Camelback has been in the hydration game a long, long time and when you see their name on a product you get the impression that it is high quality... and it is. The finish on this bottle is superb. The quality of the seal for the lid is also excellent and it is a vacuum insulated type- so it's double wall with a vacuum between the walls. There are many double-wall bottles on the market but not all are actually vacuum type like the old school bottles which cost a bit more, but always kept things hot or cold longer than anything else. The only thing I really don't care for is how the lid opens and closes for drinking. It requires rotating the lever most of the way around the top to open or close, which isn't really something one can do one handed or simply. The open and closed indicator icons are difficult to see at a glance to know if it's safe to drop it in your gym bag or not. The rotating lever is tight enough that it can unscrew the lid if it's not cranked on there hard. Just not a quick/easy solution. However, it fits in my car cup holders, which many insulated bottles won't. The finish is durable and it looks better than the cheaper off-brand stuff. It's quality stuff... just can't get past that awkward lid if using while working out or other activity where you need a quick open/close.

The Good: It's a good sized bottle (20 oz.), pretty color, and feels solid without feeling too heavy. The lid lock works to keep liquid sealed in, and has symbols etched on it so you can see when it's locked and when it's closed. I love the insulation on the bottle, it doesn't sweat profusely when filled, and it's been fine when I put it in the dishwasher. The Bad(ish): I really don't have any complaints with this water bottle's design. It is exactly as shown in the pictures. This is completely my personal preference - I prefer to have a handle on my bottle. I have a black Camelbak 1 liter bottle that is among my favorites for whenever I'm going to be outdoors for any length of time. This is the type of bottle I like having if I don't have to walk around with the bottle, but am driving somewhere, or in my office, and want to have water at my disposal. If I go hiking, I'd prefer a handle. Otherwise, it's great. The Bottom Line: I really like this bottle, even without a handle, and it's a great addition to my collection. I will continue to use it. I like Camelbak bottles for their quality, plastic and stainless steel and will continue to purchase them.**product provided through Amazon for review**

I got this because it's narrow enough to fit in my car's smallish cupholders, just over 2-5/8" across at the bottom, a little over 2-7/8" at the middle. It's 10-1/4" tall with the lid on.The lid is completely leakproof when closed, not even the slightest drip. You have to turn it almost 360 degrees to get from fully closed to fully open or vice versa. It's pretty stiff, so it takes two hands to open or close. Nice and smooth while turning, feels like it will hold up.Water flows easily from any side when the lid is open, easy to drink from. The insulation works well, keeps cold stuff cold for a long work day, though it's hardly the most insulated bottle out there. You can put hot beverages in it too,as long as they're not boiling hot. It's not suitable for any kind of chunky beverage or soup because of the way the lid works. The lid is dishwasher safe but the bottle is supposed to be hand washed. The matte finish looks good, doesn't show fingerprints.Made in China.

I thought I was getting the perfect water bottle by choosing one with a screw-on cap. Yes, drinks stay contained in the car, but I’ve since discovered it’s a hassle and danger to unscrew while driving. When our grand kids visit, they all bring Camelbak bottles with them, and I’ve been impressed with their bottle designs. I thought if this company can make secure bottles for kids, surely their adults bottles are made equally as well. I switched over to this sleek looking bottle, and love the cap design. A simple turn of the top locks or opens the unit, and it’s easy to see which mode it is in because there’s an easy-to-read diagram on the black screw-on lid. It fits well in my car,but it’s so trim that I now bring the bottle indoors to my cramped work station. It fits in perfectly there—the bottle is about 10” tall but only 2 ½” wide—takes up very little desk space. It’s nice having cold water at all times.

UPDATE: I must say opening and closing this bottle is a bit of a pain. It seems like it doesn’t move smoothly. I’m not sure if that changed because I’ve washed it or not? But I wish it was easier to turn the top to open and close it.CamelBak for another great win! I'm familiar with their bladder bags, so I didn't think this bottle would be anything less! It keeps my drinks cool. I don't find myself pouring water down the front of me. Some water bottles have such weird opening that you get covered in your drink no matter how slowly you sip, but this one is perfect! The color is nice, I'm not afraid of some color! I'm super passed and happy to have this bottle on hot summer days!
