, put a little pressure on the tent when folding to get the air out. I find that leaving the front door and back window slightly unzipped helps). The only thing I would like to see is what Coleman call the 'Rain Fly', which is an extra cover that goes about half way down the tent to help with rain ingress and condensation on cold nights. They do not import it to the U.K. market but do to Australia and of course, the U.S.A. Well done Coleman, you have come up with a good product (I use the Coleman Dual-Fuel stove, Dual-Fuel lantern, Coleman oven (which I ordered from the U.S.A.).

Right, First of all this is a heads up for all you peeps out there if your looking to buy this thing.First thing I'm an Engineer so as a lot of you guys will understand 1 we like thing to work and know how thing work 2 if they're not working we want to know why and 3 we fix it. Not for this for my part (upto now) .After reviewing a lot of Tents this always re-occurred as being being the best both a camping and Touring Tent so after a few months of debating.... I bought it.Now! reasons for buying 1 I'm Old, 52 so kicking om 2 working in heavy engineering breaks your back, 3 I still want to live and do things and go places. On my third Tent now 1st pop up (too small and sweaty) 2nd (good size and neat but too long to set up).3rd this one. After much research I decided to buy and after delivery which was prompt I had and now was mine.On first impression i said to myself " holy crap this is big"1 but after and reviewing it i was very surprised. It looks big and cumbersome but at 7.5gk it's very light and at 1.1 m to 1.2 m long a bit wide but thinking about it other than the width the weight ratio is superb on a Motorcycle which is about 50 to 80 kilo pending on your bike.one minuet set up "BOLLOCKS" ran it, av about 10mins and dismantle about the same. but that's not bad i did mine in adverse weather.Right enough of the journey man you need to know some thing.1 the fly sheet for this thing is Pants, invest in a decent Tarp with poles ie 3m x 3mthis Tent is big and cumbersome so worth investing in a vacuum buy strapping lots.I'm 52 years old now but i still want to go see and do..My Back is broken My neck is ruined and all my joints are spent....But when I get on my Bike and go...

So I was originally gonna go for the Coleman Coastline 3 Plus Tent, Three Person tent a year ago but then did some research and came across this Coleman Instant Tourer 4-man tent which was a similarly priced 'instant' tent. I had my reservations what with the cheap nasty pop up ones you usually associate with instant tents, however it was a last-minute purchase replacement for a missing tent (which I still can't find, lol) as I was due to go to Latitude Festival the next day and this was all I could get via Amazon Prime Now 2 Hour delivery service. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯Having arrived at the festival this thing no word of a lie took roughly 30 seconds to erect and all that was needed then was for it to bepegged down along with guide ropes which took only a couple of minutes and BOOM less than 5 minutes I was done chair out cider in hand soaking up the sun. B|It...was...EASILY THE MOST STRESS FREE tent I have EVER owned PERIOD!!! The quality of the materials as well was impressive like the funny spider/octopus looking fully integrated tent pole system that were already attached to the main tent bit. They felt well-made and looked like they could take a real punishment you know, oh and the sheer size of the tent as well you can bloody well stand up straight the Hight is fantastic and easily Width wise house 4 people let alone 3!! ;)Seriously I can't recommend it enough it's simply THE BEST camping purchase I've ever made in my life... :DTwitter: @LiamJDavid:)

Bought this after getting a demo of the new quechua big fold up tents - oh dear they have made them too complex. Also need a tent my quechua folding camp bed will actually fit into, and is not monstrously big footprint. Can see potential problems of not having a wet area to put muddy boots, but am sure I'll work out a solution. Bought for week long festival volunta ry working week stay. Might take old tent as a backup. Have put up once as a test run, and it was relatively easy, although two people would be better, as the arms need to be put out first. Putting away was very frustrating as legs keep popping open, and also material is full of air so needs sitting on to deflate. Ground sheet probably a good idea,as well as putting down when not in Sunday best. Will update with results of a weeks camping soon. Otherwise perfect size for one or two people.Being a tall person, small tents are just silly, this is 1st sensible tent between small and huge IMHO. Better than new popup range. And cheaper than a teepee.Only reason to get £5 Go Outdoors card for the discount they gave on this. There is a fly sheet for another model, and wonder if it will fit this. I have ordered one but expect it's coming from other side of planet by chug boat.

