After reading some of the reviews I weren't sure about buying these but my mate had them on her draws and she said they were brilliant, she just had a bit of problem with the screws. When I received them, I asked my dad to fit them as he had to use a drill. I'd say to all these people that have had problems fitting them, why didn't you think of a drill? Makes it so much simpler.I've only attached these to my cupboards as my daughter doesn't attempt to open the draws (well not yet anyway) and I've lost count how many times I've actually pulled the cupboard open (forgetting its locked) I'm lucky they haven't snapped off like some people have reported, I've had them for about a month.I've not had a problem with them besides having to drill them on.*UPDATE - 09 May 2012*So I've had these for over a year now and guess what? I have five of them still very much in place! I really don't know why these have bad reviews but they have been completely fine on my cupboards so I guess it just depends what its made from. As for only having five left, the one that snapped was completely my fault as I slammed the door as I was in a bit of a mood but these have been brilliant and my little one is now nearly 3 years old, yes she will try and put her hand inside but she still hasn't figured out how to open them!

As the little ones grow up and become more adventurous their hands get into everything and then everything goes into their mouths. These are great, not only to protect your children but to protect things around the house. Unfortunately I learnt this the hard way when my games console became a piggy bank.Since purchasing these I have managed to keep those little hands at bay. They can be a little tricky to fit and if you use the wrong size screwdriver you may end up stripping the screw. I found drilling a small guide hole speeds up the hole process and makes it a little easier. You could even use a small sticky pad to hold them in place while you line up the screws. You can position these so that the cupboard or drawer does not open so much but then it will become difficult to open.I have found these to be very durable and so far they are withstanding all persistent attempts to get around them.As these are inserted inside of the cupboard you don’t have to worry about visible damage, there are sticky locks available which are attached outside but if adding to veneer there is a good chance it will peel when removing.

These are good, if you're prepared to go to the trouble of screwing them into place. That's simple enough, but as some other reviewers have said, fiddly. The plates that fit against the woodwork are somewhat small, so you may struggle to use your drill and/or electric screwdriver at the correct angle. Mark the position of the holes first, then remove the plastic doohickey for drilling. The screws that are supplied are cheap and nasty, and can shear off... this means a decent pilot hole will be required if your doors are made from oak. For chipboard veneer, you'd probably be OK with just a poke with a bradawl to start you off.Be warned that these clips won't suit every kind of door opening.I can't fit one under the sink, because there's no rooms for the long plastic 'hook'. Still, I'm very glad to have fitted these everywhere, to keep inquiring little hands away from mucky and hazardous places.

Had no problem fitting these at all and after some thorough 'testing' by my 2 year old they're still perfectly intact. He doesn't even bother attempting to open cupboards any longer so life in the kitchen is less stressful now!I used a drill with a small drill bit to create a pilot hole for the screws as some people said they're difficult to screw in.These locks are discreet and easy to open (for adults) although the extra step of pushing the clip away from its catch to open the cupboard is a bit annoying to start with. That's the nature of cupboard locks I suppose and if they were easy to open then that'll defeat their purpose.

As helpful at the little one probably thought he was being getting the plates and bowls out of the cupboard for us in advance of a meal, I don't think we needed the entirety of its contents spread across the floor, so something had to be done. Queue the cupboard lock!Basic, but effective from deterring even the cleverest of toddlers (for now!) these have worked a charm. They don't take long to line up and fit and you're good to go. Easy to open for (most) adults and older children, and the door still closes smoothly without catching.Very pleased with the Clippasafe Cupboard Lock for saving my sanity (and my neck).

These are fine - very basic but easy enough to install with a screwdriver (I'd recommend an electric one). They do work - I still forget they're on sometimes and get frustrated when I try to open a kitchen cupboard and find it's locked!! They're easy to use though and my toddler seems to have lost interest in trying to open the cupboards now that she can't, which is the main thing. Now I just need to find something similar for the laundry basket to stop her pulling out all our clean pants and scattering them across the floor : -)

Was quite fiddly to fit and line up properly, but once done they work really well, stop the little one getting into the cupboards and she (thankfully!) hasn't worked out how to open them... yet. It does still allow cupboards etc to open wide enough to trap little fingers though, especially if they try to open them with some force and then that bounces the door back to the frame with the fingers in the way, but nothing that can't be avoided by keeping an eye on them (and they soon learn the meaning of the word "careful!")

Required pilot holes for screws, lead light for peering in cupboard, athletic physique for crouching/lying in front of cupboard. Not easy to mark out for screw holes. Slotted brackets allow some adjustment. They feel a little brittle but so far so good. Toddler has lost interest now doors don't open. Would not stand up to serious attempt by older child.

I tried some other fancier drawer locks but had problems with them, these are really simple in design and just work. A little bit fiddly to fit but used a drill to put pilot holes in then a power screwdriver to fit the screws, took about 10 minutes to do the first one but was down to around 2 minutes to fit by the time I had sone a few of them

I`m a mother of 4 ,and trying to keep your little one`s safe is a task.I purchased the clipsafe cupboard locks and fitted them my self. The instructions were clear and precise. Now my youngest can come into the kitchen with me and be safe, knowing that she can`t get to the items in my cupboards that could do her harm.excellent product.

This cupboard locks are great for locking the cupboards they are one of the best I have tried. They can be inserted in to any type of cupboard and are very easy to assemble it was they can be used in drawers which is even better my little one cannot get into any of my kitchen cupboards and drawers I highly recommend this product.

purchased these to replace one that had broken on a previous set I'd boughteasy to install and well well for keeping very young children out of cupboards but still allowing easy access when neededpretty durable tho can split if the screws are tightened too much as happened over time on one previous latchall in all good product

...which means I love 'em, because they're the only thing standing between him and all these wonderful, breakable things that should obviously be strewn all over the floor. They work well and once you've got the knack opening cupboards one-handed whilst carrying a child/stack of plates/whatever in the other is a breeze

Simple to fit, we have attached these to a variety of cupboards and drawers in our kitchen, easy to see how they connect and fit.I keep forgetting that they're there as we've just pit them on, so they have withstood quite strong tugs at times! Good to know for when young people put them to the test!

These locks are quite fiddly to fit but once on, work well. The locks are also hidden from view as fitted completely to the inside of the cupboard so no ugly plastic bits on view. Seem very sturdy as they've been on a while and I've often forgotten they're on and yanked the door and they've survived!
