If you like to dress up as an 1880's saloon owner and have a moustache to match, this saddle is for you. If you're the kind of person who drills holes on his bike lock keys to save weight, maybe not so much.If your bike has a configuration where the handlebars are higher than the saddle (that's hipster for seat), or where you sit more upright, than get this model. Of you weigh more than 250 lbs, buy one of their "heavy duty" saddles. If you have a bike where you're more leaned forward, get the B17. If you lean backwards in your seat then slow down!Yes, this seat is kind of ...firm. It supposedly softens with use and once it forms to your patookus it's reputed to be like having your butt cradled by well-hydrated angels. With the standard leather this happens somewhere between 0 and 1,000 miles. With the aged leather it is faster, so I guess -200 to 800? I don't know, I've only ridden about 8 miles on it so far. I ride a Dutch style behemocycle which weighs more than I do, and my scrawny butt has no padding at all. I'm a bit sore, but I get the impression (ha!) it's going to be very nice once it breaks in.If you get the aged seat, you should not put Proofide or other conditioned on the top of this seat, only on the bottom. I didn't even bother. If you get regular leather, use Proofide or Obenauf's at first to help protect the leather and get it to soften slightly for faster break in.Lastly: much like a mogwai, this saddle should not get wet. Some say it will ruin it, but even Brooks says that a good soaking won't hurt it if you don't ride it when it's wet and you let it dry naturally. I got raincover for mine so those unexpected Colorado afternoon thunderstorms don't leave my stranded. I'm thinking about covering the cover with duct tape to make it less appealing to thieves.Geez, I'm suddenly realizing how high maintenance this is for a bike seat. The price one pays for vanity, I suppose.

have now owned a Brooks B67 saddle for 9 years, and at the moment do upwards of 1000 miles a year commuting back and forward to work on a variety of surfaces (roads, farm tracks and field paths) in all weathers. I am, shall we say, heavily built (18 stones or so). I use a very upright riding position on a Raleigh Oakland. In the past I have had a variety of saddles that all had the same problems. 1) they all broke in less than a year and 2) they were all buttock breaking torture devices that made cycling a pain to be endured rather than a pleasure. Brooks have changed all that for me. The saddle took a few rides to break in (I am not sure if I broke the saddle in or if it broke me in!)and needed adjusting a time or two to get the weight distribution perfect, but after that it has been an absolute delight that has transformed cycling into a real joy for me, and made me use the bike instead of the car a lot more. It has a sturdy construction and a wide seat that is perfect for the upright position I prefer and the wide posterior that I own. The springs iron out so much of the bumpy road surface that it will change your view of cycling altogether. It needs a little upkeep, it is important to make sure the leather is properly tensioned and a bit of leather conditioner doesn't go amiss, but after a few thousand miles this is still just as comfortable and looks just as good as when I first started using it. A brilliant saddle, 5 stars.

Havent ridden famous break in distance of 500 miles (?) yet, but so far so good. Mine is different from this model only in that I went for the honey coloured one. Be careful you dont buy the model marked "S", for short, thats the ladies version - unless you are a lady. You will also need to by the Brooks dubbin that softens the leather. I would also strongly suggest buying the saddle cover at the same time - useful for keeping dust off when storing, the rain off when parked in the wet, and for avoiding scuffing when turning the bike upside down (I think it would badly scuff quickly without it).The only slight problem I noticed so far is that, being all shiney at first I suppose, you are less fixed on the seat and so at the moment it is a little more sore from rubbing than the seat the bike came with. But what I also noticed was that the springs do a great job at absorbing all those horrible jars from pothole - no longer do I yelp and have to hold myself out of te saddle at every miserable pot holes.I hear the leather gets softer and adapts to your shape, making for a very comfy ride. You can buy pre-aged versions, but that defeats the point a bit.

This is my first Brooks leather saddle, and I am absolutely thrilled. Had previously on my Citybike also only the standard plastic / gel saddles. The same did not last long, and of seat comfort I could not really not speak. And on longer trips I usually had violent pain in the perineum area from 30-40 km. So I decided to buy a new saddle. Because of the many positive reviews of the Brooks saddles, I decided to use the sprung version, because I still had the opinion in the back head that the Brooks saddles must be entered long. But this is absolutely not so with this saddle. After delivery of the saddle I installed it immediately, and am driven about 90 km, without problems. After a good 14 days and about 500 kilometers traveled, nothing hurt me, and the saddle is still felt a little better every day. Only I have slightly adjusted the seat adjustment. This makes the bike much more fun and I also climb on tours of 100-150 km without pain and good-humored from the saddle. This is what we want. And for just € 59, - this is really a bargain.

pros...This is the best saddle I have ever had the pleasure of sitting on. It is made in the genuine old fashioned way that saddles are supposed to be made, that means to last a life time. The leather is made of quality hides, that are thick and will mold to your backside and your gentlemanly parts as well. It is an age old tradition to break leather things in, and given some time, it will be a perfect fit, completely custom to your backside. It is leather so there are some things you will need to know before use...leather unlike living cows, does not like water or rain. Leather when dyed will rub off just a bit before it settles. Leather will mold to your seating position and riding style as it ages.Leather also needs just a bit of care to make it last for a long time.cons...wish I had got the leather protector cream when I bought it, now I have to buy it and ship it separately.