Great tent! Very spacious, which is the reason why I have purchased this item. Sturdy and very easy to assemble and disassemble. Packing great! It's big but I didn't expect it to be small either because it's a nice big tent that gets set up very fast. It is wet weather resistant and also some what waterproof. Wouldn't advise it for very wet weather. One little problem though, it came with a hole on the floor of the tent, on the ground sheet, right in the middle. We only saw it at the campsite, and we didn't have time to send the tent back and wait for another one before the holidays, so that is why we never set it up at home before leaving. And a constructive criticism: The doorway should alsohave a mosquito net to allow you to have the door way open for airflow on hot time of day or warmer weather whilst protecting the tent from mosquitos and other insects.Apart from all that, great tent! Had a great time in it. Beautiful once up, sturdy, spacious, weather resistant with the rain protective cover.I purchased the rain cover from Ebay.

I have owned many tents over the years and this is without doubt the best tent I have ever purchased. So easy to set up and can be erected with just one person in less than 3 minutes. I have taken this tent to several festivals under all weather conditions, so far it has proved very waterpoof in some terrible thunderstorms, that said it does produce condensation on the inside like many tents do hence only 4 stars. The condensation on the inside did cause some concern as where the two internal storage pockets sit along the tent wall the condensation forms droplets which run down and produce small puddles on the floor if left for sometime. The storage bag for this tent is great as its so large you will not not have to struggle to fit the tent in,even has plenty of room to store extra groundsheets if needed. I also purchased the extra add on rain sheet/porch which when added to this tent provides extra weather protection as well as an extra storage space for putting wet shoes/boots and such. Highly recommended.

Having no experience of putting up a tent, and with my partner having last put up a tent during her camping badge in Guides x number of years ago, I was somewhat nervous when I booked a gig that required camping! As such the 'instant' in the title drew me to this tent, and I can honestly report, that it isn't a misnomer. We have just had a dry run, and managed to put it up in about three minutes. The instructions were sewn into the bag, so no risk of them blowing off, although they were somewhat basic! The headroom inside the tent is great, especially as my partner can get slightly claustrophobic, and it will be ideal for a weekend away. We managed to put it down in very little time also, and the bag is spacious enough to cope with our inability to pack it up as tightly as when it came out. We can honestly say that we are very impressed, and that no Viagra will be needed! The built in groundsheet does seem somewhat vulnerable to damage, and as such we have opted to buy the optional footprint groundsheet.

The tent is brilliantly easy to use. The tent was up in 2 minutes, then spent another 2 minutes putting in the tent pegs and doing the guy ropes, so less than 5 minutes altogether. Both me and my wife are useless when it comes to assembling tents normally, so this was a godsend as it's completely idiot-proof and avoids any potential arguments from the beginning!! Survived a heavy downpour of rain and didn't leak at all. Also seems to be very solid and sturdy, would probably withstand quite a strong wind which is always the biggest concern. But the most brilliant thing of all about this tent is that the manufacturers have realised that it's extremely difficult to fold down the tent as small as it was originally packed, and have therefore had the foresight to provide a carry bag which is bigger so you don't have the problem of trying to squeeze it into a tight fit bag, you just fold it down and push a bit of the air out and it goes back in the bag straight away. Sounds obvious, but a bit of genius really.

