Must be heated from cold. It does tend to burn the pizza base but I think with time we will get the hang of the timing. Advise of flourish the stone may be the cause of burning, so for us, still trial and error. That said, it is very crispy, so perfect for me!

Only used this once so far in our home oven, work really well making the base crispy, the only issue we had was transferring the pizza on to the hot stone but I figure that is more about technique.

Handy item to add to the Cadac for evenings on the road. Alternatives of a similar design are available at less cost but stick to the name for quality.
