Well I ordered this microscope on a whim for christmas for my fiancee. She is a biology geek and was trying to figure out a way to include the kids in on some cool stuff. Well after fighting with the drivers with a new windows 7 (64bit)laptop I finally got it to work with a different video capture software other than what comes with it. As far as function goes and taking images it works rather well. We looked at cloth, and leaves, sticks, dirt, agates, all sorts of stuff with it. And every image was nice and clear with a bit of playing around moving it a little here and there. For certain things they looked allot better when wet while others not so much.

Easy to set up, worked straight away with no problem, but can be awkward to get focus with small items as they go insidethe lens cover, but a couple of spacers, one either side of the small item to rest the lens cover on will help.On flat items such as stamps it works well, as having it displayed large on the screen is much better than using an eye glass or traditional magnifying glass.

Great fun. This item has so many uses. One of them is blowing up images to see what is in a picture you can't see with the naked eye. I recommend this product and seller.

Just be sure you have a standard computer or laptop. This works great on my Toshiba but get dodgy on my NetBook other than that very handy little product.

I am very happy with my mini handheld digital microscope. True the range of focus is quite limited but for the price I believe I made a great choice

wished it was able to be mirrored correctly on a Mac.