I had put this tent up before my daughter and friend had even finished putting the poles in theirs - absolutely brilliant !I took notice of other reviewers and bought a mosquito net and created a bedding area. Also there is a knack to sliding out the telescopic legs. One reviewer spoke of the poles buckling, I was finding it very very hard initially to extend the legs - i realised i wasn't approaching as in the vidio trailer ( worth watching ) and in danger of that happening to me . Pulled the legs out to the correct position and they slid up with no effort whatsoever .Also feel its useful to Keep some cardboard or some bubble wrap and put it round the centre where the pokes attach as you put it down to protect the fabric of the tent .This is the best tent I have purchased ,easy to erect, actually fits with ease into its bag, great ventilation. Only downside I can see is that it does not have as many guy ropes as normal hence how it would fare in a very heavy wind I have no idea.

Instant tourer, literally means what it says, I took the kids camping alone, easy to put up is literally instant for a female or male (I'm female). Poles are attached which makes this really good, simply lay flat, extend poles to click and hey presto, tent is fully erected. Can squeeze four in at a push with no room for storage or very minimal storage. This is perfect when raining, to get up and down immediately without getting too wet. Comes with carry bag. Even when in bag, this is very light. You wouldn't know it was a tent inside. I can't recommend this enough. It is small, but ideal if you only want to sleep in it and not have lots of games inside, bags etc. Easy vents on top to open and close by velcro. This really is the perfect tent, whoever designed it is a genius. Ropes come attached so all you need is a rubber hammer to hammer stakes in on tent and ropes. Stakes included. It literally takes a few minutes max 3mins at most.

Love how easy this tent is to put up! I climbed Scafell pike and then headed to the campsite at 7pm, really couldn't be bothered faffing but the tent was up in minutes. like other reviews have mentioned the only negative is the fact there is no fly net on the front door which is a pain when you have dogs but there is the large window with the net at the rear. Some reviews mentioned that the tent wasn't very waterproof so I bought some waterproofing spray and proofed it before I left but had no rain so can't comment. I did notice a few little holes around the seems on the inside so don't know if I will have a problem with that in future but for now the ease of putting the tent up/taking it down and packing it away into the large bag provided outweighs any negative. It also has good head height, I used it with camp beds so we could store stuff underneath and there was plenty of room for 2 people and 2 dogs :-)

A very easy tent for one person to erect or pack away ! A great space inside for my airbed , all my stuff and the good hight allows you to stand up inside or relax in a chair during bad weather. You must zip the door up completly when it rains !!!! Good ventilation and the choice of window or privacy is great . if there were more than two of you you would want to use the porch attachment that can be bought separately to keep your stuff in , the same would be said if you expected lots of rain . just used it at a festival over a windy , cold weekend , was perfect and cozy with a footprint to protect the groundsheet and the Colman carpet to keep the floor warm and clean .packed away clean and ready for the next outing . well made , lots of storage pockets, gap for power lead, well stitched . next outing is for a week so I will be trying out the porch as well .

I bought this to go to a festival and it was great. It went up in no time at all and I was sat comfortably in the bar about 5 mins later. With a large blow up double bed there is enough room for a couple with kit but I wouldn’t want to try getting more people in. It’s a single skin so there is a bit of condensation but a quick wipe and its fine. I put the tent up in the garden as soon as it arrived and treated the seams and skin with waterproofed (I am a bit OCD with things like that) one night it absolutely smashed it down and we were bone dry inside but I don’t know if we would have been if the tent had been untreated so I cant really pass judgement on it.If you want something that goes up really quickly for a short getaway or even a spare bedroom in the garden in the summer for surprise guests you could spend a lot more and get a lot less.

First time out with this tent this weekend (very hot one) the rear window/vent was very helpful in keeping the tent cool for as long as possible. It is up around 30 degrees. The space is more than expected and we had space for a double air bed with plenty of space to the side for extras. I could see in not so nice weather that with the air bed deflated there would be plenty of space for a couple of chairs and a table. Just enough height to get changed without too much hassle, with everything built in it kept the dog in nicely at night. But obviously the speed of erection was the main selling point for me. a Weekend camp is so much easier now with this tent you can be unloaded, inflated and erected in 15 minutes, great for a Friday-Sunday getaway to the beach. only the test of time and different weather conditions will show its true value.
