Firstly, I would suggest that no-one uses just the lights you may have on your helmet. Too often I've missed cyclists that have been looking to the side and thus not been shining a light in my direction. These are strictly in the 'additional, you can't have too many' lighting category. The wires from the switch to the LEDs is deliberately short I suspect, to reduce the length you'd have floating around in your helmet. As the wires are moderately thick, it does mean you have to be careful where you run them, to ensure you're not putting strain on the lights themselves. Sticky pads can only hold so much for so long. Having said that, the pads are strong, if fiddly to tear off and apply. You need to make sure you're right first time when applying them, or you'd best get some more (from the pound shop).Once the lights are in place, you can attach the switch to your helmet strap. This is the worst part of the design. It's a rotary switch which relies on the body not moving when you twist it. As the clip in the back isn't designed for thick straps, there's the possibility you'd just turn the whole unit, and it could fall off. Personally I take my helmet off and turn the light on, to make sure it's working. These are fairly typical high output LED's, which are fairly directional. Blindingly bright to hold in your hand and look at directly. You could be easily seen at night if you're looking straight ahead. They are less effective if you look down or to the side though. That's a problem with this type of light, not the unit itself.Overall a neater solution than the lights that sit on top of the helmet.

Incredibly lightweight, adds another lighting option in a more prominent location, very simple to operate.However....I had to look twice in the packaging for the "sticky pads", which are actually just short bits of double-sided tape, but the top bit of paper is near impossible to remove.I'll be replacing them asap with the wee sticky pads that you get to hold up posters, etc, and might see if I can use electrical tape instead.....or as one reviewer already suggested, glue!

Realy pleased with this item. Easy to fit into the helmet. Looks like the helmet came like it as standard. Very well made and the means to turn the lights on fits smartly to the hemlet strap just behind the ear when worn. Easy to switch on and very bright. An excellent safety addition and very highly recommended......

I brought these as a way to make myself more visible to other road uses, I wanted something that was light and not bulky. These lights fitted that bill, my only gripe would be for there to be a better way to attach them to my cycle helmet. They do come with double sided tape but maybe Velcro would be better.

Let down by the sticky tape! The lights themselves are great. Light and easy to fit, but they wouldn't stay adhered to the tape. They are now fixed in place with a dot of super glue and look brill

These fit right into my brain bucket with zero trouble. I didn't even need the adhesives. They're pretty bright as well and they are better than a too mounted light in my opinion.

And expensive piece of kit for what it is, so it was a shame when the lights wouldn't adhere. I eventually had to resort to gluing them in place.

Designed to fit any type of helmet, it is easy to install. The only downside is the switch on/switch off button which could be a bit more robust.

Great product, but be prepared to replace the sticky pads for securing the lights, they only stick well for a few months of heavy use.
