I had been looking for a light to fit on the seatstay as opposed to the seat post, something which is a bit of a rarity it seems.I always ride with a flashing rear light attached to the seatpost and a permanent/non-flashing rear light on the seatstay.I saw this light for sale at a bargain price and thought it was worth giving it a go, the spec seemed a bit basic as it's not USB rechargeable, it only uses AAA batteries and the lumen output was a lot lower than that publicised by other manufacturers.Upon receiving the light it feels solidly built and the size is relatively compact, the mounting "bracket" is a bit odd as you have to use a cable tie to attach it to the frame.

I wanted a rear light that mounts to the mudguard and this does and has a reflector area as well. Its been on my bike for about 2 years and uses AAA batteries. It is a good bright light especially at night.It doesn't have a flashing mode - because I have read the German standards don't allow this. I think, as a car driver, in those slightly dull winter days a flashing light is easier seen than a solid one. ( it also saves your batteries).Therefore for me it would be perfect if it had a flashing mode so only 4 stars.