I have not been truly comfortable on a bicycle saddle since I was a teenager. I am male 80 kg, 5'11'' and in my early 60s. I have a Brompton bike with M bars giving me a fairly upright posture. I found the standard Brompton saddle didn't suit me at all. I was persuaded to buy this saddle by other positive reviews. I was concerned about the potential longish breaking in period but right away it was more comfortable than any saddle I have previously experienced (wearing non padded trousers). My ride is no longer limited by discomfort and I no longer feel I have to stand on the pedals for broken road surfaces (of which there are plenty). Its definitely more slippy than most modern saddles but not sufficient to be an issue for me.Thank you Brooks.

I have bought this as a last chance solution for my sore prostrate, and so far I am delighted I have only done 12 miles but what struck me was the pressure point that is very sore for me has just disappeared .So the ride yesterday was comfortable throughout and today I actually feel like I want to get on the bike again because its pain free. I have had 2 gel seats over the last 2 years and though initially they are comfortable a year per saddle though is not good value for moneyUpdate, I have now used this saddle 13 miles a day for the last 5 weeks no more sore prostrate it may expensive when compared with gel saddles but as far as I'm concerned it wins hands down this is an investment for myhealth.

Stupid price - about 3 times that of other mid priced sprung saddles. That's why I won't give 5 stars. (But the prices vary day by day and by colour - today I see a range from £64 to £83.) And you need to factor in the Proofide leather nourisher at £10 a tin.But anyway, I decided to go for this saddle having seen the reviews of this and the more sensibly-priced saddles - basing my decisions on comments on comfort and build quality.I've now done a couple of 2-hour rides without having to stop because of bum-ache, which I was suffering from with my previous saddle (mid-price unsprung), even with three layers of padding. So, objective achieved.Only time will tell about build quality.

This saddle has provided an excellent ride from the start on my round-town bike, but it needs precise adjustment (overall saddle height, back and forth position, tilt) in relation to the handlebar, to avoid continuous sliding (towards the front in my case). I found that a slight angle pointing up works for me (as opposed to the usual perfectly levelled set). Also, after a few weeks, some noise developed when riding over bumps. I sprayed a little amount of grease on the front and read attach point to the frame, and the noise disappeared (I suspect actually the front attach was the cause). Highly recommended for city bikes

Everyone in the cycling world knows of the quality, history and tradition that stands behind a Brooks product. This is my first time puchasing a Brooks saddle. The B67. Wow the attention to detail is amazing. Even the packaging is high quality and fully recyclable. The aroma of tanned English leather when you open the box is so luxurious. They include a wrench and care instructions. Finding the best price at Bikeinn let me afford this special upgrade. My saddle traveled half way around the world and got to me in very reasonable time and in perfect condition.

Saddles are tough to rate, as the experience is different for each rider, but this is the absolute best saddle I have ever used. I put this on a 2014 Trek FX 7.4 and it really is perfect. It's beautiful to look at. It was comfortable from the first ride - no break in period. I commute 16 miles a day on this bike and ride 100+ miles a week for fitness and this saddle continues to be the the most comfortable I've ever owned. As a side note, I'm a large man at 6'5" and 240 lbs. and I have not had it sag or need tensioning. Great product. Highly recommended.

I have owned this saddle for a few months. It was comfortable out of the box. However, it keeps getting better. I have a few hundred miles on it now and I love it. I am currently riding a Trek 7100 and would like to up grade to either a Trek 520 or Surly Long haul Trucker. Guess what? The B67 is going on that next bike. If you purchase this I would also recommend the proofhide and the Brooks saddle cover. Both are worth the extra cash to protect your saddle. If your skeptical, don't be!! THIS WILL BE THE LAST SADDLE YOU EVER PURCHASE!!!

The Brooks B67 is a great saddle. The leather moulds to your shape so it gets more comfortable the more you ride your bike. Had tried several other makes of saddle but was not happy with any of them but now I have the B67 it’s the saddle to keep. Just kept getting more comfortable until now I ride without even noticing I’m sat on it anymore. It does look dearer than some other saddles but when you experience the long term comfort you realise its great value.

I was building a cruiser bike and was not holding back on using quality parts. When I saw this saddle I knew that I had to have it. I love the look and the leather top is spectacular. I rode my bike on a one hour ten mile bike ride through central Maui and I was comfortable all the way. I can just imagine when It is finally broken in and since I take care my stuff I'm sure this saddle will last a long time.

Have tried many other saddles and, aah, not meeting my expectations. Was dubious at first but soon became a believer. When you think about it; note how leather gloves adapt and fit so well. Leather stretches and adapts to contours. As a westerner;horse saddles, for centuries made of leather, have been the choice for cowboy “sit bones” and the horses backs you sit on; to ride; you think?
